Chapter 29 Like a magnet, she clung tightly to him.
On a summer night, the coastal boulevard is brightly lit, and the palm trees on both sides cast dappled silhouettes under the lights.
The moonlight was perfect, and the sound of the waves was constant.
The next second, the roar of the engine swept past, completely drowning out the sound of the waves, and the silhouettes of the palm trees rustled in the wind.
Several heavy motorcycles made a turn and drove directly from the coastal highway onto the winding mountain road of Qingfeng Mountain.
In just a few seconds, the car disappeared.
In the first 21 years of her life, Xinmian had never participated in such an exciting activity.
The powerful inertia of the speeding motorcycle lurched her forward violently. Although she had clung to Chi Yu out of fear, she still lost control and crashed directly into his broad back.
She clung to him like a magnet.
The jacket that Chi Yu had prepared for her in advance perfectly blocked the chill brought by the high-speed driving, but even through the helmet, she could feel the wind rushing past her.
The streetlights and trees on the winding mountain road rushed past in their narrow field of vision, and the light and shadow cast by the leaves stretched into a long chain outside their goggles, following them all the way.
Curiosity, excitement, novelty...
A variety of emotions that rarely appeared before the age of 21 came crashing down like a tidal wave, weaving together an airtight sense of novelty that enveloped Xinmian.
She stared intently at the blurry image rushing past, her heart racing and adrenaline surging. The arms that were already wrapped around Chi Yu's waist tightened unconsciously.
Her blood seemed to congeal briefly before surging again, violently shaking her internal organs like a torrent.
Chi Yu was driving the fastest, but as the mountain road wound its way up, his speed gradually slowed down.
Motorcycles sped past one after another, and Xinmian could even hear Liu Haoyuan screaming as he overtook Chi Yu.
The all-black heavy motorcycle came to a stop without warning.
We parked on the side of the road halfway up the mountain.
Xinmian: ? ? ?
It's like the bewildering feeling of having your power cord forcibly pulled out when you're in the most exciting part of a sci-fi movie.
Before she could react, Chi Yu had already gotten out of the car, turned around, grabbed her waist, lifted her up, and then put her down again.
He took off his helmet.
She changed from straddling the motorcycle to sitting sideways.
His tall, slender figure stood in front of her, blocking most of her view.
The thrill of the motorcycle speeding by was still lingering in Xin Mian's heartbeat. Her hair was a mess from being pressed down by the helmet, and her beautiful eyes were staring straight at him.
Puzzling, perplexing, yet so clean and pure that it touches the heart.
But Chi Yu is a bad person.
His Adam's apple bobbed heavily, but he remained outwardly calm. He hooked a strand of her hair with his long fingers and smoothed it, asking in a low voice, "Do you like going for a drive like this?"
Xin Mian didn't understand why he suddenly asked that, but she still obediently followed her heart and nodded, "I like it."
This feeling went against the teachings she had received for the first 21 years of her life, which required her to be obedient and well-behaved, but she did not reject it.
Chi Yu's lips curled slightly as he took a half-step closer to her, his large hand gripping the back of her neck, forcing her to tilt her head back. His dark, sharp eyes were fixed on her.
He gently coaxed, "Do you like it when Chi Yu takes you for a drive like this?"
"happiness..."
Before she could utter the word "joy," Xinmian suddenly snapped back to reality.
Chi Yu is setting a trap for her again!
asshole!
Asking her this kind of question before she can even react is no different from asking her to say she likes him!
"Chi Yu!"
She glared at him fiercely.
"Tsk," the man chuckled lazily, seemingly unconcerned, "I was found out."
"What can we do?"
He leaned down, closing the distance between them. "Xin Xiaomian already said she likes him."
His tone was arrogant, and he even had a smile in his voice.
Xinmian felt an urge to punch him.
But she was very self-aware; in terms of fighting skills, she was nothing more than a little cotton ball in front of him.
Xinmian turned her face away in annoyance, refusing to look at him again.
Chi Yu stopped forcibly pinching the back of her neck, but his dark, deep eyes remained fixed on her, staring into her eyes.
She turned to the left, and he followed suit.
She turned to the right, and he followed suit.
Xin Mian was furious, "Chi Yu!"
"Yes, I'm here."
He responded with a smile, but the smile was somewhat different from the one before.
Cheerful and joyful.
It seems he...really enjoys her calling him that.
"What's wrong?" He leaned down again, making sure she was at eye level with him. "Is Xin Xiaomian angry?"
"Yes!" Xin Mian was furious and snapped at him, "I'm angry!"
"Which bastard made her angry?"
Xin Mian was speechless, her face flushed red, but she was not willing to back down. "Chi Yu, you bastard!"
"Oh?" He smiled leisurely. The large hand that had been holding the back of her neck had slowly moved forward, his broad palm pressed against the throbbing veins on the side of her neck, and his thumb pressed against her chin, stroking it lightly.
With the remaining four fingers, I slipped them into her long hair and gently rubbed it.
"Then he's really not a human being."
Xin Mian felt goosebumps instantly as he rubbed her. She wanted to push his hand away, but then she saw him suddenly turn around and come to her side.
My vision suddenly opened up.
Before her lay a stunningly beautiful landscape photograph that suddenly unfolded before her.
On the other side of the winding mountain road, beyond the guardrail, looking down, is the gentle and pleasant beach of Qingshui Bay. Beside the beach, there is a continuous stretch of brightly lit houses on Wangshui Island.
