Chapter 19 I'm Curious Too

After finally coaxing the children to sleep, Jiang Ranran stood on the open-air balcony and looked at the lights of the city.

She knew that everything Jiang Zhen did today was for Jiang Cha Cha.

When Gu Tingchen asked her what her relationship was with the Jiang family, she was too embarrassed to even say it out loud. Everything in the past was unbearable to her, and she didn't want to mention it again.

How should she say it?

It is said that she was once the eldest daughter of the Jiang family in City A. She was once as glorious as Jiang Cha Cha, or even more so. This is true.

Who would believe that she was a fake daughter, that she was banished to the countryside by the Jiang family like trash, and that Mr. Jiang was willing to let her freeze to death on the street for his precious daughter?

Jiang Ranran scrolled to the bottom of the phone's address book and dialed the number that was most familiar to him five years ago.

"Hello, this is the Jiang family. Who is this? What can I do for you?" It was the nanny who answered the phone.

"My name is Jiang Ranran, I'm looking for Mr. Jiang."

The nanny came to the Jiang family after she left, so she didn't know Jiang Ranran. Perhaps because she heard her last name was Jiang, she didn't ask any more questions. "Please wait."

After a while of silence, there were footsteps approaching, and Jiang Ranran heard someone pick up the phone.

"I didn't expect you still had the Jiang family's number. You should have left City A by now. Dad put a lot of effort into getting you to leave."

Unexpectedly, the person who answered the phone was Jiang Cha Cha. Not wanting to listen to her sarcastic voice, I immediately retorted.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I won't leave."

After saying that, he hung up the phone without caring what Jiang Cha Cha wanted to say.

Jiang Ranran didn't know how long Gu Tingchen could let them stay. After all, if they stayed in the presidential suite without paying, it would be a loss for the hotel.

She had to find a place to move as soon as possible.

After listening to Gu Tingchen, I asked the manager for ice to apply to my sprained ankle yesterday.

The next morning, the swelling had indeed subsided and I could walk normally.

The whole journey was very happy, except when I met Jiang Cha Cha in the company lobby.

Yesterday she hung up the phone after saying her last sentence, and I don’t know how angry Jiang Cha Cha was.

Seeing her gloomy face, she must be very angry.

Yesterday, Jiang Cha Cha happened to be in the living room and saw the nanny answer the phone.

After asking, she found out that the person who called was Jiang Ranran, and he was looking for Mr. Jiang.

After listening to the nanny's story, she stopped the nanny and answered the phone herself.

She couldn't help but feel happy when she thought of Jiang Ranran having nowhere to live and sleeping on the streets. It was just the right time for her to mock her. But she hadn't expected Jiang Ranran to still be in City A. Faced with Jiang Ranran's provocation, she angrily slammed the phone and told the nanny not to answer any calls from this number in the future.

It turned out that Jiang Cha Cha asked Jiang Zhen to find a way to let Jiang Ranran leave City A. At first, Jiang Zhen disagreed, but he couldn't persuade her and started to act coquettishly and cry.

She said that Jiang Ranran was against her everywhere in the company and was competing with her for Gu Tingchen. She said that if she couldn't marry Tingchen, she would never marry again.

When Jiang Zhen heard this, he felt sorry for his daughter, and secondly, he had always hoped to become an in-law of the Gu family.

The Gu family is a well-known and prestigious family in City A, and Gu Tingchen is the most outstanding among the children of the upper-class wealthy families in City A.

As long as Jiang Cha Cha marries Gu Tingchen, his Jiang family's position in City A will be consolidated, and the family will continue to prosper, which will be even more beneficial to the company.

That's why he agreed to Jiang Cha Cha and spent a lot of money to do this.

She thought that since all of Jiang Ranran's roads were blocked and she had nowhere to go, she would definitely take her children back to the countryside overnight.

Jiang Cha Cha was happy about this for the whole afternoon. As soon as Jiang Ranran left, Brother Tingchen only had eyes for her.

But she didn't expect that the phone call she received in the evening would make her happy for nothing.

"It's like a dog-skin plaster. No matter how hard you try, you can't get rid of it."

"The more you don't want to see me, the more I want to live well in front of you."

If Jiang Cha Cha and Jiang Zhen hadn't pushed her to death, she would have forgotten Jiang Cha Cha's actions because of the kindness they showed her in raising her. But now, that ridiculous kindness seemed worthless to them.

"One day, I'll let you go on your own."

"I'll wait."

After working for a whole morning, I wanted to stand up and move around, so I went to the tea room to get some water.

"Jiang Ranran? Yeah, he's been promoted so quickly since he came to the company. It turns out he was just being a mistress."

"Didn't someone tell me that when she first came? I was suspicious then. And she doesn't just have one daughter, she has three children. I really can't tell."

The scene seems familiar. It turns out that the tea room is a great place to chat and listen to gossip.

Every time she hears a new topic, and coincidentally she is the protagonist.

Apart from making a fuss about her child, these people seem to have nothing new to say.

She walked in calmly to get some water. The women were chatting happily and no one noticed her come in.

Jiang Ranran turned her back, drinking water and listening to them talking about her.

"Don't be fooled by her poor attire. She's picked up and dropped off by luxury cars every day, and lives in a mansion bought for her by a wealthy sponsor." A luxury car? Living in a mansion? These people have incredible imaginations. How could she not know that she even knows the sponsor?

Well...Gu Tingchen counts, at least I know him.

"Yes, yes, yes. I saw her leaving with an older man that day." Did you see that in a dream?

"I know who that man is, but I can't tell you. After all, it's someone else's private matter." He brought it up even though he knew it was private.

Jiang Ranran squeezed in beside her and asked curiously: "It's okay, I don't mind. I'm also curious about who that man is?" When the women saw it was her, they were stunned.

"Did you see it with your own eyes? What did that man look like?"

I didn't expect Jiang Ranran to be so frank, and looked like she was really curious to know.

The women were speechless and dispersed in a swarm.

"Hey, don't leave. You haven't told me yet."

What a pity, I only heard half of the gossip and it affected my mood.

Gu Tingchen planned to hold an emergency meeting in the afternoon to discuss the investment project with City B.

He asked Jiang Ranran to be prepared and come to explain when the time comes, and then he would promote her to project manager in front of the senior management.

I didn't expect that what he said yesterday about promotion and salary increase was not a joke.

She was very happy at the thought of getting a promotion and a raise, and earning more money, so Jiang Ranran took it very seriously and prepared for the meeting carefully. She checked repeatedly to see if there were any deficiencies, and then went to the printer to print out the document with satisfaction.

She had been busy and had no lunch.

I passed by the tea room and wanted to make a cup of coffee to refresh myself, so I put the printed documents on the coffee table.

As expected, it is a big company. The coffee beans used to make coffee are all high-quality commercial beans. They are made by mixing single-origin beans of different flavors in proportion. It is convenient and the taste is stable. I took a big sip and the taste is rich and delicate.
