The following is the main text:
After a while,
Lu Qingzhou's strong voice came from the kitchen: "Dinner's ready, my little darlings and big darlings, hurry up and wash your hands and eat."
Su Qingyao's gaze shifted slightly towards the kitchen, her expression calm, like a still lake.
She stood up gracefully.
She gently patted Zhouzhou, who was watching TV nearby, and asked softly, "Zhouzhou, is your Aunt Lengyue playing games in her room again?"
Her tone was soft and calm.
Zhouzhou put down the remote control in her hand.
Shaking his head,
Her little braids swayed back and forth like rattles.
She answered crisply, "I don't know if she's playing games. Aunt Lengyue stayed in the bedroom after she came out of the kitchen."
Upon hearing this, Su Qingyao turned her gaze to Leng Yue's tightly closed door, her eyes narrowing slightly.
The image of that message I secretly deleted kept flashing through my mind...
A slight smile played on her lips. She then took a few graceful steps forward and gently knocked on Leng Yue's bedroom door.
"Knock knock knock!"
"Yueyue, come out for dinner."
Her voice carried its usual intimacy and naturalness, as if nothing unusual had happened.
Leng Yue, sitting in the room, felt her heart was like a stormy sea, turbulent and chaotic.
Upon hearing Su Qingyao's voice, her heart clenched as if gripped tightly by an invisible hand. Countless terrifying thoughts flashed through her mind, and she even felt like dying.
Normally, she secretly loves Lu Qingzhou. This hidden feeling is like a bomb that could explode at any time, making her always feel uncomfortable when facing Lu Qingzhou and Su Qingyao.
And now,
That confession text message was like a Damocles' sword hanging over her head, making her even more uneasy. She was filled with thoughts of how Lu Qingzhou would react after seeing the message.
"Knock knock knock," Su Qingyao's knocking came again. Leng Yue shook her head violently, trying to get rid of all these distracting thoughts.
She took a few deep breaths, her chest heaving, trying to compose herself. She cleared her throat to make her voice sound as normal as possible: "Okay, I'll be right there."
Hearing Leng Yue's response, Su Qingyao walked naturally towards the kitchen.
She started helping Lu Qingzhou serve the dishes.
......
The food was served, and the four of them sat down together.
Lu Qingzhou and Leng Yue secretly told themselves to act naturally, and they forced smiles as they chatted and laughed with Su Qingyao and Zhouzhou.
But there was an invisible wall between them, and they didn't exchange a single word the whole time, which was really weird.
Su Qingyao glanced at the two of them discreetly, her gaze like a sharp knife, seemingly trying to pierce through their disguise.
But she didn't ask any more questions, and just ate her meal quietly, as if she really hadn't noticed anything.
After the meal, Lu Qingzhou volunteered to wash the dishes.
He rolled up his sleeves, revealing his strong forearms, and skillfully cleared away the dishes.
Su Qingyao played with Zhouzhou in the living room, and looking at Zhouzhou's innocent smile, her heart was filled with warmth.
Leng Yue was "welded" to the sofa again, initially leaning back casually, but then seemed to feel that the sleeping position was uncomfortable.
He changed positions several times, like a restless fish, and finally sat cross-legged on the sofa, staring blankly ahead.
She was still thinking to herself, 'Lu Qingzhou must have seen that message, otherwise he wouldn't have stopped talking to me during dinner.'
Su Qingyao played with Zhouzhou for a while, then glanced at the sofa out of the corner of her eye and saw Leng Yue sitting alone, lost in thought.
He chuckled and teased, "Yueyue, why aren't you watching any shows? Why are you just sitting here all alone? What are you thinking about?"
Her tone was relaxed and natural.
Leng Yue was startled by her voice.
Like a startled fawn, she came to her senses and said somewhat flusteredly, "N-nothing, I was just thinking about what to eat for dinner."
As she spoke, her eyes darted around, and she dared not look directly into Su Qingyao's eyes.
Su Qingyao looked speechless, shook her head slightly, and smiled faintly: "Are you confused? We've only been eating for less than an hour."
Leng Yue also realized what was happening, and her face flushed.
He gave an embarrassed laugh and hurriedly explained, "You misheard me, I meant late-night snack, late-night snack."
Her voice rose a few decibels, as if she were trying to cover up her guilty conscience.
Su Qingyao raised an eyebrow, her eyelids twitching slightly, and asked, "Oh? Is that so? You look like you have something on your mind."
She glanced at Leng Yue, her expression unreadable.
Su Qingyao turned to look at Zhouzhou, who was playing with toys with great interest to the side.
A doting smile appeared on his face: "Zhouzhou, play by yourself for a while, okay?"
Zhouzhou looked up, nodded obediently, and continued to play with the toys in her hands.
Su Qingyao stood up, took light steps, and slowly walked to sit down next to Leng Yue.
She quietly observed Leng Yue's face, gently smoothed a strand of hair behind her ear, and asked with concern, "Why do you look so pale?"
As she spoke, she reached out and touched Leng Yue's forehead like a caring older sister.
Leng Yue's heart tightened suddenly. She quickly composed herself, trying to appear calm, and chuckled twice before saying, "Maybe my period is coming."
