Chapter 14 Tonight... You took the initiative?

"The Mo Group. No wonder he exudes such a powerful aura; it turns out he's the young master of the Mo family."

At this point, An's mother couldn't help but feel a little worried. After all, given An's current status, she was not a good match for Mo Jingchen. In wealthy families, it's important to be well-matched in terms of social standing, and she was worried that An's relationship with Mo Jingchen would not work out in the future.

"An'an, is he serious about you?"

Was Mo Jingchen serious about her? An Yiruo couldn't tell for a moment.

However, An Yiruo is certain that Mo Jingchen does not intend to divorce her in the short term.

"Mom, we're serious."

Hearing An Yiruo's affirmative answer, An's mother was still a little worried. Just as she was about to say something more, Mo Jingchen returned.

...

"Jingchen, over here," An Yiru waved to Mo Jingchen.

Mo Jingchen nodded, gave his phone number at the door, and was allowed to enter after the staff verified it.

After the three entered the supermarket, Mo Jingchen went to push a large shopping cart.

While browsing inside, An Yiruo looked at the items and gasped as they were all incredibly expensive. She realized that buying ingredients for this meal here would probably cost a fortune.

As a result, An Yiruo walked all the way but still found nothing.

"An'an, is there anything you want to eat?" Mo Jingchen asked An Yiruo.

"Mr. Mo, the things here are too expensive, I can't afford them," An Yiruo whispered to Mo Jingchen.

Mo Jingchen was amused by An Yiruo's words. His little wife was becoming more and more interesting. With a big CEO like him by her side, how could she not have money to buy food?

"Buy whatever you want to eat, I'll pay."

"This... isn't a good idea."

"To eat or not to eat?"

"eat"

Mo Jingchen paid the bill, so An Yiruo didn't intend to save him any money, since this meal was just a drop in the ocean for him.

An Yiruo put all the things she had just liked but couldn't bring herself to buy into her shopping cart.

Before long, the huge shopping cart was filled with items.

Mo Jingchen found it quite amusing to watch An Yiruo wandering among the shelves and carefully selecting items.

Before he could get his fill of looking, An Yiruo had already finished making her selections.

Is that all?

“Hmm, Mr. Mo, do you think this is too much? But you just agreed to let me buy this,” An Yiruo said, frowning as she looked at her shopping cart, like a protective mother hen.

"No, I just wanted you to choose more things. You're not home most of the time, so I wanted to buy more food for your aunt to keep at home."

An Yiruo never expected that Mo Jingchen would think of these things. Today, Mo Jingchen brought her too many different feelings.

"This is enough. Buying too much would be a waste if we couldn't finish it all. Besides, we can't let Mr. Mo spend too much money."

"Miss An, are you trying to save me money?"

"Judging from Mr. Mo's tone, it seems that it's not really necessary?" An Yiruo said, looking at Mo Jingchen.

“Indeed, there’s no need. Just pick whatever you want to eat. Now that you are my wife and the young mistress of the Mo family, you shouldn’t have to worry about money. It is my duty and my responsibility to support you.”

Upon hearing this, An Yiruo raised an eyebrow, then turned and walked to the shelf, taking out a few items.

Mo Jingchen pushed the shopping cart and followed behind An Yiruo.

Seeing the interaction between the two from a distance, Mother An's concerns lessened somewhat.

It seems that the young master of the Mo Group treats his daughter quite well.

Looking at the overflowing shopping cart, An Yiruo said to Mo Jingchen, "Mr. Mo, let's go back."

"good."

After they finished speaking, they went to pay the bill. When it came time to pay, Mother An insisted on paying, but Mo Jingchen beat her to it.

"Xiao Mo, it's not right to ask you to buy groceries," Mother An said somewhat embarrassedly.

"It's alright, Auntie, it's what I should do as a junior."

Then Mo Jingchen continued, "An'an, you and your aunt wait here for a while, I'll go and drive the car over."

"good."

After Mo Jingchen returned, he opened the car door, got out, put his things in the trunk, and after everything was tidied up, he started the car again and drove away.

After returning home, An's mother put all the ingredients into the kitchen: "You can play in the living room for a while, the food will be ready soon."

"Mom, let me help you," An Yiruo said, and was about to get up.

"No need, you just stay with Xiao Mo, don't come and cause trouble."

"Mom~", An Yiruo said somewhat awkwardly.

After Mrs. An went into the kitchen, Mo Jingchen said, "Miss An, it seems that your aunt doesn't want you to help."

An Yiruo rolled her eyes at him, then said:

“Mr. Mo, I told my mother about your identity, and she seemed a little hesitant,” An Yiruo told Mo Jingchen truthfully.

Now that the two of them have registered their marriage, although her mother doesn't know, she still wants to get her mother's consent first.

"It's alright, leave this to me, Miss An, you don't need to worry," Mo Jingchen said calmly to An Yiruo.

"Mr. Mo has already thought of his explanation?" An Yiruo asked doubtfully.

As the ancients said, "Heavenly secrets must not be revealed."

As the ancients said, "The most infuriating thing is to only say half of what you mean."

"If Miss An's Chinese teacher heard you say that, she would probably be so angry that she would come back and beat you up."

"No way. My Chinese teacher liked me the most when I was in school. She would never come back and beat me."

"So this is the basis for Miss An's nonsense?"

"There's no nonsense here. That's exactly how it is. Who ever tells a story in half-truths? Keeping people in suspense isn't something a big boss like you would do."

“Miss An, your attempts to provoke me won’t work. Why don’t you try a different approach? Perhaps I’ll consider telling you my thoughts.”

An Yiruo thought about it again and realized that Mo Jingchen was a seasoned businessman, and the business world was like a battlefield.

This little bit of provocation really couldn't get Mo Jingchen to tell the truth unless he was willing to do so himself.

However, An Yiruo's curiosity had been piqued, and not hearing an answer made her even more eager: "Mr. Mo, what kind of approach do you want me to take?"

“For example… you take the initiative tonight,” Mo Jingchen whispered, leaning his head close to An Yiruo’s ear.
