Chapter 1968 [Shangxie] Isolated Island
The air was quiet for a while, but Xia Fuyi couldn't help herself and said,
"Who is that? Is he here to see you?"
When I asked this question, I felt some strange and unfamiliar emotions in my heart.
It was like biting into an unripe fruit; the slight sourness and bitterness made her feel very uncomfortable, so she lowered her voice in an attempt to appear normal.
But Chang Sun Chi seemed to be really asleep and did not answer her question.
Xia Fuyi waited silently for a while, then hugged the pillar with her head down, feeling timid and lost.
So she didn't see that in the brief moment after she looked away, the man who seemed to be asleep put down his hands that were covering his eyes and looked at her quietly in the night for a long time.
Those clear eyes without any impurities were filled with the rich night and gloomy colors. When he stared at her, there were always some contradictory and complex emotions quietly surging in them.

It's past midnight.
Xia Fuyi, who was sleeping against a pillar, was awakened by a fierce yet suppressed cough.
The moment she heard the sound, she opened her eyes and the sword in her hand was unsheathed half an inch. However, when her eyes were clear, she put away the sword, jumped off the beam with a nervous look on her face and ran to the bed. The man on the bed sat up at some point, and coughs came out from between his slender fingers one after another. It was a cough that he couldn't suppress no matter how hard he tried, as if he was going to cough out all his internal organs.
The man's back bent into a painful arc in the thick darkness. Xia Fuyi stood by the bed, feeling a little helpless for a moment.
The coughing lasted for a long time. When Xia Fuyi finally couldn't help but pat him on the back, Changsun Chi no longer restrained himself.
He loosened his hands and pressed his chest instead, his fingers pressing on the bright red robe with such force that his knuckles turned white, making people wonder if he would just pierce a hole in his chest.
However, even such a painful and clear cough could not cause any disturbance among the palace people in the quiet night.
The entire Zichen Palace was still silent, as if this empty palace was the only thing left in the world.
Until Changsun Chi stopped coughing, the palace servants who were supposed to be keeping watch for the emperor remained silent.
Xia Fuyi squatted down beside the bed, looking at the man's pale face with his eyes slightly closed. Finally, she couldn't help but reach out and tentatively pressed his hand on the edge of the bed, and asked in a low voice,
"You seem to have not taken medicine for a long time. Is it because Lian Tang is not here?"
She continued,
"If you remember the prescription, I can find the herbs for you and bring them to you after boiling them."
Chang Sun Chi pulled one side of his lip and smiled coldly. He turned his head to look at Xia Fuyi and said nonchalantly,
"You can't get out, right? Why are you so confident now?"
Xia Fuyi did not feel embarrassed about being exposed.
She squatted on the ground, slightly raised her head and looked at Changsun Chi, her eyes reflecting a little dim starlight, and said seriously,
"I couldn't go out before because I didn't want to go out. Now I can go out because I want to find medicine for you."
After a pause, she continued,
"I don't like hearing you cough, and I don't like seeing you sick."
Miss Xia still likes to speak directly and has not learned to be tactful at all.
So, although clumsy, this sentence still reflects a certain pure and passionate emotion - although she herself is not aware of it at all.
However, Changsun Chi put aside his cold sarcasm and looked at her as she fell into a long silence.
