Old Chen unconsciously sat up straight.
A hint of inquiry crept into her eyes: "You didn't agree to him? What do you mean?"
"Of course not, he's only just started pursuing me, how could I possibly agree to be with him so easily?"
Chen Xiaoxi raised her chin, a smug smile playing on her lips.
She thought to herself: Even if we're going to be together, Lu Qingzhou needs to properly express his feelings and experience what it's like to be pursued.
When Chen Xiaoxi asked him about his relationship with Zhang Ruoshui, Old Man Chen's ears turned red instantly.
He coughed awkwardly, his eyes darting away: "No, she hasn't agreed yet! She said it depends on my performance."
He recalled Zhang Ruoshui's sly smile, and his heart felt both sweet and bitter, completely losing the authority he had when facing his daughter.
"It's good that you didn't agree. You two can't be together." Chen Xiaoxi's words were like a bucket of cold water poured over you.
Old Chen stood up from his chair in a hurry, disregarding his pride: "Daughter, you can't do this! I've already agreed to your request, and you still don't support me. You...you young man have no sportsmanship!" He was both angry and aggrieved, feeling that his daughter was deliberately making things difficult for him.

Lu Qingzhou gripped the steering wheel tightly, carrying Zhang Ruoshui and Leng Yue towards the Xinghai Villa District.
Finally, as the villa's automatic door slowly opened, two beautiful figures quickly appeared on the balcony upstairs.
Mu Shaohua looked at the familiar car downstairs, a smile unconsciously appearing on her lips. She turned to Su Qingyao beside her and said, "Xiao Lu and the others are back."
Su Qingyao glanced at it and then looked away, a hint of weariness in her eyes.
They sat back down on the sofa in the living room together.
Lu Qingzhou drove the car into the yard and immediately caught sight of the conspicuous Maybach.
The moment I saw the license plate number, I couldn't help but let out a soft exclamation: "Qingyao's car is actually here."
Upon hearing this, Leng Yue immediately perked up, leaned forward, and looked up at the front of the car roof with surprise in her eyes: "Why is Yao Yao here with Sister Shao Hua?"
Lu Qingzhou shook his head: "Who knows? Let's go inside and take a look."
The three of them got out of the car and quickened their pace unconsciously as they walked towards the living room door.
Their footsteps, along with Leng Yue's chattering voice, could be clearly heard inside the house.
Mu Shaohua and Su Qingyao immediately stood up and walked towards the door with anticipation. They saw Lu Qingzhou walking in front, with Leng Yue behind him, her arms around Zhang Ruoshui's.
Upon seeing Zhang Ruoshui, surprise flashed in Mu Shaohua and Su Qingyao's eyes. Mu Shaohua reacted first, smiling and saying, "You're back. Why did Mom come with you?"
Looking at her two daughters-in-law, Zhang Ruoshui was filled with joy, but the next second, a sense of embarrassment and confusion welled up in her heart.
I'm a little conflicted: how should I tell them how I came here with them?
Could it be that I made an appointment with Old Man Chen and they caught me red-handed? How embarrassing would that be?
Just as Zhang Ruoshui was filled with inner turmoil, Leng Yue spoke up with a grin: "We met Mom at Taihe Medical Clinic."
As he spoke, he playfully winked at Mu Shaohua and Su Qingyao, giving them a meaningful look.
