He glanced at the somewhat shy Chen Xiaoxi and said, "How about we go eat together now? It's lunchtime."
Mu Shaohua glanced at him and Chen Xiaoxi, a half-smile on her face: "This won't disturb you and Xiaoxi, will it?"
After being teased by Mu Shaohua, Chen Xiaoxi's already blushing face turned even redder all the way to her neck.
She wasn't ready to spend time with all of them yet, especially since Lu Qingzhou hadn't even started pursuing her!
After hesitating for a moment, Chen Xiaoxi finally spoke, "I...I'll go back first, I still have things to do at the clinic."
He had barely finished speaking when, without waiting for a response, he turned to leave.
Lu Qingzhou grabbed her arm, "Wait a minute,"
Chen Xiaoxi turned around and stared at him blankly, wondering what he was going to do: "What's wrong?"
Lu Qingzhou handed her the flowers that were placed on the table. "These flowers are for you."
Chen Xiaoxi instinctively took the flowers, her heart filled with panic. Lu Qingzhou was incredibly bold, giving her flowers in front of Su Qingyao and Mu Shaohua.
Just as she was in a state of utter confusion, a faint voice suddenly sounded beside her.
"I'm so envious. We've been together for so long, and some people have never even given me a bouquet of flowers."
Mu Shaohua pouted, looking at Lu Qingzhou with an expression that seemed both angry and resentful. It was unclear whether she was genuinely angry or just pretending.
Lu Qingzhou touched his nose and gave an embarrassed smile.
Chen Xiaoxi hurriedly pushed the flowers into Lu Qingzhou's hands, "Miss Mu, you've misunderstood. My relationship with him isn't what you think."
Mu Shaohua smiled slightly, picked up the flowers from Lu Qingzhou's arms, and handed them to Chen Xiaoxi: "Xiaoxi, he bought these for you personally."
Chen Xiaoxi glanced at Mu Shaohua and then at Lu Qingzhou, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Clutching the flowers, she dashed towards the door.
"Xiaoxi...let's have dinner together!"
Lu Qingzhou called out twice, but Chen Xiaoxi pretended not to hear and walked away without turning her head.
Lu Qingzhou watched Chen Xiaoxi's disappearing figure without chasing after her, and only sighed.
Mu Shaohua looked at Lu Qingzhou's somewhat helpless expression and said, "You won't be upset that we bothered you, will you?"
Lu Qingzhou snapped out of her daze and composed herself. "What are you saying? I should thank you for showing up at the crucial moment to support your husband. Xiaoxi's blind date has been ruined. Let's go eat."
