Chapter 90 Dad

Chapter 90 Dad

"You're here?" Huang Jiangjiang stood up and said with a smile when he saw Yang Ke.

"Jiang Jiang, today I still need you to help me look after Anan." Yang Ke felt a little embarrassed. She had troubled Huang Jiang Jiang many times, and in the end she still had to trouble her.

I thought my life was good now and I wouldn't bother her anymore.

Huang Jiangjiang didn't care. Anan was well-behaved and cute. Just sitting there quietly could attract customers to the store.

And as Anan's godmother, she might find this troublesome.

"What would you like to drink or eat today?" Huang Jiangjiang pulled Anan in front of him, squatted down and asked him at eye level.

Anan looked at her and smiled, "I want to read the book from yesterday."

"Okay." Huang Jiangjiang said as he picked him up, "Hurry up and go to work, or you'll be late."

"Uh-huh."

Lu Chengyi watched from a distance as Yang Ke gave the child to Huang Jiangjiang and then left. He looked at Yang Ke's back and then at the child in the coffee shop.

Finally he made a decision and went to see the child.

After Anan looked at his mother far away, he sat at a high table near the road with a book in his hand.

He was only three years old and didn't know much, but he was reading a cartoon comic book and he read the characters in it carefully.

Next to him is a sketchbook and a pen. When he sees a character he likes, he chooses to take the pen and draw his favorite character.

The store opened in the morning and there was a lot of traffic.

After Lu Chengyi ordered a cup of coffee, he came over and sat down next to Anan. He looked at him from time to time, but Anan was so absorbed in painting that he didn't even notice that there was someone sitting next to him.

Lu Chengyi looked at the ugly painting he drew and said nothing, "Sir, your coffee." Huang Jiangjiang placed the coffee in front of him.

"Thank you." Lu Chengyi thanked him politely and took a sip from the cup. "Uncle, do you know this word?" Anan pointed at the word in the book and asked Lu Chengyi by the corner of his clothes. Lu Chengyi took a look and said, "I like it when I read it."

"Like." Anan read carefully. In order to understand it better, he wrote the word "like" stroke by stroke in his sketchbook.

"What about this?" Anan would underline the words he didn't know how to read with a pencil and wait for others to explain them to him.

"Excited." Lu Chengyi said after taking a look.

Excited, Anan remembered silently, and after writing down his likes, he wrote down the excitement.

"Thank you." Anan looked up at him and smiled. After getting acquainted with him, he silently picked up the pencil and started drawing his little man.

Lu Chengyi looked at him carefully. His profile looked a lot like his childhood. "Didn't you learn all these characters?"

I just noticed that there were several words marked with pencil in this book. Those were probably words he didn't recognize.

"Although I really want to know everything, it's not good to keep asking you, uncle." Anan raised his head and said seriously.

"My mom said that I shouldn't bother other people. I can ask her about these words after she gets off work."

Looking at his cute appearance, Lu Chengyi couldn't help but reach out and touch his head, and said with a smile: "Uncle is free now, you can ask me if you have any questions."

"Is it really possible?" Anan was still a little hesitant.

"Sure, go ahead."

With his words, Anan did not hesitate to ask about the words he did not know. A three-year-old child does not know many words, and under Lu Chengyi's guidance, Anan successfully memorized and learned them.

"Let's stop here today, because you need to digest them." Lu Chengyi asked him to read the words he had just taught him several times and write them down in his notebook.

Lu Chengyi looked at his little face and the more he looked, the more he felt that he looked a bit like him when he was a child. To confirm, he took out his cell phone and sent a text message to his mother.

【Cheng Yi: Mom, send me a photo of me when I was a kid. 】

Mrs. Lu, who was doing yoga while watching TV, felt a little strange when she saw the news about her son.

She took the phone and sent him a voice message. Lu Chengyi, who received the message, silently clicked on the voice-to-text function.

What do you want those photos for?

Lu Chengyi replied quickly.

【Cheng Yi: Something’s wrong, hurry up, mom.】

Mrs. Lu had no choice but to send it to him. Looking at the photo of himself as a child, standing at the door wearing a black suit and holding a teddy bear in his arms, he looked at his own photo for a few seconds and then at Anan. There was a certain resemblance between them.

"Little boy, how old are you?" Lu Chengyi stirred the coffee and took a sip, feeling a little nervous.

"I'm three years old." Anan counted on his fingers and said, "Well... Mom said that I will be four in another month."

Talking about his birthday, Anan's face was full of joy. "By then, Anan will be four years old and can go to kindergarten and make friends."

"Three years old." Lu Chengyi just smiled and touched his head lovingly. It has been exactly three years since Ke'er left her, and he is now three years old, so the timing is somewhat right.

At this moment, a thought arose from the depths of his heart: Could Anan be the child of Ke'er and him?

This thought brought a smile to Lu Chengyi's face. He covered his mouth with his hands for fear that Anan would notice something.

Lu Chengyi sat here until noon. Anan had been painting here all morning. "Anan, what would you like to eat for lunch today?" Huang Jiangjiang shouted at him.

Anan looked at her and said, "Auntie Huang, I will eat whatever you eat today."

"Okay." Huang Jiangjiang said, "Remember to call me Huang Ganma next time."

"Okay, Aunt Huang."

Watching the conversation between the two, Lu Chengyi took a sip of the completely cold coffee, which didn't taste very good.

"Who is that to you?"

"My mother's friend. My mother said she was destined to be my godmother before I was born." Anan answered every question without any vigilance. But how could a three-year-old child be vigilant?

Moreover, there was a camera right above the seat where he was sitting, so Huang Jiangjiang was too busy to leave and was not afraid that someone would kidnap him.

No one would be so bold as to run into a store and kidnap a child.

"Who is your mother? I haven't seen her for so long?" Lu Chengyi said as he looked around.

"My mother has to go to work to support the family," said Anan.

"It's to support the family." Lu Chengyi corrected him for using the wrong word. He paused and asked the answer he wanted to know today, "What about your father?"

Hearing the word "Dad", Anan was stunned. He looked at Lu Chengyi and said in confusion: "Dad? Didn't Dad leave?"

"Wasn't my father taken away by someone called... called... called God when I was born?"
