An Yiruo carefully put the drawings away and placed them in a bag.
He yawned, stretched, and twisted his slightly stiff neck.
This scene was witnessed by Mo Jingchen, who was returning from his study.
He quickly walked to An Yiruo's side and reached out to massage her shoulders.
Is this pressure okay?
"Hmm, use a little more force."
Mo Jingchen increased the pressure as he massaged An Yiruo's shoulders and then her neck.
After the massage, An Yiruo felt much better, and her muscles were no longer stiff and sore.
"Much better. Thank you," An Yiruo said, turning her head and twisting her shoulders a few times.
"Why are you being so polite with me? Are you going to take a shower?"
"I was just about to go. Are you done with your work?"
"Okay, go take a shower first," Mo Jingchen said, taking a new set of pajamas from the closet and handing it to An Yiruo.
"Then I'll take a shower first."
An Yiruo grabbed her pajamas and headed straight for the bathroom.
I went to the bathroom and filled the bathtub with water. I wanted to take a nice bath today to relieve the fatigue from drawing these past few days.
The moment An Yiruo lay down in the bathtub, she felt truly alive again. The hot water promoted blood circulation in her body, and her body became extremely relaxed.
The bathroom was filled with ethereal fragrance, and An Yiruo became drowsy while soaking in it.
After a long while, Mo Jingchen, who was sitting outside, noticed something was wrong. Why hadn't An Yiruo come out yet?
A little worried, she went over and knocked on the door: "An'an, are you done washing up?"
There was no sound from inside, so Mo Jingchen knocked on the door again: "An'an?"
Unable to get a response, Mo Jingchen simply used his key to unlock the door.
"An'an?" He called her name loudly the moment he opened the door.
Until I got to the bathtub and saw the woman... asleep in the tub!
Mo Jingchen shook his head helplessly, then quietly walked over, lifted her out of the bathtub, wrapped her in a towel, and carried her back to the bedroom in a princess carry.
Upon touching the soft, large bed, An Yiruo found a comfortable position and continued sleeping.
Helpless, Mo Jingchen went to find her clothes again and helped her put them on...
On Saturday morning, while everyone else was resting and sleeping in, An Yiru got up early and sat in front of her dressing table in the bedroom to review her design again to make sure there were no problems.
I quickly applied some light makeup to myself.
"Honey, why are you up so early?"
Mo Jingchen's hand, which had been trying to hug An Yiruo, missed its target. He stared half-openly at the person busy at the dressing table.
"Let's take another look at the design draft. After all, it's my first drawing."
Mo Jingchen rubbed his eyes, got up to wash up, and quickly got himself ready.
"Are you going to the company too?"
"No, I'll take you."
"I can go by myself. You can sleep a little longer."
"I can't sleep without you here. Let's get ready and go downstairs for breakfast."
An Yiruo nodded, took her things, and went downstairs to the restaurant hand in hand with Mo Jingchen.
“An’an, if that brat Lu Ze tries to take advantage of you, just tell me, and I’ll beat him up for you,” Mo Jingchen said, taking a sip of coffee and looking into An Yiruo’s eyes.
“Exploitation…maybe it’s a way to promote progress? Don’t worry, I can handle it.”
An Yiruo originally wanted to eat a few bites and leave, but Mo Jingchen wouldn't allow it.
They wouldn't let her leave until she had finished a steamed bun, a fried egg, and a glass of milk.
"Go inside. I'll pick you up later and take you home. Then we'll go out for something delicious," Mo Jingchen said, turning to look at An Yiruo in the passenger seat from the driver's seat.
"Okay, wish me luck today."
"Wishing my An'an all the best."
An Yiruo got out of the car and waved to Mo Jingchen: "You should go back now, drive carefully on the road."
"I love you," Mo Jingchen said, rolling down the car window and giving An Yiruo a heartfelt answer.
He then rolled up the car window again and drove away.
An Yiruo felt a flutter in her heart; she hadn't expected this man... to have this trick up his sleeve. She had to admit, he had managed to charm her.
Touching her slightly flushed face, she walked into Lu Ze's clothing studio.
"Good morning, sister-in-law."
"Good morning, Master Lu."
"No... Sister-in-law, please just call me Lu Ze. Master Lu... sounds like I'm seventy or eighty years old."
"Okay, then I'll still call you Lu Ze. I've already looked through all the materials you gave me, and this is my design drawing."
She didn't really care what she called him, but she felt that since she had become his disciple, she should at least call him "Master".
Since he wasn't willing to listen, she would just continue as before.
An Yiruo walked over, put her bag on the chair, and took out the drawing from the bag and handed it to Lu Ze.
"Have you finished reading all those materials? What did you learn?"
"All the lessons learned are in this design. Please feel free to offer your criticisms and suggestions." An Yiruo intertwined two fingers, revealing that she was still somewhat nervous.
Just like when I was in school, I wasn't nervous going to the exam hall, but I was nervous about the moment the results were released.
Lu Ze opened the folder and saw the blueprint inside; it was a ring.
The ring is made of ruby and surrounded by diamonds.
An Yiruo's design uses a classic style, but classic styles are often better able to convey a sense of understated luxury.
The perfect combination of the main diamond and the side diamonds gives this ring an overall feeling of composure and elegance.
Looking at the design drawings, Lu Ze thought that although they were a bit immature, it was still quite remarkable for a newcomer to have done such a thing.
"As a newcomer, this blueprint already surpasses many others. However, there is still much room for improvement."
"Yes. I will continue to work hard."
"These days, my sister-in-law has also copied a lot of the original paintings, and her painting style has obviously improved."
"I must say, sister-in-law, you are truly a chosen one in the jewelry world," Lu Ze exclaimed again.
"Lu Ze, that's too much."
"Believe me, this is not an exaggeration at all. Before you were involved, you didn't know where you were in the game."
"It's alright, once my sister-in-law produces a few more design drafts, I'll take your drawings and anonymously submit them to the competition. Then you'll understand what I mean."
When An Yiruo heard that she was going to participate in the competition, she immediately felt pressured.
"But don't be nervous, sister-in-law. I believe in you. If there's anything you don't understand, just come and ask me. I'll answer everything I know."
An Yiruo then looked through some other magazine materials, trying to find inspiration for herself.
When it comes to design, inspiration is key; with inspiration, even the best pen is useless.
An Yiruo's mind was racing at that moment, trying to come up with a development blueprint.
"Sister-in-law, don't worry too much. Just paint in the style you like."
Lu Ze sat opposite him drawing, watching An Yiruo constantly flipping through magazines, and couldn't help but remind her.
