Chapter 84 Fight

The conversation in the house seemed particularly boring because of Wang Tuo's presence.

Ying Changfeng was a gentle person. No matter what Wang Tuo asked, he answered him patiently. Lin Hai was almost drowsy listening to him.

Xiang Sheng simply waved his sleeves to create a barrier around him, and then he focused on tempering his true essence.

Lin Hai was awakened by the fluctuations of the formation. Seeing the barrier on the opposite side, he immediately set up a barrier and started practicing.

In the next few days, there were occasional frictions when the monks moved around on the spirit boat, but under the suppression of the Tianqing Pavilion, no trouble was caused.

Xiang Sheng turned a deaf ear to what was happening outside the window. He spent day and night in the house refining his true energy and never took a single step out.

Such concentration earned the admiration of fellow apprentice Ying Changfeng and his brother.

Wang Tuo, on the other hand, had been wandering around the Spirit Boat for the past few days, rarely seeing anyone. It wasn't until the Four Pole City approached and the Tianqing Pavilion banned cultivators from wandering around that he finally returned to his house and settled down.

After several hours, Xiang Sheng, who was immersed in cultivation, suddenly felt a sense of weightlessness as he fell rapidly.

She suddenly opened her eyes, stood up and walked to the window of the house. On the vast wasteland, the outline of a huge, lonely, square city immediately came into view.

It was noon at this moment, and the sun was shining brightly in the sky, shining on the tiles of the ancient buildings in the city, making them sparkle.

The city's layout was extremely symmetrical, and it looked a bit like the imperial palace of a previous life. However, compared to the imperial palace, the scale of this city was much larger.

Xiang Sheng was thinking secretly when he suddenly heard Ying Changfeng shout, "Brother Wang, we have arrived at Siji City."

Wang Tuo immediately came over and gasped when he saw the huge city on the ground: "It's huge!"

Lin Hai couldn't help but burst out laughing and jokingly said, "Brother Wang, how come such a magnificent city becomes so tacky in your mouth?"

"Am I wrong?"

Wang Tuo gestured with his hands and hummed, "This Siji City is so big, it can accommodate thousands of Wangjia Villages!"

Ying Changfeng also laughed in silence. Looking at Xiang Sheng who was always serious beside him, he subconsciously restrained his smile a little, coughed twice, and said, "Stop joking. Let's get into the city as soon as possible."

The speed of the spirit boat's descent gradually slowed down, and it finally stopped steadily at the north gate of Siji City.

"The four sides of the Siji City are symmetrical, and each has a gate."

This was clearly not Ying Changfeng's first time here. After disembarking from the spirit boat, he led Xiang Sheng and the other two towards the city, admonishing them, "Most ancient cities have forbidden air formations, and this one is no exception. Remember not to take to the air, lest you be wiped out by the formation."

Wang Tuo and Lin Hai's faces tightened as they listened, and they nodded in unison.

Xiang Sheng's eyes flashed, "Where are we going?"

"Siji City has the strongholds of the sects that made the list in the previous round in Dongzhou, and our sect also has them."

Ying Changfeng said, looking a little embarrassed: "Last time, our sect ranked 497th, and the stronghold we were assigned wasn't very big. But don't worry, my two fellow Daoists, it's more than enough for the four of us to live in."

Xiang Sheng nodded slightly to show that he understood.

Following Ying Changfeng, everyone walked through the streets.

Tomorrow is the day when the Dongzhou Competition begins. Cultivation sects from all over the country have come here in droves, and the streets are bustling with people, making it very lively.

In a trance, Xiang Sheng seemed to have returned to the original Xuanwang City.

But nowadays, no one will pester her and call her "sister" or "sister" all the time.

Walking through the bustling city, the group of four found themselves in increasingly secluded areas, and finally arrived at a house with a half-open door, from which they could faintly hear voices.

Lin Hai walked cautiously to the door and saw several young monks talking inside through the crack. Suddenly, a strange look appeared on his face. He turned around and said, "Brother, you didn't remember it wrongly, did you?"

Ying Changfeng's face darkened slightly. He took a step forward and swept away the gravel beside the door with a flick of his sleeve.

An old door lintel that was folded in half was revealed. The crease was very new, and the mark of Wanjianmen on it was clear and visible.

Lin Hai's expression changed slightly, "Brother, this..."

"Isn't this Senior Brother Ying?"

The door suddenly opened, and a mean-looking young man stepped out. His inverted triangle eyes were filled with mockery. "I haven't seen you in a few years. Why do you look a bit older, Brother Ying?"

"Junior Brother Wei."

Ying Changfeng's face was filled with shock and dismay. "After you disappeared, Master was deeply troubled, but he never thought that you... you would actually go elsewhere without permission?!"

"What do you mean by going somewhere else?"

The mean young man had a cold expression on his face and sneered, "I have been cultivating in the Wanjian Sect for fifty years, but my master is unwilling to teach me even the sect's core skills! He only has eyes for you, so how can he have me as his disciple?

If I hadn't chosen the right time to find another master, my precious time in cultivation would have been wasted by a bunch of hypocritical people like you!"

Ying Changfeng was shocked and angry when he heard this: "Junior Brother Wei, your state of mind is not good enough. Master is doing this for your own good, and you actually..."

"What's good for me?"

The sarcastic young man interrupted coldly, his voice filled with resentment, "Don't try to fool me with your state of mind. It's simply that the sect's resources are only enough to support one person, and he ultimately chose you over me."

"Junior brother, why bother talking nonsense with them?"

Behind the mean young man, a tall young man walked out calmly. He looked at Ying Changfeng with his hands behind his back and said calmly, "Fellow Daoist Ying, this stronghold is occupied by my Changyue Sect. Your sect should find another place to stay."

The young man's words were calm, but they carried an undeniable sense of dominance.

“Why?!”

Lin Hai, young and full of energy, immediately shouted in disbelief, "This is our Wanjian Sect's stronghold. You are the ones who should get out!"

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone in Changyue Sect burst into laughter.

A hint of a smile appeared on the tall young man's face. "The Wanjian Sect is truly declining. They even sent a brat like this to embarrass himself in Siji City."
