Chapter 911 Crab King

"How come there are pears here?"

Fu Wan looked at the pear tree in surprise. It was surrounded by mango trees whose fruit was not yet ripe, and it was the only pear tree that stood out among them.

If Fu Wan hadn't had such good eyesight, she really wouldn't have noticed that this tree was different.

Upon hearing Fu Wan's words, Fu Ming and the others all looked in the direction she was looking.

Ye Lin was the first to react, "Isn't this Yamanashi? How come there are some on the island too?"

He ran over, picked one, took a bite, frowned, but didn't spit it out.

"It's alright, a little sour. It should be ready in another month or so."

"Brother Lin, let me try it."

Upon hearing this, Ye Lin picked a few and ran back. Each of them received one. Fu Wan picked up a pear and wiped it on her clothes; it did indeed taste a bit astringent.

Things should get much better in a while.

It's a pity, she thought she could pick a whole sackful to take home today.

The main reason is that the tree is laden with pears, weighing at least a hundred pounds.

The fruit wasn't ripe yet, but that's okay. We can come back and pick it in another month or so.

It was a rare fruit, after all, and although it was astringent, the group couldn't bear to throw it away. They ate it before running to the pit to look for blue crabs.

Ye Lin wasn't good at finding blue crabs in the mud at first, but after catching two with Fu Ming, he gradually learned the tricks of catching blue crabs.

You need to have sharp eyes and be careful. When you see a blue crab, press down on its shell and then grab its two big pincers to pick it up.

Fu Wan was very skilled and caught two blue crabs weighing more than half a pound each. These crabs were very fierce. As soon as she threw them into the bucket, they immediately raised their pincers and went into a state of alert.

Unfortunately, no matter how fierce they were, they couldn't outdo humans. In just half an hour, the four of them had caught more than half a bucket of blue crabs.

And all of them weighed more than half a pound; those weighing less than half a pound were all released by Fu Wanrang.

As the event was nearing its end, Fu Ming caught a last blue crab that weighed over a pound, which made him extremely proud.

"Haha, looks like your luck isn't as good as mine today!"

However, the next second, Ye Lin expressionlessly grabbed a blue crab the size of a washbasin from the mud pit and held it up in front of Fu Ming.

In reality, he was so excited that he could run around the island like a monkey.

"Amin, what do you think of this?"

Fu Ming was stunned when he saw this, and his face immediately darkened as he began to curse.

"Get out! Can't you see for yourself?!"

Seriously, teaching a disciple can lead to the master starving; this crab is a whole size bigger than his!

"Haha, don't be angry. I'll give you a pair of pliers as payment for becoming my apprentice."

"roll!"

The group joked back and forth, and soon the bucket was almost full, and they had caught most of the blue crabs.

Fu Wan clapped her hands. "Let's go back now, the buckets are overflowing."

None of the older brothers had any objections, but Fu Liang took off walking towards the pear tree.

"Wait a moment, I'll pick some more pears."

Fu Wan asked, puzzled, "Brother Liang, these pears aren't ripe yet, they're a bit sour."

He just tried it himself.

Fu Liang scratched his head and then smiled sheepishly.

“It’s been hot lately, and your sister-in-law hasn’t had much of an appetite. These pears look good; I’ll pick a couple to take home.”

Well, everyone's been shown up again.

Fu Wan seemed thoughtful. "Brother Liang, is your wife pregnant?"

Fu Liang shook his head. "I don't know either. There's nothing wrong with me except for a poor appetite. I was going to go see the village doctor, but your sister-in-law wouldn't listen. She said it was because of the hot weather."

"Haha, I think it's highly likely that you're going to be a dad, Brother Liang!"

Fu Liang's eyes lit up at these words. To be honest, his mother had said the same thing before, but since there was nothing else wrong, he didn't force Wang Huiping to see a doctor.

They just wouldn't let her do any work anymore.

Looking at Fu Liang's beaming face, Fu Ming felt a pang of envy.

But he always remembered that his wife agreed to marry him on the premise that he would not interfere with her career or force her to have children.

Therefore, before his wife brought it up herself, Fu Ming would never show any desire to have children in front of her.

Of course, Qin Anning herself knew the answer to whether or not to have children, and when to have them.

The only one who might not be envious from the bottom of his heart is Ye Lin. Chen Guifang is due to give birth to her second child in a few months, and he gets a headache just looking at his eldest son, Ye Zhenxing.

If the second child is a sweet and soft daughter, that's fine. But if it's a second Ye Zhenxing, oh dear, Ye Lin feels like he'll lose ten years of his life!

As for Fu Wan, she also refused to have children. She would be content as long as she could raise Fu Ling to adulthood safely.

After helping Fu Liang pick a bag of wild pears, the group carried the buckets and prepared to go back.

However, just as she was passing a mud puddle, Fu Wan suddenly saw a black shadow flash by.

She instinctively stepped on it.

"Holy crap, what is that? A king crab?!"

Fu Ming cursed directly because the blue crab that Fu Wan stepped on was so big that if its pincers hadn't been raised, it would have looked like a rock covered in mud.

"Haha, we just went around in circles and couldn't find this thing, but it came out on its own when we went back."

Fu Wan was also surprised by this. She bent down and picked up the blue crab. It was no exaggeration to say that the thing was bigger than her head and probably weighed at least two pounds.

The crabs were too big to fit in the bucket, so Fu Wan simply had Fu Ming twist a straw rope to tie them up, then carried them in her hand and walked quickly outside.

Upon seeing Fu Wan and the others emerge from the woods, Fu Ling sprinted over in a hundred-meter dash.

"Mom, did you catch any crabs?!"

Fu Wan raised the crab in her hand and waved it at her. Fu Ling's eyes widened instantly, and she let out an exaggerated exclamation.

"Mom, you're amazing! You caught such a big crab!"

Fu Wan was quite pleased with her daughter's admiration, but just then, Qin Mingzhu's anxious shouts came from not far away.

"Lingling, godmother, come quick! Dahuang has been swept away by the sea again!"

Fu Wan looked puzzled, then dropped the crab and ran towards the waves.

The waves continued to crash onto the beach, but Big Yellow was nowhere to be seen in the water.

A strange thought suddenly popped into Fu Wan's mind: Da Huang should not be afraid of water.

If you're afraid of water, you should stay far away from the waves after getting ashore. How could you possibly be swept away by the waves again?

"Mingzhu, where is Dahuang?"

Qin Mingzhu pointed to the boundless sea not far away, "That's where Dahuang went."

Fu Wan captured the key information.

"Did it run there on its own?"

Qin Mingzhu was also a little confused. She nodded and said with a puzzled look, "Yes, I was thinking of taking Lingling with me when Lingling left."

Suddenly it ran towards the waves, and I couldn't stop it..."

As soon as she finished speaking, a dog's head popped up in the sea. Before Fu Wan could go forward, Da Huang followed the waves and swam back on its own.

That's not the most surprising thing. The most surprising thing is that Big Yellow actually had a struggling grouper in its mouth!
