The warm March sun shone on the wintersweet tree in the yard, casting shadowy branches on the ground.

Xiao Junqi committed suicide in the dark prison. She slowly squatted down, a chill rising from her body. A huge figure stood behind her. Gu Youan slowly turned her head, and Xie Daoqing draped a mink coat over her shoulders.

Gu Youan said, "Did you use Sheng Jingche to pressure him?"

Xie Daoqing replied, "It's cold outside, and you're pregnant. Go back."

Gu Youan looked at him coldly and said, "No one but Sheng Jingche could have made him commit suicide. Xie Daoqing, what have you done?"

Tianji said sternly, "I wouldn't scheme against her, Xie Daoqing. If you weren't so ruthless, why would Xiao Junqi commit suicide?"

Xie Daoqing glared at him and said, "Enough, Tianji. There are my men three layers deep here. No one but you will leak the information to her."

Tianji looked at him sarcastically and said, "Don't waste your time here."

Xie Daoqing looked at Tianji and asked, "Why was Jiannan able to save her?"

Tianji said, "Jiannan is her assistant; only Qingyang and Jiannan can heal her injuries."

Xie Daoqing looked troubled. Tianji paused, then looked at Xie Daoqing and asked, "What did you do to Jiannan?"

Xie Daoqing stammered, and Tianji slapped him on the shoulder, saying, "Xie Daoqing, you've gone too far."

He rushed toward the dungeon, but Xie Daoqing stopped him, saying, "I'll bring Jiannan here."

"You tortured him?"

Xie Daoqing nodded, Tianji's anger was palpable. He looked at him silently and said, "They had better be safe and sound, Xie Daoqing."

A blood-covered figure was brought into the courtyard, and the stench of blood filled the air. Tianji rushed over to check on Jiannan.
