Chapter 562 Lots of Seashells

"Ah Wan, come and have breakfast!"

"Oh, here it comes!"

Upon hearing Boss Fu's summons, Fu Wan hurriedly responded loudly.

The ashes looked too fresh.

Although much of it has been blown away by the wind, judging from the surrounding traces, someone must have landed on this small island within the last two weeks.

"Wan, what are you looking at?"

Fang Min quietly walked over and saw Fu Wan staring blankly at the ground, so she asked her in confusion.

“Oh, Amin, look, I accidentally saw a pile of firewood ash here. I guess there were other people like us who stayed on this island.”

Strangely, these marks are very fresh; perhaps a fishing boat just passed us by.

Upon hearing this, Fang Min quickly stepped forward and reached out to touch the dust on the ground.

"It should take about a week."

Fu Wan stood up and looked at the sea not far away.

The sea was peaceful, with only a few seabirds flying around and no fishing boats in sight.

They are currently about 700 to 800 nautical miles from the waters near Fujia Village, and fishermen's small boats would never sail this way.

For some reason, Fu Wan had a bad feeling.

"It's alright, they might just be fishermen passing by."

Seeing that Fang Min seemed a little nervous because of her, Fu Wan smiled and dusted off her hands.

"Let's go, Amin, let's go have breakfast."

Fu Wan gently pulled her arm, about to turn around and go towards Fu Ming and the others, but the next second, her eyes were dazzled by a light.

The blinding light in broad daylight is most likely sunlight reflected off the rocks.

Things that can reflect light are usually things like seashells.

Fu Wan put her hands together in front of her forehead and looked towards the place where the light had come from. Sure enough, there was a large reef not far away.

When Fu Wan saw the dense array of conch shells along the edge of the reef, she couldn't help but shout out excitedly.

"Seashells, look! So many seashells!"

Upon hearing this, Fang Min looked over, and the next second she took off running towards Fu Ming and the others.

"I'll go get the tools!"

Good heavens, both of them were empty-handed. Not only was it inconvenient to gather snails, but they also had nothing to put in their baskets.

The sea snails in that area were all quite large, mostly fragrant whelks and red whelks, and also quite a few common spicy whelks.

Not long after Fang Min ran back, she returned with some things and Fu Qing, who was still eating a shrimp.

Fu Ming and Ye Lin followed behind.

"Ah Wan, where can I find a conch shell?!"

If we're talking about who in the Fu family loves conch shells the most, it has to be Comrade Fu Ming.

Whether you add wasabi to a cold salad or stir-fry it, sea snails taste absolutely divine.

Fu Wan didn't need to answer; her brothers had already spotted the rocks in front of her.

"Wow, so many seashells!"

Fu Ming didn't even have time to put on gloves before reaching out to pluck snails.

Fu Wan shook her head, "Brother, doesn't your hand hurt?"

Fu Ming wasn't about to back down. He grimaced and pulled his hand back, managing to pluck the snail off, but his hand was red from the effort.

"Haha, these whelks are great! Ah Wan, I'll take some back and make whelk sauce!"

Fu Wan gave him a teasing look. There were many people around, so she decided to give her brother some face.

Fu Ming made a lot of shrimp paste at home because Qin Anning liked it. Occasionally, when she was busy, there wasn't much food left in the cafeteria.

So these shrimp pastes came in handy, making the dish not only delicious with rice but also very flavorful.

Conch sauce is something Fu Ming has always wanted to make, but recently no one has been going out to go beachcombing, and they haven't found many conches.

When Fu Ming saw so many snails, he was overjoyed.

"Ah Wan, gloves."

Fu Wan took the gloves from Fang Min, put them on, and began to gather sea snails.

These whelks are big and plump, making your mouth water just looking at them.

The whelk, also known as the horse snail, the jingling snail, and the golden thread snail, has about seven layers of shell and looks like a rhombus.

The shell is yellowish-brown, and the tail spirals like a small tower. The top of the shell is smooth, but the surface is very rough, and you can feel the spiral lines when you touch it.

This type of conch has a grayish-white interior and a large shell opening. Its flavor is top-tier among conches, with plump, succulent meat that tastes similar to abalone. (Image of a conch from the internet; it's not cheap.) "Fun, so many conches!"

Fu Qing was yelling and pulling hard at the conch shell. Fu Ming was in a good mood and couldn't help but tease her.

"Ah Qing, there are so many seashells, can you give me all the ones you've picked?"

Fu Qing thought for a moment, hesitated for half a minute, and then nodded, "I can give them to you, but could you leave four for me?"

Fu Ming immediately became interested. "Why keep four?"

Fu Qing counted on her fingers, "Mother will eat one, I will eat one, and Sister Fang and Awan will each eat one."

There are four!

Upon hearing this, Fu Wan was so moved that tears streamed down her face.

She casually picked up a small stone from the side and threw it at Fu Ming's feet, saying, "Have some decency, you're even trying to steal things from A Qing."

"Haha, I was just teasing her!"

Fu Ming stepped back to avoid the splashing water, then reached into his bucket and grabbed a handful of whelks.

"Here you go, I have some!"

Fu Qing accepted it with a smile. "This is so much fun! It's much more fun than going beachcombing in the village."

No one called her stupid, and no one tried to take the seafood from her.

Her older siblings treat her well, and she's almost tired of eating the shrimp that her mother only buys for holidays.

So she must work hard!

Thinking this, Fu Qing's movements quickened, and for a time, not only Fu Wan, but even Fu Ming and the other men couldn't keep up with her speed.

However, there were still many reefs here, and when Fu Shi and the others arrived, they also took their buckets and went to the side to look for seafood.

Chen Balang and Boss Fu are truly brothers; they were both exhausted last night and are still asleep.

Especially Chen Balang, according to Fu Ming and Ye Jianguo, last night when they were not familiar with the operation of the radar fishing net, Chen Balang was basically the one who was busy doing all the work.

It took Ye Jianguo and the others quite a while to learn how to collect fish from the radar network.

"Good heavens, there are giant cat's-eye snails on the beach!"

Fu Xiaochuan shouted excitedly, and Fu Dahai next to him laughed happily.

"Not only that, there are many traces of octopuses here. Look at this sand, I can dig one out every time."

A dozen or so people were having so much fun on the beach that they lost all sense of direction, and soon the buckets next to them were more than half full.

When Boss Fu opened his eyes, the sun was already shining into the cabin. Before he even got off the ship, he heard Fu Ming and the others shouting.

"Holy crap, this octopus is so lively! Look, it's still sticking to my hand!"

He looked over at the sound and found that everyone was gathering seafood. Chen Balang was standing by the boat, lighting a cigarette.

Hey, there's hope for the future! It's great to have so many people working together!

After Fu Wan finished picking the sea snails around her, she picked up some small stones and shooed away the seabirds that had boldly come closer.

The seabirds flew away with a whoosh, and only then did Fu Wan notice a beautiful conch shell in the sand where the seabirds had landed.
