Chapter 1082 Silent Corridor

Chapter 1082 Silent Corridor

Broken lamps hung from the corridor ceiling.

The smooth floor reflected the figures of people, and the dust covered everyone's faces, making them blurry.

The leader Tuesday took every step carefully.

The faint and chaotic sound of footsteps filled the dead silent air, the silence being particularly eerie.

Tuesday, gun in hand, stopped in front of a glass office door.

He glanced at the doorplate on the side of the door. The three words "Neurology" were already peeling off.

The glass windows were covered with dust, and the white walls in the room looked old through the dust, like an old house that had not been lived in for decades.

Tuesday slowly and silently approached the glass and looked inside——

“Ahhhhhhhhh!!!”

A broken scream suddenly sounded, and a bluish-white face, emaciated to the point of bonyness, slammed heavily against the glass, and the bluish-white sickly pupils quickly enlarged in Zhou Er's sight.

He quickly took a step back and watched the window being smashed by the zombie's head. Blood splattered everywhere, and howling and banging sounds were heard from all directions.

It was like the real world that was suddenly awakened. Through the door and glass, those monsters that maintained their human form but were no longer human were showing them hideous faces, and saliva was almost flowing out of their pale lips.

Amidst the seemingly endless banging on the door and screaming, a woman's calm and rational voice was heard first.

"Keep going forward. We need to find the pharmacy. The map shows it should be at the end of the corridor."

Tuesday nodded and led the group forward.

They hadn't spoken a word before when the air was eerily quiet, with everyone's face full of vigilance. But now, amidst the noisy and terrifying banging on the door, they seemed to relax and even started to chat.

"What do you think is going on? Why are they all trapped inside the door? Is this man-made?"

"It must have been man-made. And there seems to be only one person locked up in each room... I don't understand. If there's only one person, how did he become a zombie? There's no other zombie to bite him."

Zhou Er turned around and looked at the hideous heads in the windows one by one. With a bad feeling in his heart, he turned around and looked at the man walking at the end, asking,

"Boss?"

The man was lighting a cigarette, clearly having just finished smoking. He looked up at the sound and raised his eyebrows at his subordinate's "quest for answers" gaze.

"It's obvious,"

The man flicked the ash from his cigarette, and the casual movement between his slender fingers seemed particularly charming.

"Someone is raising these things."

All footsteps suddenly stopped.

Even though there were terrible screams and banging doors all around them, their hearts were so fluttering that their breathing stopped because of these words.

The meaning of this statement is so terrifying that one dares not even think about it.

"Raising it...what are you going to do?"

It took Zhou Er a long time to find his voice again, but it became dry and difficult.

"You should ask the breeder about this."

The man took a puff of his cigarette, his elegant eyes glanced at the windows.

"They're locking these things up like animals. Is it to treat their illnesses, or just to fatten them up for use..."

"Could it be the same as our sister Bo Ru and you..."

"impossible,"

The woman interrupted Tuesday's speculation, her voice soft but her attitude firm.

"Our research has never involved the use of test subjects on such a large scale. Furthermore, any researchers with good intentions wouldn't have allowed these zombies to remain imprisoned for so long. We all know that these creatures are like wild beasts. The longer they're hungry, the more lethal they become."
