"Ah Wan, speed up! That ship is catching up again!"
Ever since he heard that the people on the ship behind them were from Japan, Boss Fu had been keeping a close eye on the movements in the distance.
Upon seeing the ship's movement, he immediately shouted out.
Upon hearing this, Fu Wan turned the engine up to maximum speed, and the fishing boat immediately sped up, but the boat behind also visibly accelerated to catch up.
Seeing that the ship was about to catch up, Fu Wan handed the helm to Boss Fu without hesitation.
Being experienced is not an exaggeration. Normally, Boss Fu's boat-driving skills are quite steady, but when it comes to special situations like this, he drives the boat even wilder than Fu Wan.
Not only was he adept at maneuvering, but when the ship was about to catch up, Boss Fu even steered the boat through a narrow trench.
If he remembered correctly, there were many hidden reefs nearby, and if the rudder was not handled well, the fishing boat was very likely to run aground.
Sure enough, he skillfully maneuvered the boat out, and the fishing boat following behind got stuck between the two reefs and couldn't move.
"Father, you truly are amazing!"
Fu Wan's tense expression instantly gave way to a relieved smile. She had already planned to abandon ship and run away with her belongings along with Boss Fu.
Upon hearing this, Boss Fu raised his eyebrows. He had just noticed at a glance that the other boat was a bit wider than his own, and he was betting that the boatman was a novice and a simpleton.
As he expected, Fu Wan was standing on the deck and could even see several people standing at the stern, jumping up and down in anger.
Serves them right, they had nothing better to do than chase after their own boat!
Given the nature of islanders, they might just pull some kind of trick again.
"Ah Wan, we should go pick up Ah Ming and Ah Liang."
Fu Wan responded, but her eyes were still unconsciously fixed on the sea. The waves were rolling in the distance, and she felt that something was wrong.
Just then, a wave crashed, and she could see clearly that there were actually schools of fish in it!
Although it was impossible to tell what kind of fish it was, there were occasional glints of silver light hidden in the waves.
Just as Fu Wan was wondering whether to chase after the school of fish, several waves surged up, and several black dorsal fins appeared on the surface of the sea.
It's a pod of killer whales hunting!
No wonder there were schools of fish at midday.
"Ah Wan, are there schools of fish over there? Shall we go after them?"
Fu Laoda raised his voice and asked, but Fu Wan shook her head. Worried that he couldn't see, she hurriedly added, "Dad, don't go over there, the orca pod is over there."
The leader of the orca pod didn't spot them, but he did see the fishing boat that had been stuck in the reef break free. However, it didn't come towards them; instead, the school of fish swam over.
At this point, apart from schools of fish, no killer whales could be seen on the surface of the sea, presumably because they had dived back into the ocean.
"Fuck!"
"Baka!"
Even though Fu Wan was quite a distance from the ship, she could still hear the cursing carried by the sea breeze.
What made those people so vulnerable? Fu Wan looked into the distance again, and when she saw what was happening in the distance, she couldn't help but laugh.
For some reason, the fishing boat pulled out some nets and chased after the school of fish.
They probably figured they were already there, so they might as well try to save face by selling fish online.
But who would have thought those fish were swordfish!
Yes, they are all swordfish born with cold weapons on their heads.
The swordfish were already restless, and as soon as the boat approached, before the fishing nets were even cast, they all attacked the hull with all their might.
That incredibly sharp fish sword could pierce a large hole with a single thrust.
The people on the boat were so anxious that they started yelling and screaming again.
However, Fu Wan noticed something amiss: there were several mischievous killer whales hiding in the seabed!
The reason these swordfish appeared on the surface of the sea and were so aggressive is probably the result of a chase by a pod of killer whales.
The swordfish, having been chased by the killer whale, had no choice but to vent its anger on the fishing boat.
After being attacked by several swordfish, the fishing boat remembered to speed up and escape. It was going even faster than when it was chasing Fu Wan, and within minutes it disappeared into a small black dot.
"Father, the boat has sailed away."
Fu Wan hadn't expected the ship to go so fast, but Boss Fu was a little annoyed when he heard this, "If those people really are looking for the Imperial Seal, then it would be better to leave them at sea."
The sea is so vast that leaving a few people behind is like a joke.
But now there are only two of them, and it's not good to fight against so many people on that ship head-on. However, the ship was severely damaged by the swordfish, and whether the people on board can return to shore unharmed is another matter.
"Ah Wan, you steer the boat, I'll operate the net-lifting machine."
It's been several hours since the trawl started, and with the boat sailing like this, I don't know if the trawl net has broken.
Fu Wan responded and switched places with Boss Fu. She then steered the boat towards Fu Ming and Fu Liang, unsure if they had arrived on the island yet, as it had been almost an hour since their agreed-upon time.
Boss Fu wound the rope of the net-lifting machine around the gear. It's not that one person can't lift the trawl net, it's just that it's more tiring than when several people lift the trawl net.
After struggling for more than half an hour, the net-lifting machine finally started working steadily. After a burst of noisy machine noise, a huge net ball was raised onto the deck.
Seeing the way the tennis ball was being dragged, Boss Fu finally felt relieved.
The outside of the trawl net was badly scratched. Fortunately, after the trawl net broke, Ye Xiaocui modified the remaining trawl nets, and her own trawl nets had an extra layer compared to the outside ones.
There wasn't even time to untie the ropes from the trawling net, so Fu Wan steered the boat toward Coconut Island.
She searched the sea but couldn't find Fu Ming and Fu Liang. However, a few wisps of smoke suddenly rose from the nearby coconut island.
It's clear that someone is lighting a fire on Coconut Island; it can't be anyone but Fu Ming and Fu Liang.
Sure enough, before the boat had even come to a complete stop, Fu Ming and Fu Liang were already holding up sticks with fish spears and waving frantically at Boss Fu and Fu Wan.
Seeing the two of them looking so silly, even Boss Fu shook his head speechlessly.
Fools sometimes have good luck. Just now, I was in a life-or-death situation at sea, and these two were still foolishly hiding here eating grilled fish.
"Dad, you've finally arrived! The fish is all cooked!"
"Brother, hurry up and get on the boat. We still need to sort through the seafood in the trawl net. We have to get back quickly."
Upon hearing this, Fu Ming and Fu Liang quickly retrieved their nets from the nearby trench.
"Wow, you guys have had a pretty good haul!"
Upon hearing Fu Wan's words, Fu Ming couldn't hide his smugness and began to boast about his achievements.
"We searched for ages in the sea but didn't see any lobsters, but guess what? Lots of mantis shrimp!"
Although they didn't see any lobsters or abalone, there were plenty of scallops and mantis shrimp, especially scallops, which the two of them filled two large bags with.
They also caught several single-nosed fish and shoe sole fish. They didn't have matches, but that didn't matter. They just used stones to create sparks and set off the pile of dry leaves they had collected.
After extinguishing the fire, the group divided the fish, ate it, and immediately boarded the boat. The ropes on the nets were also untied, and the catch immediately spilled onto the deck.
"My God, where did all these money spots come from?!"
"Watch out, there are swordfish! Good heavens, there are several swordfish!"
