Chapter 175 Raided the Blue Crab's Nest

Night fell quickly, and the heavy rain stopped just as soon as it started, leaving only a slight dampness in the wind.

Seeing that it was almost time, Fu Wan pulled Ye Xiaocui and Ye Linfu towards the beach, while Fu Liang and Fu Ming carried buckets and nets.

Jiang Chunlan used to think that she wasn't good at sea transport and could only dig up clams every time she went beachcombing, so she wasn't very enthusiastic about it.

After going out to sea with Fu Liang and the others a few times, he became more confident. He grabbed his buckets and tools, locked the door, and went out with them.

The rain stopped very early today. Before leaving home, Fu Wan checked the clock at home, and it was only 7 p.m.

Everyone is still awake at this hour; tonight is likely to be a tough battle.

Sure enough, once we reached the seaside, we encountered many villagers carrying buckets and baskets along the way. Everyone greeted us with smiles, but each of them walked faster than the last.

Beachcombing is all about speed and sharp eyes; those who lag behind get nothing.

Once on the beach, the Fu family, as usual, each carried their own buckets and went their separate ways. Ye Lin, who had never been to the beach, followed behind Fu Ming.

Fu Wan carried her things and headed towards the trench she had been in before. But after only a few steps, she saw people there, namely Qian Xiaohua and Wang Chunlian, whom she had just argued with that morning.

How did those two end up together?

What bad luck!

Fu Wan regretted her little trench for a few seconds, but didn't waste any more time. She picked up her bucket and walked towards the deserted rocky outcrops.

On the way, they ran into Wang Xiuer and Fu Qing. Fu Qing mysteriously showed her what was in his bucket. Fu Wan looked over curiously and saw that it was a hermit crab about half the size of a fist.

This is a great thing; it tastes good and is fun to play with.

Hermit crabs are shaped like shrimp or crabs, and most of them live in snail shells. They are also long in size. Because they mainly eat plankton or the carcasses of fish and shrimp, they are also known as "ocean cleaners".

For fishermen, hermit crabs are rare and not worth much. Some children like to keep them as pets, while those without children take them home to fry or steam, since they at least have some meat to them.

The hermit crab that Fu Qing caught had a very white shell and looked very beautiful.

After saying goodbye to Fu Qing and Wang Xiuer, Fu Wan walked further away and unexpectedly ran into Wang Zhaodi, whom she hadn't seen in a long time. However, when she saw Fu Wan, Wang Zhaodi looked like she had seen a ghost and turned her head to continue digging for clams.

Fu Wan pretended not to see it and walked for several more minutes before reaching a rocky area. There were many rocks of all sizes here, which looked like a group of black animals curled up on the ground and sleeping in the dark.

Villagers generally don't come here because there are too many rocks and it's difficult to walk on them; it's easy to slip and fall if you're not careful.

There wasn't much water here before because of the hot weather, but now that there's been a heavy rain, many of the reefs have been submerged by the sea.

With so many reefs, it's a perfect hiding place for blue crabs.

Because she was afraid of attracting attention, and since she could see with her own eyes, Fu Wan didn't even use a flashlight. She simply put on gloves, grabbed pliers, and started searching.

As soon as she approached the nearby reef, she saw a crab strutting around with its large pincers raised.

There were no people and so many rocks here, and the blue crabs liked to come out at night, so she ran into them.

Fu Wan directly used her long fire tongs to grab the blue crab, but the crab was very agile and would hide in the rocks whenever Fu Wan touched it, leaving Fu Wan with no way to catch it.

The only option is to move the stone!

Just as Fu Wan was about to start, she heard someone walking over from the side.

She turned her head and saw that it was Fu Ming and Ye Lin.

"Brother, come here!"

If the labor is delivered to her door, wouldn't it be foolish for her to carry it herself?

Fu Ming and Fu Liang were still on the beach looking for any octopuses that had washed ashore when a woman's voice suddenly came from the darkness beside them, nearly scaring them out of their wits.

"Oh my god, Wan, you scared me to death!"

Fu Ming shone his flashlight over and discovered Fu Wan squatting by the rocks.

Fu Wan had no time to waste with him and told him and Fu Ming to hurry up and move the stones.

Putting everything else aside, Fu Ming and Ye Lin are both incredibly strong.

The two of them moved the reef in one go. Fu Wan was quick-witted and threw away the fire tongs. She grabbed the big blue crab's two large claws with both hands, making it unable to move.

"What a huge crab!"

It looks like it weighs at least two pounds.

Ye Lin was amazed. Suddenly, he felt that following Awan was more interesting. Why was that?

He glanced at Fu Ming with disdain, led him for ten minutes, and they only managed to pick up a few snails.

"Brother, Brother Lin, there's one here too!"

Fu Wan has a sharp eye; after throwing the blue crab into the bucket, she immediately spotted another one and hurriedly called for Fu Ming and Ye Lin to help.

After working together several times, the three became more and more in sync, and in no time they had searched through all the small reefs in the reef area.

Before they knew it, the three of them had filled their buckets to the brim.

"Good heavens, we've raided the blue crab's entire lair!"

Fu Ming and Ye Lin were so used to moving rocks that they felt like they were just following Fu Wan's orders, moving whichever one she told them to move, and they didn't even notice how many blue crabs they had caught.

Fu Wan was also completely absorbed in the task, and only when she heard Fu Ming's exclamation did she realize that all three of their buckets were full.

There must be at least 100 pounds of mud crabs in here.

Just as the three were about to share their thoughts, a "snap" sound suddenly came from the trench beneath Fu Wan's feet.

"There's a fish!"

That's the sound of a fish's tail splashing in the water!

The fatigue of Fu Wan and the others vanished instantly. Fu Ming even grabbed a flashlight and started searching. Fu Wan stared wide-eyed at the trench below her feet.

The rocks in the reef area are one after another, and there is a lot of seawater in the crevices between the rocks, which eventually formed a trench.

These trenches were irregular and had no specific shape. Fu Wan and Fu Mingye searched for a long time, and Fu Wan even took her small hand net and waded through the trenches. After working hard for a long time, they still couldn't find any trace of the fish.

"Did we hear that right?"

Fu Ming was somewhat skeptical, but Fu Wan shook her head, saying that it was absolutely impossible; the sound just now clearly indicated the presence of fish.

Just then, a commotion came from the trench not far away. Fu Wan turned her head and immediately locked onto the location of the trench.

I ran over to take a look, and wow, there was a fish swimming around in the trench, having a great time!

"Ah Wan, it's a grouper!"

Fu Ming was incredibly excited. Just now, the fish wobbled past, and the visibility in the trench was still good. When he shone his flashlight over, he saw the bright spots on the fish's body.

Those aren't fish spots, they're clearly money spots!

Fu Wan didn't respond to him. She took the net and went around to the front of the fish. Fu Ming wasn't stupid either. He quickly took another net and went around to the back of the fish.
