It was just dawn.
There were a few loud and high-pitched crowing sounds coming from outside the house, but I didn’t know whose rooster was ready to be braised.

The two prepared to go into the mountains.
The road into the mountain was the same one that she had taken to pick mushrooms before. Jiang Yan had walked there twice and was relatively familiar with it.
Although Lu Yunsheng often led his troops on training marches in the mountains and was very familiar with the area, his purpose was to protect Jiang Yan, so naturally he would do whatever Jiang Yan said.
The villagers were very curious when they saw the two people coming from afar.

The two nodded repeatedly.
