Chapter 172 Private Mercenaries

Chapter 172 Private Mercenaries

He got no answer.

The girl's silent attitude was full of disdain and ridicule.

Ning Haoyu slowly let go of her and stood up.

The butler came in and bowed to him,

“The resort was broken into, and this winery is all that’s left.”

Ning Haoyu glanced at the girl who froze for a moment after hearing that, then looked out the door indifferently with a cold smile on his face.

"Then open the door and prepare to welcome the young master of the imperial capital."

·

The rain has stopped.

The gathering place was moved outside.

Servants dressed in neat clothes walked back and forth on the wet grass. The crystal round table was covered with a white tablecloth. Plates of exquisite fruits were arranged in various beautiful shapes. Men and women held transparent high-heeled glasses with their noble fingers, clinking them against each other and chatting. The deep red wine swayed in circles, releasing a mellow and intoxicating aroma.

"Haoyu, your winery is really great! It's so boring to stay in a high-rise building. It's so refreshing to come here and appreciate the secluded rural scenery!"

A man in a shirt and a famous watch reached out to clink glasses with Ning Haoyu. He smiled and took a sip, his movements and voice elegant.

"You are always welcome to come. The door of our manor is always open to you."

As he spoke, he turned his head and raised his voice slightly.

"Today I'm about to open a bottle of 1982 Château Lafite Rothschild. It was flown in from Gaborone and buried in our vineyard for a long time. Let's all try it together."

Having said this, he ordered the servant to get some wine amid everyone's cheers.

"Then we're in luck today. Everyone knows that President Ning has always been very stingy with the treasures in his wine cellar. It's rare that he's willing to use his inventory to treat us today."

Everyone followed suit and made fun of it.

It was a scene of joy and happiness among both the host and the guests, but no one noticed that someone walked silently into the hall leading to the lawn.

It wasn't until a lady who was going to the restroom turned around and realized something was wrong that she made a sound.

"What is that?"

Someone turned around to look.

The newcomer had already walked down the hall, heading in their direction.

They were a team of soldiers wearing desert camouflage, moving in an orderly manner but as silently as in the dark night. At first glance, they gave people a sense of danger, as if a knife was pressed against their necks. Just by looking at their eyes, you could tell that they were people who had truly tasted blood and killed people.

Someone took several steps back involuntarily, then immediately came to his senses and shouted angrily,

"Who are these people? Why are they as silent as ghosts? Do you have any manners?"

"I thought there was no need for courtesy here,"

A low and elegant voice like a cello sounded, with a chill as cold as frost.

"What do you think, Mr. Ning?"

At the end of the team, a tall and long-legged man walked over in a simple white shirt and trousers. His style was clearly out of tune with those iron-blooded military uniforms, but it made those cold-blooded men in military uniforms show submission.

The teams parted like Moses parting the sea.

The men in military uniforms all lowered their heads slightly. Cheng Zhiyuan walked out from among them, with a smile on his face, but a strong bloodthirsty look in his eyes.

Half a step behind him was Secretary Liu, who was following silently.

"Cheng Zhiyuan!"

Someone in the crowd immediately cried out in surprise.

"I've heard that Major General Cheng has a secret private army. Turns out it's true!"

"How the hell did I get to see his personal mercenaries in broad daylight!" someone exclaimed privately, "My dad and the others have only heard about them!"

Ning Haoyu listened to the exclamation in his ear, clenched his teeth slightly without leaving any trace, and then walked forward with a smile.

"I've long admired the extraordinary demeanor of the young master of the imperial capital, and today I finally see him in person!"

Cheng Zhiyuan looked at the hand he extended silently, and after a long moment he chuckled softly, his voice low and cold without any emotion.

"Mr. Ning seems a little forgetful. We met not long ago."

"At an auction."

This was the first time the two faced each other, and Cheng Zhiyuan, who had always been indifferent and arrogant, finally looked him in the eye for the first time.

His eyes were filled with undisguised bloodthirstiness like a wild beast in the middle of the night, and the upturned corner of his mouth gave people the illusion that it was covered in blood.
