125. Chapter 125 Awkward

Ying Sisi took a detour into the restaurant.

Lao Zhao was about to order some river clams. "You've arrived just in time. I'll order a hundred pounds of the river clams I mentioned earlier. The price is one yuan per pound, which is more expensive than the fish we buy from the market. What do you think? I'd also like some peaches if you have any."

"No more." Ying Sisi revealed the upcoming inspection: "You should also restrain yourself for a while. If you get caught, the restaurant will put all the blame on you, and you'll be in trouble."

"Where did you get this news? Are you trying to scare me? I can't stand being scared." Old Zhao laughed.

Ying Sisi said seriously, "I'm not kidding. This news is very reliable. If it weren't for our close friendship, I wouldn't bother to tell you. You don't have to believe it, but don't cry if you lose your job."

Old Zhao finally took it seriously. "Okay, thanks for the reminder. Are the pickles good? Do you like Laba garlic?"

"It's delicious. I love it. Why? You want to give it to me?"

Old Zhao smiled again: "Wait, I'll get it for you."

"Okay." Ying Sisi accepted it happily, not wanting to miss it.

Old Zhao went back to the kitchen and brought out a glass jar filled with crystal green garlic cloves.

Ying Sisi took the jar, thanked him and said goodbye, then rushed home. The lights in the living room were on.

She put the glass jar down and was taking off her coat when Qin Yanci walked out of the guest room. "Delivering something so late? Did they give you a hard time?"

"No, when I was coming back, I passed by Su Gongfu Restaurant specifically to order two delicious dishes for tomorrow. I met Lao Zhao and chatted with him. He gave me some Laba garlic, so I didn't get to order the dishes in the end." Ying Sisi said half-truthfully.

Qin Yanci looked at the glass jar and said, "Can you give this to me? I can give it to my tutor. He was complaining to his wife today about running out of Laba garlic at home. His wife said it was too late and she didn't want to make any more. I thought I'd prepare a jar. The ones you buy outside definitely won't taste as good as the ones used by restaurants to entertain guests."

"Of course." Ying Sisi agreed generously. She put the food in a cloth bag and placed it on the dining table: "Don't forget it when you leave tomorrow."

"Yeah." Qin Yanci paused and said, "I bought some medicinal wine. Take off your clothes and wipe it off."

"Oh, it's just a touch. It's not as serious as you think. Why use medicinal wine?" Ying Sisi said this, but lifted up her clothes with her hands.

Her skin, once red, now returned to its original whiteness. A little embarrassed, she silently lowered her skirt. "Ahem, I told you it wasn't serious. Look, it's all healed." Alas, with her body's resilience, she couldn't even pretend to be weak. She added, "It hurts a little inside, maybe I'll rub it with some medicinal wine." She couldn't let someone's kindness go to waste, could she?

"Okay, just bear with it." Qin Yanci moved cautiously.

Apply alcohol on a towel to her skin and Ying Sisi pretends to scream.

"Does it hurt? I haven't even started pressing yet."

Ying Sisi: “.”

“.”

After applying the medicinal wine, Ying Sisi took a rest. The next day, she went to the morning market and bought two pounds of pork. She planned to go into the woods to pick some wild vegetables and peaches, but finally gave up.

Now she has enough food and drink.

There is no need to run dozens of miles for a few bites of game.

It’s better to stay at home and knit a scarf for Qin Yanci.

When she was halfway through knitting the scarf, there was a knock on the door: "Is anyone home? I'm from the post office."

Ying Sisi thought it was a letter from her father-in-law: "Please put it in through the crack of the door."

"It can't be stuffed in. It's a package."

Ying Sisi had no choice but to open the door.

The guy at the post office handed over the receipt and said, "Please sign this."
