Chapter 3 A Good Start

"Admit it, your dad is a jerk and he doesn't care about you and your mean mom."

Jiang Yan revealed the wound in her heart in just a few words. Jiang Mo was hit hard, but he still pretended to be calm and said, "I won't tell you."

You can't wake up a person who is pretending to be asleep. Some words should just be said briefly; saying too much will have no effect.

If literary means don’t work, then try force.

Jiang Yan held up five fingers and slowly said in front of Jiang Mo's blank gaze: "I'll give you five dollars as a reward. I won't tell Jiang Yuan and Ye Chunlan about this."

Five dollars.

Jiang Mo's eyes lit up. Although the Jiang family had some savings, she was still in high school and Ye Chunlan was a stingy person, so she had no pocket money at all.

Five dollars is a lot of money for her.

Jiang Mo rolled his eyes, looked at Jiang Yan and said loudly, "Not enough, you have to give me ten yuan."

Seeing Jiang Mo's reaction, Jiang Yan knew that she had given too much. She subconsciously felt that these five dollars would not be much different from the future.

In fact, five dollars now is quite powerful in terms of purchasing power alone.

In later times, a pound of pork cost more than ten yuan, but now it costs only seventy or eighty cents, and meat dishes in state-owned restaurants cost only twenty or thirty cents.

An apprentice in a factory earns 28 yuan a month, while an ordinary farmer only earns a few dozen yuan a year, while those in good villages and communities can earn up to 100 yuan.

Five dollars is a lot of money.

Hearing this, Jiang Yan sneered, "Are you worth that much money?"

"Now you are begging me, not me begging you."

Jiang Mo was being a scoundrel, but Jiang Yan was even more of a scoundrel than her, "Then go marry Lu Yunsheng."

After saying that, Jiang Yan buried her head in eating the egg noodles in her bowl.

Jiang Mo was so angry that her face turned red, but she had no choice. Since she didn't want to marry that old man Lu Yunsheng, she could only agree to Jiang Yan's request.

Thinking of this, Jiang Mo was like a deflated ball, "I'll get it for you."

"Well, go ahead."

Jiang Yan didn't even raise her head as she bit off a large piece of fried egg, her face showing a very satisfied expression.

Jiang Mo looked at her with a ruthless look in his eyes and said, "You are so proud now, but you will suffer if you go to the South. It would be best if you catch a cold and die."
