Make the best of a bad situation
Lu Qingzhou frantically clamped Leng Yue's legs between his own, trying to control the situation, and said playfully, "Wife, what are you doing? It's me. Where's your man?"
But hidden in his somewhat deep and hoarse voice was a slight tremor that even Lu Qingzhou himself did not notice.
Leng Yue trembled with rage, her heart filled with shame and anger. Her reason was instantly consumed by fury, and she bit down hard on Lu Qingzhou's hand that was covering her.
Lu Qingzhou felt a sharp pain and reflexively released Leng Yue.
Taking this opportunity, Leng Yue kicked Lu Qingzhou with all her might. With a muffled thud, Lu Qingzhou rolled off the bed like a dead dog.
She immediately let out a soft "ouch".
Leng Yue raised her hand and instantly turned on the bedside lamp, the bright light illuminating the room.
Lu Qingzhou grimaced as he got up from the ground, rubbing his sore bottom with one hand, and his gaze immediately met Leng Yue's eyes, which seemed to want to devour him.
Lu Qingzhou feigned surprise, his face filled with panic, and hurriedly jumped to the doorway, exclaiming in a low voice, "Leng Yue, it's you?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the room fell into a deathly silence, so quiet that you could hear a pin drop, and they could clearly hear each other's rapid and powerful heartbeats.
Leng Yue's cheeks were so red they looked like they could bleed, and her emotions surged like a turbulent tide.
Her gaze was fixed on Lu Qingzhou, her eyes filled with a complex emotion that made her want to rush up and bite him to death.
After a moment, Leng Yue took a few deep breaths, trying to calm her turbulent emotions, and looked at Lu Qingzhou fiercely, saying, "If you dare to say a single word about what happened tonight, I'll kill you."
Lu Qingzhou was extremely embarrassed, her facial muscles twitching unnaturally. She feigned panic and said, "Miss Leng Yue, this is just a misunderstanding, I..."
"Shut up and get out of here." Before Lu Qingzhou could finish speaking, Leng Yue interrupted him mercilessly, her eyes like those of an enraged lion.
Lu Qingzhou wanted to explain further, but seeing Leng Yue's fierce expression, as if she wanted to devour him alive, he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
Looking at his irritating expression, Leng Yue said angrily again, "Get out of here now."
"Alright!"
Lu Qingzhou responded and, without any hesitation, opened the door and left.
The moment the door closed, Lu Qingzhou let out a heavy sigh of relief, as if a tremendous burden had been lifted from her shoulders.
He dashed to his bedroom, slamming the door shut and frantically locking it. He was terrified Leng Yue would get up and bite him in the middle of the night! The scene just now was truly terrifying; Lu Qingzhou felt he almost wouldn't make it back!
He lay on his bed, his heart still pounding, unable to calm down for a long time. Thinking of Leng Yue's warning, Lu Qingzhou's lips curled into a slight smile.
He chuckled lightly, "What a joke, only an idiot would tell anyone about something like this." He had been worried that Leng Yue would complain to Su Qingyao, but after hearing Leng Yue's words, his anxiety finally subsided.
Lu Qingzhou raised her hands and looked at them. She subconsciously brought them to her nose and smelled them. There was still a faint fragrance left on her fingertips.
Unlike the fragrances of Su Qingyao and Mu Shaohua, this fragrance seemed to carry a hint of sweetness.
Lu Qingzhou shuddered, as if shocked by his own actions, and fiercely condemned his shameful behavior.
Thinking to myself, it seems tonight is destined to be a sleepless night.
Meanwhile, in Su Qingyao's room, Leng Yue looked down at herself, her hands unconsciously gripping the blankets tightly, her knuckles turning slightly white from the force.
He muttered Lu Qingzhou's name through gritted teeth.
"Damn Lu Qingzhou... Ugh, why am I so unlucky? This bastard took such a huge advantage of me. Damn it... damn it..."
With each word she spoke, she tore at the bedding in her hands, as if it were not bedding but Lu Qingzhou's body.
A moment later, Su Qingyao returned from downstairs.
Looking at the pitch-black bedroom, she thought to herself, "Hmm, Leng Yue is asleep so early." She groped around the door for a moment, her fingertips finally touching the cold light switch.
With a "snap," the light instantly dispelled the darkness in the bedroom.
Looking up, I saw Leng Yue completely covered by the blanket, like a frightened little animal hiding away.
Su Qingyao shook her head and smiled, then gently stepped forward and lifted the blanket.
Speechless.
Leng Yue opened her bright eyes, her gaze filled with a hint of panic, and her cheeks flushed with a captivating blush, making her look as delicate and alluring as a young married woman.
Seeing this, Su Qingyao was full of doubt and asked with concern, "You're still not asleep? Why is your face so red? Are you sick?"
As she spoke, she raised her hand to touch Leng Yue's forehead, wanting to check her body temperature.
Leng Yue's heart tightened suddenly, and an indescribable panic surged into her heart. She subconsciously covered her burning cheeks with her hands.
She thought to herself, "It's been a while, why are my cheeks still so red?"
She didn't dare look Su Qingyao in the eye. She couldn't very well tell her that this was all her man's doing, could she?
After a moment, Leng Yue's voice was as soft as a mosquito's hum as she stammered and made up a story: "No, it's probably just too hot, too hot."
As he spoke, he pretended to fan himself a few times with his hand.
"It's hot, why are you still sleeping with your head covered?"
Su Qingyao rolled her eyes, but seeing that she seemed to be alright, she didn't pay too much attention to it.
