Chapter 325 My Uncle Fell into the Water!

After removing the stone from the hook once more, Fu Wan looked up and met Fu Ming's mournful gaze.

He looked like someone had bullied him. Fu Wan got goosebumps from his gaze and couldn't help rubbing her arms as she asked, "What's wrong?"

Fu Ming sighed with a look of melancholy.

"We were born to the same parents, but my luck is just too bad!"

"It's been an hour or two, and your fish have been coming in non-stop, but I haven't even seen a single scale."

This is truly inhumane and utterly cruel!

Fu Wan felt helpless after hearing this. She didn't know how to comfort her brother. She couldn't very well go down and put a fish on his hook herself.

Ye Lin, who was standing next to him, suppressed a smile and comforted him, "Ah Ming, don't give up. Maybe there will be fish later. Look, I've only caught one bighead carp in all this time."

After hearing Ye Lin's words, Fu Ming felt somewhat comforted.

No sooner had Ye Lin finished speaking than his fishing rod suddenly sank. He instinctively lifted the rod, pulling a palm-sized yellowfin seabream out of the water. (Image of yellowfin seabream, please delete if infringing copyright) "Well, that's just how luck is, it comes when you least expect it, haha."

Ye Lin smiled sheepishly as he took the yellowfin seabream off the bucket and threw it in. Looking at Fu Ming now, he seemed even more depressed than before.

Heh, all that comforting is just unnecessary showing off.

After watching Fu Ming's dramatic shift from being comforted to becoming depressed again, Fu Wan and Boss Fu couldn't help but laugh.

"Laughing? Still laughing? Dad, you didn't catch any fish either."

Fu Ming was annoyed by their laughter, and boldly attacked Boss Fu, who was guarding the fishing rod.

Boss Fu wasn't upset by what he said, and just nodded at him.

"Then you'd better watch out!"

After saying that, he raised his fishing rod and within two minutes pulled up a sea bass weighing two or three pounds.

Well, what could be more heartbreaking than this reality?

Despite his sadness, Fu Ming quickly rallied. He refused to believe he'd come up empty-handed today.

It must be because there isn't enough bait!

So Fu Ming picked up his fishing rod again and gripped the hook at the bottom of the fishing line.

Sure enough, there was nothing on it; the fish had eaten the bait again.

His eyes lit up, and he immediately had an idea.

"Hey, what are you doing with my bait?"

Fu Wan was still outsmarting those endless fishermen when a large hand appeared and stole her bait.

Fu Ming said with a self-righteous expression, "Awan, I see you don't have much bait left. Why don't we switch? I have plenty of bait here!"

How could there not be many? He didn't catch any fish, so naturally he had a lot of bait left over.

Fu Wan looked at him suspiciously, not believing that Fu Ming would be so kind.

Fu Ming remained calm and composed, knowing that Fu Wan's bucket was indeed almost empty of bait.

Without further ado, he simply grabbed a handful of bait and hooked it onto his fishing line.

I'm hanging up, I'm hanging up, I'm hanging up, hanging up!

With the bait all over the hook, how could there be no fish coming?

While Fu Ming was frantically fiddling with the bait, Boss Fu and Ye Lin caught several fish in a row, but none of them were big fish; they were mostly sea bass and red snapper weighing a pound or two.

After catching half a bucket of rock goby, Fu Wan, perhaps due to a change in bait, finally broke the cycle with a sea bass.

"Ah Wan, what time is it?"

Time always flies when you're fishing. After having his fill, Boss Fu suddenly remembered that his lonely Fu Liang was still ahead, trawling the net in the boat.

Sailing a boat is mentally taxing; I wonder if Fu Liang is tired.

"Dad, it's already two o'clock."

They had been fishing for almost two hours.

Upon hearing this, Boss Fu put away his fishing rod.

"Then I'll go to the front and let Ah Liang come down to rest."

Originally, it should have been Fu Ming who went, but seeing his crazy look that he wouldn't go back until he caught a fish today, Boss Fu silently decided to go and relieve Fu Liang himself.

Fu Liang hadn't sailed a boat at night for quite some time and was indeed a bit tired.

Sailing at night definitely requires more effort than during the day.

Because the sea is pitch black and visibility is very low, the person navigating the boat has to maintain a good course to prevent the boat from veering off course, and also be careful not to crash into any protruding rocks in the sea.

So when Boss Fu came to replace him, Fu Liang didn't try to be brave. He just rubbed his stiff face and gave up his place.

"Ah Liang, why don't you go take a nap? I'll turn on the internet in another hour."

After hauling in this net, we have to collect the fish traps and crab traps, and then return to the dock.

Fu Liang agreed. He wasn't very sleepy, but his eyes were sore.

When Fu Liang got to the deck and saw his siblings fishing, he immediately perked up and joined them.

"Ah Wan, give me some of your bait."

Fu Liang always preferred the bait mixed by Fu Wan. Fu Wan wasn't stingy either. There was a lot of bait left over from Fu Ming's bucket, and with the shrimp she mixed in, she gave half to Fu Liang and kept quite a lot for herself.

"Gurgle."

An unfamiliar voice rang out, and Ye Lin looked somewhat embarrassed when he saw Fu Wan turn to look at him.

"Brother Lin, are you hungry?"

Ye Lin couldn't possibly admit it. "I'm not hungry at all. I just ate a pancake!"

Actually, that happened a few hours ago.

"I'll go get some more food."

Fishing also requires energy. Hearing Ye Lin's stomach growl, Fu Wan also felt that her stomach was a little empty.

So she simply stood up and asked Ye Lin to watch her fishing rod, then turned around and crept into the cabin.

Ye Xiaocui, Jiang Chunlan, and several children were sleeping soundly in the cabin, which was much warmer than the deck.

Fu Wan wanted to grab a pancake from the shelf next to her, but when she touched it, she found that she had touched nothing.

She quietly walked to the shelf, but instead of seeing the oil paper used to pack the cakes, she discovered the instant noodles she had left under the shelf.

Yeah, I haven't eaten the instant noodles yet.

It was the coldest time of day outside, and Fu Wan couldn't even imagine how delicious a bowl of instant noodles would be.

Instant noodles also need boiling water. She picked up the kettle next to her and found that there was still more than half a kettle inside, which was enough for instant noodles.

Then, like a thief, she found two large bowls and several pairs of chopsticks nearby before quietly leaving the scene of the crime.

Who would have thought that as soon as she left, someone on the bed opened their eyes.

"Ah Wan, what are you holding?"

Fu Liang was also a little hungry and originally wanted to eat some pancakes, but unexpectedly he saw Fu Wan come out with several bowls.

"Brother Liang, I'll make some instant noodles for everyone to eat."

"Is it the instant noodles you bought at the supply and marketing cooperative before?"

Fu Wan nodded, still tearing open the instant noodle packaging.

Including Boss Fu who was steering the boat, that makes five people.

Fu Wan brought out six packets of instant noodles, enough to make two large bowls.

The instant noodles did smell really good. Ye Lin and Fu Liang kept glancing at Fu Wan, but Fu Ming didn't make a sound.

"I've got a fish! I've got a fish!"

Fu Ming shouted excitedly, and a strong pull came from the other end of the fishing rod.

This looks like they've caught a big fish!

"Come quickly and help!"

No sooner had Fu Ming finished speaking than the fishing rod in his hand snapped in two.

Having finally caught a fish, Fu Ming was determined not to let it get away. In his haste, he chased after the broken rod and jumped into the sea.

"Oh no! My uncle has fallen into the water!"
