The corners of his lips curled slightly, and he thought to himself, what a little fox.
"Okay, I have a lawyer friend. I'll contact him when I get back."
"Thank you, Mr. Qin." Ning Xi thanked him again.
"You're welcome." When Ning Xi returned home, she saw a tall and strong male "neighbor".
But before she could thank him, the neighbor hurriedly said goodbye and left.
Ning Xi: “???”
I always feel like something is wrong.
Watching the neighbor leave, she asked Qin Yan, "Is he the neighbor who lives next door?"
Qin Yan's eyes flickered slightly, and he said, "It's upstairs."
"Oh..." Ning Xi always felt something was strange, but Shuo Shuo had already rushed over and hugged her, successfully diverting her attention.
"It's okay, Shuo Shuo, don't worry." Ning Xi picked him up and no longer had time to think about the neighbors.
The next day, Ning Xi called Officer Shao and decided to withdraw the lawsuit.
Although Officer Shao was surprised, he didn't say anything.
After the call, Ning Xi composed herself, changed into home clothes, tied her hair into a bun, and started cleaning the house.
Qin Yan didn't go out today. When he came out of the room, he saw her busying around, and Shuo Shuo followed behind her like a little tail. The two of them talked and laughed, making the house more lively.
During lunch, Ning Xi saw that Qin Yan didn't seem to be going out today, so she asked, "Mr. Qin, are you free later?"
Qin Yan looked up at her and said, "Yes."
"Can you do me a favor? The desk I bought and some other deliveries have arrived, but they're at the delivery point at the entrance of the community. I need to move them back, and I'd like you to drive me a little."
"Can."
So, after lunch, the two took Shuo Shuo downstairs and went directly to the basement. They drove to the gate of the community to help Ning Xi move all the things she had found into the trunk, and then drove back.
The desk was not small and was made entirely of wood. Ning Xi and Qin Yan moved it twice before they were able to move it all back, filling up the entire living room.
Looking at the packages all over the floor, Ning Xi rolled up his sleeves and got to work, skillfully unpacking the packages and preparing for assembly.
Qin Yan poured a glass of water from the kitchen and saw her bending over to open a package. Because of the angle, he could see her slender neck, and because of her bending over, her fair and slender waist was exposed under the slim T-shirt around her waist.
His eyes darkened slightly, and Qin Yan looked away and asked, "Do you still need my help?"
Ning Xi was stunned and looked up and asked, "Aren't you busy?"
"Um."
"Then..." She looked at the express packages scattered all over the floor, "That's going to be troublesome!"
It’s free manpower, why not use it?
Qin Yan didn't say anything else and rolled up his sleeves to help her drive the express delivery.
…
On the highway outside the city, Qin Yun took his daughter to the Qin family's old house.
The Qin family has deep roots in H City, but they are very low-key. Their old house is located far outside H City, among the mountains and bamboo trees.
After the car drove into a bamboo forest and passed a mountain road, it entered a large manor.
As soon as the car stopped, the housekeeper came forward, had someone help Qin Yun down, and then pushed her wheelchair himself.
"Where's Grandpa?"
"The old man is in the vegetable garden. Knowing that you brought Miss Zeng here, he said he wanted to pick some vegetables he grew for you to try." The housekeeper said respectfully.
"Then let's go over and take a look. Nian Nian misses her great-grandfather too," Qin Yun said.
The housekeeper understood, turned around and pushed her wheelchair onto a small path, around the large house, and to a field at the foot of the mountain.
A little old man with silver hair, a thin figure, but vigorous spirit, is working hard in the vegetable garden.
"Grandpa!" Qin Yun put his hands on his mouth and made a trumpet gesture, shouting loudly.
Hearing this, the old man stood up and looked at her, and then a few wrinkles from laughing appeared on his dark face.
Old Master Qin was wearing a sun hat, carrying a basket, a short white jacket and black trousers, and carrying a muddy hoe on his shoulder.
He looks more like a country old man than a real country old man.
"You look good. My little Nian Nian has grown up." When Old Master Qin came to them, he handed all the equipment to the housekeeper, then took the towel to wipe his hands before picking up the six-month-old little Nian Nian.
"Grandpa seems to be in a good mood. It seems that the vegetable harvest has been quite good recently!" Qin Yun said with a smile.
"Haha, girl, you really understand me." Old Master Qin laughed vigorously.
"Of course, it's because grandparents are close to each other." Qin Yun followed suit.
Old Master Qin had two sons and one daughter. His eldest son and daughter-in-law died young, leaving behind two grandchildren, Qin Yun and Qin Yan. His second son and his family also had two sons, and his third daughter also had a grandson and granddaughter. But if you want to name the most favorite youngster in the family, it has to be Qin Yun.
"You, you're such a sweet talker!" Old Master Qin said with a smile, shaking Nian Nian in his arms again, and then said, "Where's that kid Qin Yan? Why didn't he come with you?"
Qin Yun's eyes flickered slightly, and then he sighed, "Alas, he should be at home with his wife."
Old Master Qin suddenly stopped teasing Nian Nian and looked down at her in surprise.
The old butler beside him had the same expression, and even dropped the basket in his hand.
"What did you say just now? What is that kid doing?" Old Master Qin wondered if he had heard it wrong. The grandson that even female cats disliked, he had a wife?!
"Accompany my wife, Grandpa, Xiao Yan is getting married! I was the matchmaker!" Qin Yun knew that the old man would have this expression, and he said with a proud look on his face.
Seeing that his granddaughter's expression didn't seem like she was lying, Old Master Qin's brows immediately lit up with joy. "Whose family is this girl from? What does she do? Why don't you bring her here to meet people? Are you really married?"
The old man asked questions in rapid succession, and Qin Yun did not hide anything and told him about Ning Xi's situation.
