Chapter 410 Delivering a Rice Cooker

After the fish were transported, as usual, Fu Ming and Fu Liang followed Fu San to unload and weigh the goods, while Fu Wan took the items and went home with Fu Laoda.

Of course, she didn't forget the cloth bag she kept in the cabin, which contained the red stone that the finless porpoise had given her.

"Awan, go take a shower first. After Mingzhu and Lingling have finished showering, I'll cook some dumpling soup for everyone to drink so they can go to sleep."

Even though they ate noodles before disembarking, it was only enough to fill the stomach for Boss Fu and his group, who had large appetites.

So Ye Xiaocui didn't rest after she came back. She, Jiang Chunlan, and Fu Fengying cooked some simple food and boiled water for the two children to wash their hair and take a bath.

Qin Mingzhu can now do it herself, and Fu Ling is following suit, but she still needs an adult's help when washing her hair.

Because Fu Wan bought a rice cooker before, there's no need to boil water or steam rice at home now. So all she needs to do is stir-fry two dishes and make a soup, which is a quick process.

Fu Wan quickly washed herself in the backyard with water, changed her clothes, and then remembered that she hadn't delivered the rice cooker to Fu San yet.

These past few days have been like a battle, and with Jack coming to cause trouble again, she completely forgot about it.

"Mom, I'll go check on Uncle's house first. You all eat first!"

Fu Wan wasn't actually hungry, and since she ate too much at night, she couldn't sleep well, so she simply used the excuse of delivering the rice cooker to slip away.

Otherwise, if Ye Xiaocui sees that she isn't eating, she'll start nagging her again.

Before Ye Xiaocui could reply, she saw her daughter carrying a rice cooker and holding a flashlight as she ran away.

She shook her head, then beckoned to Fu Fengying and the others, "Come on, let's eat something. If you don't want rice, you can have some dumpling soup and some vegetables!"

Fu Ling and Qin Mingzhu originally wanted to run outside with Fu Wan, but Ye Xiaocui quickly grabbed them and stuffed each of them with half a bowl of dumpling soup.

"Eat just a little bit, not too much. If you need to go to the bathroom at night, remember to call for Mom, okay?"

Fu Ling nodded obediently, "Grandma, I don't wet the bed."

Ye Xiaocui happily peeled a shrimp for her, "Grandma knows, you and Mingzhu eat quickly, and then go to sleep. Children need to eat and sleep a lot to grow tall!"

Of course, she didn't neglect Qin Mingzhu either. She used to feel sorry for the child, but now that time has passed and Qin Mingzhu is well-behaved, she has completely become a member of the Fu family.

Fu Fengying initially thought Qin Mingzhu was Fu Wansheng's child, but after seeing the child's age, she realized she had guessed wrong.

It wasn't until she secretly asked Ye Xiaocui that she learned the child was actually picked up and raised by Fu Wan.

Others might say Fu Wan is foolish, but Fu Fengying doesn't think so.

She herself had adopted Jack, so naturally she felt increasingly close to Fu Wan and Qin Mingzhu.

Qin Mingzhu's personality is much more cheerful now than when she first arrived, but the only thing that hasn't changed is that she is still as good to Fu Ling as ever, and the two children rarely quarrel.

When Fu Wan arrived at Fu San's house, the fish had just been weighed. Fu San directed Fu Shi and the others to put the fish into the cold storage while also changing the water for the still-alive grouper.

Fu San didn't notice Fu Wan coming over, but Lin Qiuju, who was sitting next to him, did.

"Ah Wan, come and eat!"

There were several dishes in front of Lin Qiuju. Fu Wan glanced at them and saw that there was fish, shrimp, and vegetables. It was a good mix of meat and vegetables. No wonder Lin Qiuju was now plump and fair-skinned, almost unrecognizable from before she was pregnant.

"No, Auntie, I ate on the boat, I'm not hungry right now."

She waved her hand and then placed what she was holding on the chair next to her.

Upon hearing Fu Wan's voice, Fu San hurriedly put down what he was doing and went over.

"Wan, why are you so late?"

Fu Ming and Fu Liang had just come out of the cold storage to unload fish when they saw Fu Wan. They thought she was there to call them home.

"Ah Wan, keep the acquisition order that Third Uncle gave you!"

Fu Ming hurriedly pulled out the purchase order from his pocket and handed it to Fu Wan. He was going to give it to Fu Wan to keep when he got back, because he was afraid he would lose it if he kept it with him.

Fu Wan took the purchase order, but before she could even open it, Fu San was already examining the rice cooker on the table.

"Ah Wan, what's this?"

Although Fu San recognized the characters on it, he had never seen this thing before.

There's nothing we can do about it; this guy is really lucky. Before Lin Qiuju got pregnant, she took care of everything in the kitchen, and after she got pregnant, his mother-in-law came to help. He only needed to focus on making money, and he didn't have to worry about anything in the kitchen.

"Oh, this is a rice cooker I bought at the Friendship Store. I brought one for your family too. It's convenient and easy to use, so you won't have to steam rice anymore."

Upon hearing that it was kitchen stuff, Fu San immediately lost interest. He had his reasons for not going into the kitchen: this kid would blow it up.

They really deep-fried them. When he was young, Boss Fu taught him how to roast sweet potatoes. Everyone else's fire pits were fine, but his fire pit either wouldn't light or the sweet potatoes wouldn't cook.

Fu San, who was being attacked, had absolutely no interest in anything related to the kitchen.

Lin Qiuju, who was standing next to her, seemed quite interested in what she was hearing.

Fu Wan explained to her and Aunt Zhao how to use the rice cooker, which made Aunt Zhao exclaim in surprise.

"Wow, life is getting better now! This thing can even cook for itself?!"

Just imagine how long it takes them to cook rice: rinsing, scooping, and steaming. It takes at least two hours.

According to Fu Wan, this thing is just a matter of washing the rice and adding water, then letting it cook on its own. Once it's cooked, it will automatically shut off and keep the rice warm!

Zhao Da Niang immediately fell in love with such an advanced device. If dinner hadn't already been prepared, she would have wanted to try it right now.

"But this thing must be very expensive, right?"

Lin Qiuju touched the outer shell of the rice cooker. Anything that's electrified isn't expensive. She'd only ever heard of televisions and refrigerators, but never actually seen them.

"Honey, look at this thing, how much does it cost? Pay for it to Awan, we can't let them get ripped off!"

Fu Wan waved her hand, "It won't cost much, Auntie, don't worry about it. I just bought a few for convenience at home."

Lin Qiuju knew perfectly well that Fu Wan was trying to comfort her. After glancing at Fu San, she pulled Fu Wan down to sit again.

"Third Aunt, you were right about me. My family is exactly what we need."

Fu San received his wife's signal and knew that she wanted him to give him money, but he was also very worried.

He doesn't know how much this thing costs; he'll have to ask when he delivers it tomorrow.

While chatting with Lin Qiuju, Fu Wan opened the purchase order in her hand to check the weighed fish.

Just as she was scanning the rows, footsteps suddenly came from the doorway.

Then came Fu Jian's loud shout, his voice hoarse and breathless:

"Ah Shi, Ah Shi! Hurry back and check! Your mousetrap has caught a big rat!"
