Chapter 1998 [Shangxie] Do you want to know my story?
Xia Fuyi followed him closely, watching the man become paler as they walked a few steps apart.
But she didn't dare to reach out to help him. She didn't jump up until he sat down on the couch and then she was ready to close the window.
"Don't turn it off."
Chang Sun Chi said in a hoarse voice,
"I want some fresh air."
Xia Fuyi glanced at the window hesitantly, and finally sat down opposite him obediently.
The table on the couch had just been overturned by her, and now Miss Xia could only grunt and move the table over.
Chang Sun Chi glanced at the books that were scattered all over the place and asked,
"Do you understand?"
Miss Xia's eyes drifted for a moment, and she uttered two words stiffly,
"fine."
There was a barely perceptible smile on Chang Sun Chi's lips, but it quickly faded away.
“You don’t need to look at these.”
"But they say the Queen must see this."
Miss Xia has actually been very distressed these days. She has seldom been exposed to books since she was a child, and she simply cannot understand many things. Asking her to sit still and finish a book is simply a torture. It would be better to ask her to swing the sword ten thousand times.
When she heard the emperor say this, she felt happy at first, so she hesitated a little before speaking.
"If I don't read it, then I'm not qualified to be the queen?"
"My queen doesn't need these qualifications,"
Chang Sun Chi seemed to find her words funny and reached out to touch her hair.
"As long as my queen has my approval, she will have the greatest qualification. No one in this world can object."
Xia Fuyi was finally happy, her eyes lit up, but were quickly suppressed into a serious look.
She looked at Chang Sun Chi and said to him seriously and solemnly,
"Then go tell Mammy, I don't want to see these things anymore."
Chang Sun Chi smiled and nodded.
A breeze blew in from the window, carrying the smell of soil and rain. Changsun Chi shifted his gaze over.
The sky in Shenjing has been a little gray these days, and the clouds are very low.
He suddenly asked,
"Does it always rain at this time of year on Mount Taixu?"
Xia Fuyi thought about it and replied,
"Yes, it seems to rain everywhere at this time of year."
She turned her head to glance at the sky outside the window.
"But even when it rains, the sky at Taixu Mountain is always blue, just like the endless glaciers."
"What do you usually do when it rains?"
Xia Fuyi thought about it carefully,
"When the master was still alive, we would always lie on the tree and drink together. When we got drunk, we would sleep, and when we woke up, we would continue drinking. When it was time to eat, he would always kick me down to cook for us."
"What to eat?"
"There's game in the mountains, and I'm pretty good at hunting."
Some bright light gradually appeared in Xia Fuyi's eyes.
“Sometimes we grow our own vegetables, but mostly we eat meat.”
"What happens after the master leaves?"
Xia Fuyi was stunned for a moment and hesitated.
"It doesn't seem to make much of a difference. After Master left, I spent more time practicing swordplay and less time drinking. Also, after Master left, people would come up the mountain to fight me every day, so I didn't have much time to go hunting."
Chang Sun Chi looked at Xia Fuyi who was lost in thought in front of him. He could almost imagine the cold expression of impatience on the girl's face whom he faced every day.
That was really vivid.
It was like recalling the past Xia Fuyi in front of me, her eyes shining like stars, the wind blowing through her hair, as if every strand was soaked in freedom and pride.
This made him extremely excited... and also extremely guilty.
Chang Sun Chi slowly withdrew his gaze and spoke, interrupting Xia Fuyi's memories.
"Do you want to know my story?"
The man had a faint smile on his face. He looked out the window at a corner of the palace, his eyes filled with nostalgia and indifference.
"Actually, I am still your senior brother."
