Chapter 998 You Are So Cruel

Chapter 998 You Are So Cruel

The third awakening did not last too long. She held Cheng Zhiyuan's hand and opened some letters from fans. Halfway through, Shen Pianpian fell asleep again.

Cheng Zhiyuan frowned, covered the girl with the quilt, stroked her slightly wrinkled eyebrows and the hair stuck to her face, and looked up at Huo Chengde beside him.

"When does the old gentleman plan to send Pian Pian back to the imperial capital?"

Huo Chengde glanced at the sleeping girl with concern and said,

"The doctor said her physical function is good enough for her to be discharged and recuperate slowly, but her mental state needs to be monitored at all times, so I haven't decided when to discharge her yet."

"Then why not listen to me?"

The man spoke calmly, and touched the girl's cheek with his fingers from the bedside.

"When she's more lucid, she'll be transferred to the Imperial Capital Hospital. I'll arrange for the best psychotherapist..."

The man glanced at Cheng Yuqing inconspicuously and continued,

"Of course you can come with me then. I will arrange accommodation for you so you can go see Pian Pian anytime."

Huo Chengde pondered for a while, his eyes shifting back and forth between Cheng Zhiyuan and Shen Pianpian with some entanglement. After several glances, he finally nodded.

"As you say."

After the old man slowly walked out, Cheng Yuqing, who had just finished peeling an apple, sneered, took a bite of the apple with a snap, and glanced at her nephew and said,

"What did that look that Master Cheng gave me just now mean? Was he daydreaming?"

"Auntie should know what I mean,"

Cheng Zhiyuan smiled.

"Besides you, I don't have anyone I can trust for now."

"Then wait,"

Cheng Yuqing's attitude didn't look like that of an elder, nor did he look like a serious doctor.

“There will always be one.”

Cheng Zhiyuan nodded slightly, his expression calm.

"From the perspective of ability, I may indeed be able to wait for someone better than you."

Cheng Yuqing's face suddenly darkened, and he almost bit his tongue because of the sudden increase in force when biting the half-bitten apple.

Cheng Zhiyuan pretended not to notice anything and said with an almost gentle expression,

"But from the perspective of trustworthiness, there won't be a better candidate than you, Aunt."

"Are you going to give me a slap and then a sweet treat?"

Cheng Yuqing's expression remained stiff, as if he wanted to get angry but had nowhere to vent. It was not a good look.

"Mr. Cheng, are you using your business tactics on me?"

The man immediately admitted his mistake.

"I'm sorry, auntie."

His profile looked even paler in the dimming sunset, making his expression even more sincere. His deep, raised eyes even appeared vulnerable and pleading for the first time.

"Just treat her as the most critical part of my treatment."

"If she can't get better, then I can't get better either."

"Please, Auntie."

He straightened up, almost bending over her.

Cheng Yuqing was so frightened that he immediately jumped up and pressed his shoulders.

"Do you want the wound on your back to open?"

The woman raised her eyebrows sternly, trying to suppress the excitement and shock she felt at being asked by her nephew for the first time, and said with a fierce face,

"knew,"

She said in a very impatient and vicious voice,

"You're so cruel!"

The man raised the corners of his lips slightly.

"Thank you."

Cheng Yuqing picked up the apple and went out without worrying about it.

It was not until the footsteps, which were step by step pitting, disappeared outside the door that Cheng Zhiyuan slowly breathed a sigh of relief. He turned back and pulled the quilt for Shen Pianpian, then leaned back on the bed, with a cold expression gradually appearing between his brows.
