Chapter 129 An Zhengrong's Sudden Appearance!

"Let's eat!" An Yiruo picked up her chopsticks, looking impatient.

"Eat slowly, be careful it's hot."

"You don't understand, hot pot is meant to be eaten piping hot," An Yiruo said, then picked up another piece of food with her chopsticks and put it into her bowl, eating with great relish.

"The photos today are beautiful," Mo Jingchen said casually while picking up some food.

"Yeah, you think it looks great too, right? It's all thanks to photographer Dong Cheng."

"Dong Cheng?"

"Yeah, it's one of our colleagues in the operations department. He's been getting quite close to Yuanyuan lately. I wonder if he's interested in her, hehe."

While eating, An Yiruo shared her thoughts with Mo Jingchen.

If Dong Cheng really has feelings for Yuan Yuan, that's not bad. They're colleagues, which is better than her weird blind dates.

However, from a man's perspective, Mo Jingchen knew that Dong Cheng was definitely not interested in that Zhang Yuanyuan.

Duke Zhuang's sword dance was aimed at Duke Pei. He never believed that anyone would abandon a beauty like An Yiruo to approach the carefree Zhang Yuanyuan.

Mo Jingchen's heart tightened, and he said with certainty, "You have feelings for your colleague? I don't think so."

Mo Jingchen's words conveyed an air of complete understanding of Dong Cheng's little tricks.

"What else could it be? I've barely spoken a few words to him, could it be that he's interested in me?"

Mo Jingchen listened to An Yiruo's slightly joking remark but did not respond immediately; instead, he fell into deep thought.

Hearing the silence from the person sitting opposite her, An Yiruo picked up the Coke next to her, took a sip, looked at Mo Jingchen, and continued, "What's wrong? Is our CEO... jealous?"

Who's jealous?

"Hmph. But as the president of the Mo Group, it's still quite cute when he's jealous."

"I said no, don't make wild guesses."

"Hmph."

An Yiruo found Mo Jingchen's expression somewhat amusing, but she didn't say anything further and lowered her head to eat.

But Mo Jingchen's mood wasn't so light at the moment. Was he jealous? Perhaps.

But more than anything, it was that blurry figure he saw standing in his office today.

He could vaguely make out a young man with a decent build! However, he couldn't see his face clearly.

Looking back, An Yiruo was just a college student who hadn't yet graduated.

If a young man of similar age appeared in her life, would she...?

Thinking about this, for the first time in his thirty-year career, Mo Jingchen felt a sense of crisis!

Sigh, if only I could be a few years younger... This was what Mo Jingchen was thinking at that moment!

"I'm so full," An Yiruo said, letting out a burp and rubbing her round belly.

"Does my belly look like a pregnant woman's right now?" An Yiruo said jokingly, touching her belly.

"Is Madam Mo... implying something?"

Hint? What? An Yiruo thought for a few seconds before realizing what he meant by pregnancy!

"No, I'm still young."

An Yiruo's casual remark made Mo Jingchen feel disgusted by his age again.

"Let's go, Madam Mo. You need to move around a bit after eating so you don't get indigestion."

"I can't walk anymore, I'm so full," An Yiru pouted and shook her head in refusal.

"Get up quickly, be good."

"I don't want to," An Yiruo said lazily, leaning back in her chair.

An Yiruo sometimes has a problem: she gets sleepy after eating. The fuller she is, the more sleepy she feels.

"I want to sleep," An Yiruo said lazily, leaning back in her chair with her eyes closed.

"Really not going to get up?"

"I won't get up."

"Sure?"

"I'm sure." An Yiruo kept her eyes closed, leaning back in her chair, not really thinking about what Mo Jingchen meant by those words.

"If that's the case, then let's try a different kind of exercise."

After saying that, Mo Jingchen got up and walked to An Yiruo's side, then bent down and picked her up in his arms.

An Yiruo exclaimed in surprise, "Ah! Put me down!"

"Too late! Once you're on my pirate ship, don't even think about getting off!"

Mo Jingchen said this to An Yiruo, and also to himself.

In the spacious master bedroom, beautiful and harmonious sounds once again filled the air...

"Chen, it's the weekend tomorrow, I want to go to my mom's." An Yiruo lay in Mo Jingchen's arms, drawing circles on Mo Jingchen's chest with her finger.

"Okay. But I have a meeting tomorrow morning, so I can't come with you."

After saying that, Mo Jingchen grasped An Yiruo's restless little hand.

"Are you coming over after your meeting?"

"past."

"Then we'll wait for you to have dinner together."

"Okay, I'll have someone send food over tomorrow," Mo Jingchen said gently, kissing An Yiruo's forehead.

The next day, because it was the weekend, An Yiruo slept in early.

When An Yiruo woke up, she found that Mo Jingchen was no longer beside her.

After lingering in bed, I got up to wash and get ready before heading to my mother's place.

As soon as I got off the elevator, before I even stepped out of the elevator door, I heard a noisy commotion in the hallway, like someone was arguing.

An Yiruo recognized the voice and was certain it was her mother. She quickened her pace and, upon closer inspection, found it was An Zhengrong!

"An Zhengrong! What are you doing here?"

An Yiruo walked up to her mother, shielded her behind her, and looked at him warily.

“An’an, I am still your father, you can’t call me that.”

An Zhengrong stood opposite An Yiruo, his words carrying a hint of reproach.

"Ha, you severed that last bit of father-daughter bond between us long ago. What right do you have to claim to be my father now?"

An Yiruo looked at An Zhengrong in front of her with a disdainful expression.

An Zhengrong understood that An Yiruo was definitely angry with him because of what happened that day.

"An'an, what happened last time... it was all because your aunt had ulterior motives..."

“You dare say you knew nothing about it?” An Yiru interrupted his performance.

An Yiruo felt that saying anything more would be a waste of time.

So An Yiruo took a step back, went inside, grabbed the doorknob, pushed An Zhengrong away, and slammed the door shut.

"An'an, open the door, listen to me... An'an..." No matter how much An Zhengrong knocked on the door from the outside, An Yiruo did not respond at all.

"Is this the security office? There's someone harassing me at my doorstep, please handle it."

Annoyed by the constant knocking on the door, An Yiruo made a call to the security office.

"Mom, how did he find his way here?"

"I don't know how he found out where I live. When he knocked on the door today, I thought it was you, so I opened it without thinking. Who knew it was him!"