The bright moon hangs high in the sky, and the sea glistens with light.
In the distance, by the dock, the lighthouse's light flickers eternally, its glow reflecting the starlight and moonlight.
The seawater is gently pushed by the sea breeze and laps against the beach. From the high vantage point halfway up the mountain, the waves that are stirred up on the shore look like a string of pure white pearls, possessing the most rustic beauty of Wangshui Island.
Xin Mian even forgot that she was angry just a second ago, and grabbed Chi Yu's arm, "Chi Yu! This place is so beautiful!"
The girl's voice was clear and sweet, showing no trace of anger.
The streetlights halfway up the mountain road weren't very bright, but Chi Yu's car was parked right under one of them.
Enveloped in a shimmering halo, she was filled with excitement, her eyes crinkling with laughter, and her gaze shimmering with tears.
Two deep dimples appeared on her cheeks.
Chi Yu's hands were itching again.
The burning desire in his deep eyes was undisguised, intense and frantic, revealing a strong sense of aggression and possessiveness.
That's what he thought, and that's what he did.
With a flick of his wrist, his fingertips pressed precisely into her dimple.
They were almost a perfect match; her dimples were just the right size to accommodate his fingers.
The girl's skin was smoother and more delicate than he had imagined, so delicate that it seemed as if he could leave a mark with the slightest pressure.
Xin Mian froze, rooted to the spot.
That feeling of panic and confusion surged back into her heart, and she instinctively called out to him, "...Chi Yu..."
"Yes, I'm here."
He stood beside her, side by side, his tall frame gradually leaning towards her until he completely blocked the suddenly intensified cold wind from upwind.
His body, his coat, formed one barrier after another for her.
For some reason, Xinmian's ears turned red again.
Under the streetlights, a layer of fine downy hairs was clearly visible on the tips of the ears.
She sat on the motorcycle with her legs dangling in the air, trapped with no way to escape.
I could only change the subject, "...How did you find this viewpoint?"
"I discovered it by chance when I drove here for a drive one night."
The height halfway up the mountain is just right. The stones on the outside of the railing suppress the wild growth of the branches and trees, creating a large space and providing this excellent vantage point for viewing the scenery.
"Oh..." Xinmian replied dryly, still not daring to move.
Chi Yu smiled, as if he had finally had a change of heart and let go of her hand.
Xin Mian felt as if she had been granted a great honor. Sitting on the motorcycle, she breathed a heavy sigh of relief, her mind racing.
"Um...should we go now?"
Qin Shengtian and the others have probably already reached the finish line. The longer they linger here, the more likely they are to misunderstand.
Chi Yu continued to look at her, "If you like it, we can come again next time."
Xin Mian was startled and instinctively waved her hand, "...No need."
Deep down, I was silently thinking, "Next time I'll come with someone else, not with you."
However, the next second, the man spoke coldly, "I advise you to nip that idea in the bud as soon as possible."
"You can only come with me."
Xinmian stared at him in disbelief, no longer caring what he was saying.
Her eyes were filled with shock at how he had figured out what she was thinking.
Sometimes I really want to ask him how he knew all that.
But she held back and didn't ask.
Chi Yu took the pink helmet hanging on the front of the car and put it on her, then carefully checked whether the zipper of her jacket was zipped up.
With everything prepared, he straddled the car and suddenly asked, "Do you want to get first place?"
"...What?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Xin Mian realized what he meant.
She hid her head inside her helmet and muttered softly, "If there's a first place, of course I'd still want to win."
However, they were just out for a drive. Do we have to rank first and second just for a drive?
"Okay," he replied casually, without saying anything more. He revved the engine, and the motorcycle shot off like an arrow once again.
The sea breeze, carrying the coolness of the mountains, swept in again, leaving afterimages of the surrounding trees, but Xinmian felt no cold at all.
The man's tall figure stood in front of her, his straight and broad back like a wall, giving her an endless sense of security.
The place where they stopped halfway was not far from the top of the mountain. In just a few minutes, the black heavy motorcycle sped along, made a stylish drift on the winding mountain road, and came to a steady stop in front of Qin Shengtian and the others.
"Mianmian!" As soon as Qin Shengtian saw Xinmian, she was about to jump over when Yang Chengjing grabbed her by the back of the neck.
She turned her head and glared at him. "What are you doing?"
Yang Chengjing raised his chin, gesturing for her to look, "Brother Yu hasn't even taken off his helmet."
It means they're about to go down.
As expected.
Chi Yu propped one long leg on the ground, pushed up his goggles, and lazily tilted his head. "Shall we have a contest?"
His tone was arrogant and overbearing.
Liu Haoyuan put his arm around Lin Jiachi's shoulder and pretended to cry, "Brother Yu, why do you like to torture us so much!"
Lin Jiachi laughed and pushed him away, "Only you."
Yang Chengjing did not answer, but patted the back seat, signaling Qin Shengtian to get in the car.
A few seconds later, a roar sounded, and the all-black heavy motorcycle was the first to rush out of the first corner.
The wind whistled past, and Chi Yu left the other cars behind.
As they approached the entrance at the foot of the mountain, the man deliberately slowed down.
The wind subsided, and everything around became clearly audible.
Xin Mian heard him ask, "Xin Xiaomian, is there a reward for winning?"
