Chapter 105 Are you... alright?

"Yes, Mom is a lucky person, so don't worry too much, An'an," Mo Jingchen, sitting in the passenger seat, turned around to comfort An Yiruo.

The car soon stopped in front of the hospital. As soon as the door opened, the cold air outside rushed in, causing An Yiruo to instinctively pull her clothes tighter.

"Are you cold?" Mo Jingchen noticed An Yiruo's little movement and pulled her into his arms, wanting to give her some warmth.

"Yeah, I just got out of the car, it's a bit cold. The temperature has really dropped a lot these past few days. If it drops a few more degrees, I'm afraid I'll have to wear a down jacket!"

"After we see the doctor, I'll take you to buy some warm clothes. We'll also buy a few for Mom while we're at it," Mo Jingchen said, tightening his grip on An Yiruo, wanting to transfer his warmth to her.

"Let's go in and see what the doctor says," An Yiruo said, then secretly glanced at her mother. Seeing her mother looking at her, she felt a little guilty for some reason, so she reached out and took her mother's arm and quickly walked into the hospital.

"Jingchen, which floor should we go to?" An Yiruo didn't know which doctor he had an appointment with, so she didn't know the floor of the doctor's office.

"It's the same ward as last time. Let's go." Mo Jingchen led the way, with An Yiruo and her mother following closely behind. They entered the elevator, which was packed with people who had come to the hospital for treatment.

Some people wanted to squeeze onto the elevator, so they had to push and shove. As they pushed and shoved, An Yiruo stood in front of her mother and asked, "Mom, are you alright?"

An Yiruo stood protectively in front of her mother, while Mo Jingchen stood protectively in front of An Yiruo, saying, "An'an, just bear with it, we'll be there soon."

Mo Jingchen's words seemed to be addressed to An Yiruo, but also to himself. Mo Jingchen was a germaphobe, disliked being touched by outsiders, and was also allergic to other women.

But now, all sorts of people kept pouring into the elevator. Although Mo Jingchen was in pain, he was even more afraid that An Yiruo would get hurt. He could only grit his teeth and forcefully hold An Yiruo in his arms.

"Are you... alright?" An Yiruo asked, trying to find a gap in Mo Jingchen's arms to look up at him.

"I'm fine." Mo Jingchen's brows were furrowed, and his expression was solemn. Those who knew him knew that he was already at his limit of endurance!

"Otherwise, I'll protect you all again." An Yiruo saw that Mo Jingchen's role wasn't very good, but thinking about what he had said before, she was now somewhat inclined to believe him.

"It's alright, stand still."

As the elevator ascended, the number of people decreased, and there weren't many people going to the top floor. Besides the three of them, there was only one doctor, making the space much more spacious.

"There are just too many people seeking medical treatment at this hospital," An Yiruo said, taking a deep breath as she stood to the side.

“An’an, this is the most authoritative hospital in the entire A City. Patients with all kinds of difficult and complicated diseases come here for treatment, so it’s natural that there are many people,” An’an’s mother explained from the side.

"Yes, Mom. We're here." As the elevator doors opened, the three of them stepped out and headed straight for the ward.

This was the first time An's mother had come to such a ward to wait for the doctor to come and examine her. The room didn't feel like a hospital, but rather like a resort hotel.

"Mr. Mo, we had just finished a surgery. We apologize for keeping you waiting." The voice came from outside. A middle-aged man entered, followed by several doctors in white coats.

"fine."

"Thank you, doctor, please examine my mother," An Yiruo said politely as she stepped forward.

"You're too kind. Please have a seat, Madam. I'll do a routine check-up first."

After the doctor's examination, he ordered several additional tests and instructed his men to take An's mother with him.

"Jingchen, An'an, you two wait for me here, don't follow me." An'an's mother didn't want to have a check-up, so she went with a large group of people.

"Mom, let Jingchen stay here, I'll go with you. I'm worried about you going alone," An Yiruo said, not expecting her mother to say that, and still refusing to go along with her mother's suggestion.

"I'm just going for a checkup, it's nothing serious. You two wait here for me, I'll be right back."

“No, I have to go with you!” An Yiruo’s attitude was firm, and she did not budge an inch.

"Jingchen, wait for me here, I'll be right back," An Yiruo said to Mo Jingchen, then took her mother's arm and left the ward.

"You know, I'm not a child anymore. It's just a checkup, what's there to worry about?" After leaving the ward, An's mother pretended to scold An Yiruo.

"Auntie, your daughter is so filial, you are truly blessed," the doctor who was with them couldn't help but say, looking at them.

"Yes, my daughter is the most filial," said An's mother, holding An Yiruo's hand tightly as they went with the doctor for a checkup.

Inside the ward, Mo Jingchen dialed the hospital director's number.

"Mr. Mo."

"Dean, the Mo family has invested a lot in the hospital over the years, so why are the hospital elevators still so crowded?" Mo Jingchen dialed the phone and got straight to the point.

"This... is because there are too many patients coming to the hospital on weekdays. But the number of elevators in our hospital can handle the daily load," the hospital director said, adjusting his glasses on the other end of the phone.

"Oh? Can you really handle it?"

Faced with Mo Jingchen's question, the dean didn't know how to answer. He also didn't know why Mo Jingchen had called him today just about such a small matter as the elevator.

"Mr. Mo, right now, if we want to add a new elevator to the hospital, firstly, there's no space to install it, and secondly, we really don't have the manpower or resources!" the hospital director continued.

"Does the dean feel that the investment from the Mo family is insufficient?"

"No, Mr. Mo, the amount of money you inject into the hospital every year is more than enough. It's just that... As for the elevator, I'll arrange for someone to take care of it right away." The hospital director wanted to say something more, but then suddenly remembered that Mo Jingchen had come to the hospital today.

"Alright, then I'll trouble you, Dean. I hope this matter can be resolved as soon as possible. If you encounter any difficulties, please feel free to contact the Mo Group." Mo Jingchen said before hanging up the phone. He continued to wait for An Yiruo and her mother to return from their checkups.

After hanging up the phone, the dean was still somewhat puzzled. Could it be that President Mo's visit today happened to coincide with peak hours, and the elevator was so crowded that it displeased our CEO?

"Come in for a moment," the dean said, dialing his secretary's number.

"Dean, you wanted to see me."

"Go check the surveillance footage and see when Mr. Mo arrived at the hospital this morning and which elevator he took. Once you've found it, send me the video."

"Yes, Dean."
