Fu Ming watched as Fu Wan started fishing again, while he waited for almost half an hour without any luck.
Ye Lin, seeing that he didn't make a move at all, couldn't help but feel impatient.
"Amin, are you sure you can handle this? It's been half an hour and you still haven't caught any fish."
I lifted the fishing rod several times, but the hook was empty: the fish had eaten all the bait, but they didn't bite.
Fu Ming was feeling down right now; he was really envious of Fu Wan's big fish.
Both fishing rods were cast out, and after another half hour, Fu Wan caught some fish, all of them sea bass weighing less than a pound each.
After setting the mackerel down, Boss Fu stood on the deck watching Fu Wan fish. Seeing that she was gradually losing interest, he simply told her to go and rest for a while, and he would watch over the fishing rod himself.
Fu Wan didn't refuse, mainly because she had already satisfied her craving.
Seeing that Fu Wan had given the fishing rod to her father, Fu Ming's patience was gradually wearing thin.
More than ten minutes passed, and still no big fish took the bait. Fu Ming was tired, so he simply put away his fishing rod.
It was already past three o'clock. Boss Fu glanced at the time and told Fu Liang to prepare to set sail.
We'll cast the fishing nets out here, and after another half hour's drive, we'll head to the dock.
Having been out for a day and a night, Fu San must be getting impatient waiting at the dock.
Fu Wan, Ye Xiaocui, and Jiang Chunlan threw their fishing nets into the sea. They were about to head back when Fu Wan wanted to go back into the sea to catch some more small green dragons, but Ye Xiaocui grabbed her arm.
"We've had a great haul at sea today, so we don't need to go back down. We won't miss out on those little green dragons."
It was pitch black that night, and Fu Wan went into the sea like that. If anything happened to her, her whole family would regret it.
Fu Wan didn't expect her mother to be worried about this. She didn't know how to tell Ye Xiaocui that she missed going to sea if she didn't go for a few days.
In order not to worry Ye Xiaocui, she had no choice but to agree to Ye Xiaocui's request.
Fu Laoda drove the boat around in circles again, and when he saw that it was almost time, he called out to Fu Wan to pull up the fishing net.
Fu Wan responded and ran with Ye Xiaocui to start the net machine.
For some reason, the mesh-raising machine was making a much louder creaking sound than usual this time.
Fu Wan was still wondering if the pulleys of the net-setting machine were rusted and not slippery, and she thought about getting some oil to lubricate them later.
"There might be a big fish here; this net-hauling machine is having a hard time pulling it up!"
Ye Xiaocui had a smile on her face, and even Fu Liang, Ye Lin and the others on the boat behind her were watching their net-casting situation first.
The net bag that came up this time was indeed unusually full, but when Fu Wan went up and untied the rope, everyone was dumbfounded.
There were not only fish and shrimp on the deck, but there was also a big one, but something looked off!
What is this?
"This isn't seafood!"
Jiang Chunlan looked at the things on the deck and asked with a frown.
Ye Xiaocui was also full of doubt, "Why are you throwing things into the sea?"
Fu Wan used the net next to her to pull aside the fish, revealing the large fish in its entirety to everyone.
This thing was about a meter long, completely black, and looked like a cannonball, except for two red rings around its head and an exquisitely crafted propeller at its tail.
"This...this is a bomb?"
Even though she had never eaten pork, Ye Xiaocui had seen pigs run. When she was young, she had watched the big movies shown in the village.
Doesn't this thing look just like the bombs used by the Japanese devils?
But where would a bomb be in the water?
"This is probably a torpedo."
Fu Wan crouched down to examine the large machine and, sure enough, found several English words at the tail of the propeller, and even a small, beautiful national flag.
Damn it, is this the legendary spy device that the United States placed in Chinese waters?
Fu Wan remembered reading reports in her previous life that many fishermen had retrieved such unidentified devices while fishing, and when they were handed over to the relevant departments for inspection, they were found to be eavesdropping devices from the United States.
Think about how vast the ocean is, how fishermen work at sea, everyone knows there are fish and shrimp in the sea, who would have thought there would be such disgusting creatures in the sea?
Fu Wan didn't know what this thing did, or whether it was on or off. These kinds of things usually use radio positioning. Looking at the dilapidated exterior of this thing, a lot of the red paint had peeled off.
Fu Wan estimated that this thing had been in the sea for a long time.
Damn it, America is truly shameless!
They were even so bold as to have their national flag on the tail of this thing, practically right up to their face. I put it there, so what?
Not knowing if the radio receiver could see the image at this point, Fu Wan made a friendly gesture towards the torpedo.
Seeing Fu Wan raise her middle finger at that thing, Ye Xiaocui couldn't understand what it meant.
"What kind of torpedo is this?"
Ye Xiaocui and Jiang Chunlan didn't quite understand. How could a perfectly good bomb turn into a landmine?
Because he needed to haul in the nets, Boss Fu deliberately slowed down the boat considerably.
He didn't hear any sound of them moving fish baskets for a long time. He felt that something was wrong and couldn't sit still any longer, so he turned off the engine and came to the deck to check the situation.
When Fu Liang saw that Boss Fu had suddenly stopped the boat, he was afraid that something had happened, so he stopped the boat right next to Boss Fu.
Then everyone saw the big guy at Fu Wan's feet.
"Ah Wan, this thing...it reminds me of a torpedo!"
Boss Fu, being an old fisherman who had lived two lives, recognized at a glance that this thing was no ordinary object.
His face immediately darkened. "We need to put this thing away and report it to the government later."
Fu Wan nodded, "I just don't know how many of these things are in the sea. I'm afraid there's more than one."
The ocean is so vast that even if Fu Wan is a very good swimmer, she wouldn't dare say she could swim across the entire ocean.
Boss Fu called Fu Mingye and a few other men over to the boat, moved the thing to the side of the deck, and then found several empty snakeskin bags to wrap it up.
This shouldn't be publicized too much; who knows if the news spread by the villagers will eventually reach the ears of spies?
"Now we really have to go to the fisheries administration bureau."
Fu Wan sighed helplessly, but this was also a good thing. At least now that she had retrieved it, it could no longer gather intelligence from the seabed.
"I'll suggest to the leadership that everyone keep an eye on things during fishing operations. Once these things are caught, they should be handed over to the state. Sooner or later, we'll catch all the spies in the sea."
Fu and the others nodded in agreement. As Chinese people, they felt they had to get rid of these disgusting things.
If it weren't for the fact that the country kept it for future use, they would have used wrenches and machetes as soon as they retrieved it, and it would have fallen apart in less than ten minutes!
