Chapter 2303 [Shang Xie] Finale (Part 2)

Chapter 2303 [Shang Xie] Finale (Part 2)

She buried the pottery jar in the bamboo forest behind the tomb.

It took Xia Fuyi a whole day to carve a stone tablet, using up all his energy and care, but the final result was still unsatisfactory.

The two words "Fu Yan" were carved with bumps and crooked shapes.

But there was no way. Miss Xia was not a master of calligraphy, and her calligraphy on paper was not good-looking, let alone on a stone tablet.

Miss Xia looked at the stone tablet for a long time with a serious face, and finally gave up on making any corrections. She moved the big stone and placed it steadily in front of the ashes.

Then she spent another day cleaning the tomb inside and out, which she had not lived in for a long time. On the third day, she finally sat down in front of the tombstone wearing a dusty white dress.

The wind rustled the bamboo forest. The sunset in the early autumn evening was often crimson, and the bamboo leaves, which had not yet fallen, were dyed the color of large maple leaves.

Xia Fuyi dug a shallow pit in front of the cemetery, buried the sweet potatoes she had bought on the way up the mountain, then piled up the firewood she had picked up and lit a fire that was redder than the sunset.

The wind blew the flames. She leaned against the tombstone and looked at the distant mountains and sunset. She planned to clean up the vegetable garden behind tomorrow. The path to fetch water seemed to be covered with weeds, and she would have to clean it up tomorrow.

My mind goes blank here.

Miss Xia couldn't think of anything else she needed to do.

So she stared blankly at the sunset glow in the sky which gradually darkened. The increasingly dark sky fell on her shoulders, and she sat in the wind on the top of the mountain, becoming a sculpture of gradually darker color.

Until the mountains and bamboo forests merged into the night and the burning bonfire exploded with crisp sounds, she blinked, lowered her head, and used a branch to pick out the roasted sweet potatoes one by one.

Thin, white, dusty fingers grabbed the burnt sweet potato, but were too scalded to put it away in a hurry. Xia Fuyi blew on her red fingers, pushed the sweet potato aside, and waited until it cooled down a little before picking it up and breaking it open. The red flesh was exposed to the air, and white steam with a fresh fragrance drifted to her nose.

Xia Fuyi moved her nose, divided half of it and placed it in front of the tombstone, then took the remaining half and slowly ate it.

After she finished eating three sweet potatoes, she burped lightly, placed the remaining sweet potato in front of the tombstone, and patted the tombstone with her hand.

There is no moon tonight.

The clear and distant sound of birds singing came from the deep forest, sounding empty and vast.

Xia Fuyi wiped her mouth with her sleeve, pulled out Long Yuan which was placed aside, and stood in the open space covered with bamboo leaves.

The firelight illuminated the sharp sword that she held in front of her eyes, and on both sides of the blade were her dark and pure eyes.

He slowly stretched out his arm and gently thrust out a sword, stirring up a slight breeze.

Her eyes were fixed on the sharp and cold tip of the sword. She swept her arm horizontally, and a strong wind suddenly arose. The bamboo leaves on the ground were swept into the air. Before they landed on the ground, the white clothes were already flying like snow in the sky full of bamboo leaves.

The sharp sound of the sword cutting through the wind frequently broke the night.

There are countless cities and thousands of lights in the distance.

On the top of a mountain thousands of miles away from the mortal world, accompanied by the mighty mountain wind and the bonfire, the well-fed Xia Fuyi practiced the entire set of sword techniques wholeheartedly.

By the time she put away her sword, the firewood was almost burnt out. In the dimmed firelight, she walked to the tombstone, reached out and touched the cold stone tablet, and said dryly,

"I'm going to bed."

The tombstone stood silently in the night, and of course could not give her any response.

She turned quietly and walked towards the dark tomb. The bamboo leaves were blown by the night wind and the bonfire was burning dimly.

Her figure became increasingly blurred in the firelight, and finally disappeared into the depths of the tomb.
