Orange Fireworks (Complete - Part 2)
The online discussion in China has already exploded, but the person in question is already on a private plane flying to Australia.
The burgundy bow tie used for gift wrapping was ripped off and thrown aside, and the white suit, stained with foundation and light lipstick, was left on the floor. Lu Chenyang, panting heavily, held Yu Sheng in his arms, the soft bed a mess of pleasure.
Exhausted from the ordeal, Yu Sheng raised her hand and slapped Lu Chenyang on the back of the head. "Let go, are you trying to strangle me?"
After waiting for a long time, the arms wrapped around his chest didn't loosen their grip at all. Just as Yu Sheng was about to lose his temper, he heard a suppressed sob in his ear. It was a soft, whimpering sound, like a pitiful little dog.
"Holy crap?" Yu Sheng turned around in disbelief. "I made you cry?"
Lu Chenyang buried his head in Yu Sheng's neck, trying not to let him see his tears. "No, I didn't cry."
Yu Sheng was completely bewildered by his actions, so she raised her hand and patted Lu Chenyang on the back of the head again, saying, "Lift your head up."
Yu Sheng used a commanding tone, and Lu Chenyang could only reluctantly raise his head while sniffing.
"Huh—!" Yu Sheng laughed out loud, quite surprised by this. "Oh my, our Officer Lu is shedding tears!"
Lu Chenyang ignored his teasing, staring at him with red eyes, as if he had a thousand words to say but couldn't express them.
Seeing that Lu Chenyang was serious, Yu Sheng stopped smiling. She raised her hand to wipe away his tears, her tone unusually serious and gentle, "Happy?"
Lu Chenyang nodded.
"Because of what I said at the awards ceremony?"
Lu Chenyang nodded.
"Does it feel like you can finally stand openly by my side, as my lover, not just a business partner?"
Lu Chenyang nodded again.
Yu Sheng smiled faintly and sighed, taking the ring, still warm from Lu Chenyang's neck, and solemnly and gently slipping it onto his left ring finger.
"You can't take it off anymore, remember?" Yu Sheng held that hand and kissed it reverently.
Lu Chenyang nodded vigorously twice, and tears finally streamed down his face uncontrollably.
"Okay, okay." Yu Sheng quickly hugged him and comforted him, "When did my Officer Lu become so prone to crying? He was just like a wolf cub that hadn't eaten for eight hundred years."
Lu Chenyang sniffed, then suddenly stood up. He placed his hands on either side of Yu Sheng's head and forcefully kissed her lips.
After a long pause, Lu Chenyang's eyes burned with anger as he said, "I'm still hungry, I haven't eaten enough."
...
After staying at the hotel for one night, Yu Sheng, whose back and legs were sore and weak, was given a bath by Lu Chenyang, who lifted her up like a little chick in the bathtub.
Yu Sheng hummed and whimpered with her eyes closed, still gossiping with Lu Chenyang, "Tell me, what does He Wei's brother look like? Why has our little Wei Wei remembered him for so many years?"
While piling foam into his hair, Lu Chenyang struck up a conversation with him, "I don't think Brother Hewei is the kind of person who would develop feelings for someone just because of their face. Just like how I feel about you."
"Hmph." Yu Sheng rolled her eyes arrogantly.
"And what about you?" Lu Chenyang asked, "Did you like me at first because of my face?"
“No,” Yu Sheng said frankly, then delivered a blow to Lu Chenyang’s face after he smiled happily, “because of your voice.”
Lu Chenyang paused for a moment, then continued. "The sound? Is there anything special about it?"
There was no longer any barrier between them, and there shouldn't be any secrets between them. Yu Sheng didn't mind being direct, "Do you remember that video from the comic convention that made you famous?"
"Um."
“I also noticed you because of that video. Your phrase ‘dangerous contact’ was very helpful to me. At that time, my condition was still very unstable, and when I couldn’t sleep, I would take it out and watch it, playing your voice on repeat, and I could sleep well.”
At this point, Yu Sheng looked up and glared at him, annoyed, and said indignantly, "Back then, you wouldn't even accept an interview. The only video I could find online was that one with sound, and I listened to it over and over again for a long time. I couldn't find anything new."
Lu Chenyang chuckled softly, then gently kissed Yu Sheng's forehead with a mixture of tenderness and joy. "From now on, I'll tell you whatever you want to hear. Personalized service."
The wedding was held at dusk. Yu Sheng finally met the person He Wei had waited ten years for.
The man was dressed in a dark patterned black suit, very tall, with strong features. His demeanor was exactly the same as Lu Chenyang's: upright, resolute, and gentlemanly. He leaned on a lacquered wooden cane with his left hand, suggesting that his legs weren't very strong. He occasionally needed He Wei's support as he walked.
Yu Sheng smiled and went over to greet him; he had never seen such a smile on He Wei's face before. The two exchanged pleasantries and smiled at each other. They were both happy for each other's happiness.
The wedding didn't end too late, and Yu Sheng clearly didn't want to go back to the hotel so soon; his back was still hurting. So he decided to go for a walk on the beach.
"Lu Chenyang." Yu Sheng tossed an orange she'd taken from the wedding into her hand, looked up at the sky, and said, "The stars are so bright tonight."
"Mm," Lu Chenyang responded, but his gaze remained fixed on Yu Sheng's face. "Just as dazzling as you."
Yu Sheng chuckled, "When did my Officer Lu become so good at sweet talk?"
"After meeting you and falling in love with you," Lu Chenyang answered without hesitation.
"Ugh, ugh, ugh~~" Yu Sheng stuck out her tongue and pretended to vomit, then threw the orange in her hand to Lu Chenyang: "Greasy man. Eat an orange to get rid of the grease."
They walked along the beach, and in the end, all the oranges ended up in Yu Sheng's stomach.
"I want to see fireworks," Yu Sheng suddenly said.
Fireworks are banned in the city, so He Wei's wedding only featured hot air balloons.
“I have fireworks,” Lu Chenyang said.
"Huh? Where did you steal it from? How come I didn't know?"
Lu Chenyang smiled without saying a word, holding the orange peel that Yu Sheng had left over in one hand, and taking out a lighter from his pocket with the other.
The night was dark, and the lighter's flame was the only point of light. Lu Chenyang folded the orange peel in half, held it in front of the flame, and pressed hard with two fingers. The moment the peel split open, countless golden sparks burst forth, appearing before Yu Sheng's eyes.
Like the most special fireworks blooming in the night sky, delicate and brilliant, accompanied by the unique fragrance of oranges, the sparks dance and flicker in the darkness.
Each squeeze and flip of Lu Chenyang's fingers could stir up another shower of golden fireworks. Under the warm light of the flames, the orange fireworks were exceptionally beautiful and healing, transforming the little joys of life into this moment of brilliance.
"Do you like it?" Lu Chenyang looked into Yu Sheng's starry eyes. "This is a firework that belongs only to Yu Sheng."
"Lu Chenyang." Yu Sheng didn't answer his question, but turned to look at him seriously and said, "Let's get married."
Lu Chenyang: "Okay."
