Zhang Ming and Hao Jianren caught a glimpse of the name "Qingyao" on his caller ID out of the corner of their eyes. They exchanged a glance and immediately shut their mouths.
With his eyes fixed on Lu Qingzhou, Zhang Ming couldn't help but urge, "It should be a beautiful woman calling, brother, hurry up and answer it."
He looked even more anxious than Lu Qingzhou.
Seeing the strange looks in their eyes, Lu Qingzhou shook her head helplessly, got up and walked to the side, and answered the phone: "Hello, Qingyao, what's wrong?"
Su Qingyao's gentle voice came from the other end of the phone: "Zhouzhou is clamoring for barbecue here, bring some back for her when you come back."
Lu Qingzhou smiled to himself, looked at Zhang Ming and Hao Jianren, and after a moment's thought, replied, "Why don't you two come over and eat together? You haven't been out for a long time."
On the other end of the phone,
Upon hearing Lu Qingzhou's words, Su Qingyao's eyes lit up instantly, and a surge of joy welled up in her heart.
But she said in a deliberately calm tone, "Well... alright then, there's nothing to do at home anyway, so it's good to go out for a walk."
Lu Qingzhou hung up the phone, a faint smile still lingering on her lips. The image of Su Qingyao's seemingly calm yet undeniably joyful tone when she agreed to come over floated into her mind.
He walked back to the barbecue table, looked at the expectant eyes of the two men, coughed lightly, and said to Zhang Ming and Hao Jianren, "I invited a few beauties over to eat with us. You guys won't mind, will you?"
As he said this, a sly glint appeared in his eyes, deliberately keeping the two of them in suspense.
Hao Jianren and Zhang Ming were taken aback when they heard this, then they exchanged a glance, their eyes instantly revealing a knowing look that only men could understand.
The two men simultaneously reached out and patted Lu Qingzhou heavily on both shoulders. Hao Jianren laughed loudly, "Brother Lu, you did a great job! How could we blame you? Come on, let's have a drink."
As he spoke, he poured Lu Qingzhou a glass of wine, and the group clinked glasses before tilting their heads back and downing the wine in one large gulp.
Zhang Ming also had a big smile on his face, his excitement almost overflowing. He hurriedly said, "I'll ask the boss to bake some more to prepare."
As he spoke, he got up and walked towards the barbecue stall owner, shouting loudly as he went, "Boss, give me some more skewers, make the selection more varied!"
Hao Jianren chimed in, "Yes, yes, bring out all the meat and seafood. Don't let Brother Lu's beautiful girlfriends think we're being presumptuous."
