Chapter 204 Shredded Radish and Pig Ears

When Fu Wan agreed to the order, Fu San was happy, but then he became a little worried.

"Ah Wan, if it's beyond your capabilities, then forget it. I can handle it."

Fu Wan shook her head and smiled at Fu San, saying, "Third Uncle, don't worry. I know my own abilities. Just stay home and wait for my good news!"

These words made Fu San's blood boil, and he immediately nodded in agreement.

"Okay, then I'll wait at home for your good news. If you really catch a moonfish, I won't take a single penny of your commission!"

After saying that, he stopped being polite with Boss Fu and the others, said goodbye, and turned to leave.

He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he would get beaten up by Boss Fu!

"Ah Wan, when are you planning to go?"

Boss Fu knew his daughter's abilities and also knew he couldn't stop Fu Wan from going to sea.

Just ask about the departure time; he'll definitely be there with you.

"It's better to catch fish in the sea at night, so let's do it tonight!"

Fortunately, she can take a nap this afternoon and get enough rest before going!

Boss Fu nodded in agreement, "Then I'll go with you!"

"I want to go too!"

Fu Mingzhi, who was standing next to him, kept shouting.

"What are you going to do? Stay home and keep an eye on things on the homestead!"

Ye Xiaocui glared at Fu Ming. Ye Lin originally wanted to go too, but unfortunately he received a call from Qingshan Village in the morning, and Ye Jianguo asked him to go back in the afternoon.

He wasn't told what the specific matter was, but was told to try his best to go back.

"How about I go with you?"

Bai Qianzhou finally found a chance to speak. He had a two-day holiday, one day had passed, and there was still one day left.

Before Fu Wan could speak, Boss Fu objected.

"Dr. Bai, you should stay at home. We don't have a fixed time to come back from the sea. It wouldn't be good if it delayed your return."

No matter how reasonable this argument was, Bai Qianzhou couldn't find a reason to refute it.

Old Master Fu was smug. Why were these people so annoying? They even followed him and his daughter when they went out to sea. Luckily, he had a way of getting rid of them one by one.

However, Ye Xiaocui was a little worried that only Boss Fu and Fu Wan would go out to sea. Just then, Fu Liang came in carrying a bunch of bamboo, and Ye Xiaocui immediately had a choice.

“Let A-Liang go with you. He’s a reliable guy, and I trust him.”

Unable to dissuade his wife, Boss Fu had no choice but to agree.

So, Fu Wan and Boss Fu were chosen for this voyage, and the final choice fell to the unassuming Fu Liang.

This made Fu Ming extremely jealous, so he immediately took Fu Liang outside for a brotherly chat.

Of course, this was just playful banter, and Fu Ming repeatedly reminded Fu Liang to keep an eye on his father and sister, leaving Fu Liang speechless.

This is as if she's not his sister, but even though she's not his father, she's still more than a father to him!

And so, around 4 p.m., Ye Xiaocui and Fu Ming prepared dinner. After the family had dinner, Fu Liang, Fu Wan, and Fu Laoda set off with their tools for working at sea.

"You little rascals, you've been going out to sea quite often these past few days!"

Along the way, there were many villagers who greeted them, and they couldn't help but be curious when they saw that Fu Laoda's family was about to go out to sea.

Working at sea is generally very hard work. Unless they are in dire need of money, they will go out to work for a few days, come back to rest for a few days, and then go out again.

It's obvious that Master Fu is not short of money now. Everyone is still talking about the grand occasion of Master Fu's return from the sea at the dock last night. Why is he going out to sea again now?

Upon hearing this, Boss Fu smiled and said, "I just can't stay idle at home. I've gotten a few more fishing rods and I'm thinking of going out to sea to try my luck!"

The matter of moonfish was definitely something that couldn't be discussed, as talking about fishing at sea would inevitably make everyone uncomfortable. But when they heard about fishing, the villagers nearby all laughed.

Fishing is like smoking; once you're hooked, it's hard to quit. You just want to go out and cast your line every few days.

After finally managing to deal with the villagers who greeted them all the way, not to mention Boss Fu, even Fu Wan felt like her face was about to freeze from smiling.

Everyone was so enthusiastic!

In particular, several of the aunties not only looked at Fu Liang with intense eyes, but also at Fu Wan with equally fervent gazes.

The first thing they say is, "My aunt will introduce you to someone."

"Ah Wan and Ah Liang, go to the deck and get some fishing bait. I'll go steer the boat."

Boss Fu gave an order, then shouted to Fu Ming and Bai Qianzhou on the dock:

"Alright, you guys should go back now!"

Fu Ming watched the departing ship with lingering reluctance. His body was still on the dock, but his soul had long since followed the ship away.

If it weren't for the fact that the bricks for building the house were arriving these past few days and someone at home needed to watch over them, he would definitely have gone out to sea with them.

The group watched as the ship, flying a red flag, sailed further and further away amidst the roar of its diesel engines, until it became an indistinct dot on the horizon.

Fu Ming held Fu Ling's hand, while Bai Qianzhou led Qin Mingzhu, and the group walked home together.

"Uncle, I'm hungry again! The village shop just got some shredded radish, I want to go buy some!"

The child was at the age where he was craving something delicious. Fu Ming had never heard of shredded radish before, and thought to himself, "If it has radish in it, what else is there to eat?"

But he couldn't resist his niece's coaxing, so he could only say with a smile, "Buy, buy, buy!"

So the group changed their route and went to the small shop run by the village chief's daughter-in-law. Fu Ling walked in with practiced ease and then rushed to the shelf to grab two small packages.

"This is shredded radish?"

Fu Ming stared at the small package, which was no bigger than half his palm, with the words "Fig Strips" written on it.

Fu Ling innocently replied, "Yes, this is shredded radish."

She swallowed hard, then said, "It's sweet and sour, so delicious!"

Seeing the girl's greedy look, Fu Ming decided to buy it, regardless of whether it was shredded radish or shredded fig!

Fu Ming still had a huge sum of one yuan on him, and a bag of dried fig shreds was only two cents. Bai Qianzhou saw a small snack next to him that looked pretty good, so he simply took out his money and bought a big bag of it.

"Wow, Uncle Xiaobai, you actually bought a whole bag of pig ears!"

Pig ears?

Bai Qianzhou looked at the thing, which had brown and yellow rings. Although he didn't know what it was made of, it definitely had nothing to do with pig ears, although its size and shape were comparable to pig ears.

Fu Ling suddenly found the two lonely packets of shredded radish in her uncle's hand less appealing, and stared at the pig's ear in Bai Qianzhou's hand with bright eyes.

Fu Ming wasn't blind; he could easily see the change in his niece's eyes. He angrily grabbed a large, unopened bag of dried fig strips from the side. "It's just money, who doesn't have that?"

"Wow, Uncle, you bought so much too! That's amazing!"

Fu Ming was completely bewildered again, while the village chief's daughter-in-law sat by the cabinet, watching the commotion with amusement.

How could I not be happy? Everyone else buys small packets or pieces at a time, but these two are buying big bags and big bags of them. Hey, isn't this making her money?
