Chapter 1567 Your Home is His Home
She blinked reflexively, and before her confusion could reveal more, fear and panic seeped out.
The yogurt fell to the ground. She walked into the ward and her first reaction was to rush to the window and look down.
It wasn't until she saw the empty garden at the bottom of the building with lights on that she suddenly woke up and slammed her head.
"What are you thinking about? You're just imagining nonsense! You're sick!"
The girl cursed herself viciously, but her voice couldn't hide the feeling of relief. However, this emotion only lasted for a short time. She immediately jumped up and ran out, calling the nurse and doctor while calling Cheng Yuqing at the same time.
Before finding a doctor, Cheng Yuqing answered the phone first. She spoke in an extremely anxious and even tearful tone.
"Where did Cheng Zhiyuan go? Why is there no one in the ward?"
"Don't worry, don't worry,"
Cheng Yuqing seemed to have anticipated this situation and quickly comforted him.
"The doctor said there was nothing wrong with Zhiyuan's body. All that was left was waiting for him to wake up. So, it was the same in the hospital and at home. He could have been discharged long ago, so I took him home."
Shen Pianxian breathed a sigh of relief and immediately ran into the elevator and pressed the first floor.
"Okay, I'll be right there."
Before she finished speaking, the other side immediately took over and said,
"Where are you coming from? I'm at Cheng's house, but Cheng Zhiyuan isn't here."
Shen Pianxian was stunned.
"What do you mean? If he's not at the Cheng family, where is he?"
Cheng Yuqing seemed to smile, and said with a meaningful sigh,
"Where else can he be? Your home is his home now. I don't even want to come back to this empty shell of a house like Cheng's, so why would he want to?"
"He said that as if he could make the decision himself."
Shen Pianpian muttered softly, hung up the phone, got out of the elevator, and took a taxi straight to Peacock Residence.
She kept thinking about it all the way.
Cheng Yuqing is so unreasonable. How could she leave him alone at home? Even if there is a nurse, it won’t work. If the nurse is not there, I don’t care if she is my aunt or not. I will settle the score with her.
Along the way, I was worried about Cheng Zhiyuan's situation and in the blink of an eye I seemed to have arrived at the Peacock Residence.
She paid and got out of the car and started running.
The night wind blew up the corners of her coat, letting in a lot of cold touch.
Because it was warmer in Los Angeles, Chen Pianpian was wearing a sweatshirt and a jacket when she boarded the plane. Now that she was back in the capital dressed like this, it was obviously courting death.
She had only run a few steps when her delicate face was frozen into a crystal clear state, making her teardrop mole appear even redder.
Shen Pianpian hadn't run like this for a long time. He ran all the way through the night garden and the road to the big iron gate of his home. The first thing he did was not to open the door, but to bend down, support his knees and gasp for breath.
After a few seconds, she stood up and pressed the fingerprint password, and the black iron door slowly opened with a click.
She rushed in hurriedly, used the fingerprint lock to open the inner door, and then rushed upstairs with a crackling noise.
She turned the door handle to her bedroom and pushed it open.
The warm yellow light hit my face. There was an open book on the cabinet beside the bed. The pages were shaking in the light and the paper was a little yellowed.
The room was warm, but still empty.
Shen Pianpian slowly scanned the open pages of the book, the lit floor lamp, and the quilt on the bed that had obviously been lifted up.
Her dark pupils began to shrink and expand uncontrollably, and as if for some unbelievable reason, they began to tremble slightly.
