Chapter 4 Checking into Xinghai Bay

After speaking, Mo Jingchen took out two folders, one for each person.

An Yiruo opened the agreement and looked at its contents, discovering that it contained the things Mo Jingchen had promised to do for her.

Several additional agreements were also written at the end, stipulating that during the marriage, both spouses must be absolutely loyal, not have any scandals, and fulfill their marital obligations.

This was the first time An Yiruo had ever seen someone include the words "fulfilling marital obligations" in an agreement, and she couldn't help but frown slightly, feeling rather unwilling.

But since they've already registered their marriage, and last night they... did that kind of thing, fulfilling their marital obligations is a responsibility she should bear.

"Mr. Mo, don't you want to add any other conditions to protect your rights?"

"Oh? Miss An, is there something you'd like me to add?" Mo Jingchen looked at An Yiruo with interest.

An Yiruo thought for a moment: "Don't you rich people all like to sign prenuptial agreements to protect your assets from being divided by others? If we ever separate in the future, I don't want to take advantage of you."

"If we do divorce in the future, with the capabilities of my legal team, Ms. An will not receive any property unless I voluntarily give it away."

"If we don't divorce, you'll be my wife, and the money I earn will naturally be for you to spend, so that agreement is unnecessary for me."

Mo Jingchen found his new wife quite interesting. Everyone else was trying to get something from him, but she was thinking of severing ties with him.

Listening to Mo Jingchen's words, An Yiruo thought about who Mo Jingchen was. He was a top-tier figure, and it would only take him a minute to crush someone.

She's just an ordinary citizen now, powerless and helpless, completely at his mercy.

"I also want to ask, if I never meet your requirements for the young mistress of the Mo family, will we get a divorce?"

Mo Jingchen frowned slightly: "I believe that with Miss An's intelligence, she will definitely be able to handle all the courses."

Mo Jingchen did not directly answer An Yiruo's question, which made An Yiruo think that if her requirements were not met, they would get a divorce.

Thinking that her marriage might not last long, An Yiruo felt somewhat dejected, and then said, "I have no problem with it, let's sign."

"Miss An is indeed straightforward."

After signing the papers, An Yiruo left Mo Jingchen's apartment. Before leaving, Mo Jingchen arranged for the housekeeper to record her fingerprints so that she could come and go as she pleased.

An Yiruo didn't know how she got back to school. She was still in a daze when she sat in her dormitory.

Her roommate noticed her absent-mindedness and patted her on the shoulder: "An'an, what's wrong? You look so distracted since you came back from outside?"

An Yiruo then came to her senses: "Ah? I might be a little tired. I'll rest for a bit."

"An'an, if something's wrong, you should tell us. Don't try to bear it all by yourself."

An Yiruo said with a smile, "Don't worry, I won't stand on ceremony with you."

After saying that, An Yiruo got up to pack her things and then said, "Dear roommates, I'm moving out soon. I'll treat you to dinner tonight. What would you like to eat?"

Li Mei, who lived in the bunk above her, suddenly said, "An'an, you're moving out? Why so suddenly?"

“My mom…has always been in poor health, and I want to go back to take care of her and also find a job or internship.”

An Yiruo didn't know how to tell everyone about her marriage, so she could only use her mother as a shield.

Moreover, her roommates had heard about her mother's situation and understood her difficulties. When they learned that she was moving out of the school, they didn't say much.

Li Mei quickly changed the subject: "How about we go eat crayfish? I know a new seafood barbecue stall opened near the school. It's very popular, and they have special offers during the opening period. Why don't we go try it tonight?"

Everyone thought Li Mei's suggestion was feasible and unanimously approved it.

After deciding where to eat, everyone started helping An Yiruo pack her things.

During her four years of university, An Yiruo was very frugal and didn't have much stuff; one suitcase was all she needed.

That evening, An Yiruo and her roommates drank and ate crayfish at a seafood stall.

Reluctant to part, the four of them ate their meal with unprecedented abandon.

Back in their dorm room, the four of them didn't go to sleep, but chatted all night.

They chatted about what happened during their four years of university, and talked about the embarrassing moments they had shared.

When they talked about funny things, the four of them could laugh out loud; when they talked about sad things, they could cry together.

This must be the friendship between roommates over four years of college.

The four chatted until dawn. After it was fully light, they went to have breakfast together. Only after breakfast did they truly part ways.

"An'an, be sure to keep in touch."

"An'an, remember to miss us."

"An'an, we must get together often when we have time."

An Yiruo looked at her three roommates, somewhat reluctant to leave. Tears welled in her eyes, but she stubbornly refused to let them fall.

After hugging the three of them, An Yiruo dragged her small suitcase and headed towards another stage of her life...

As soon as An Yiruo stepped out of the school gate, she received a phone call from an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Madam, hello, this is Xiao Zhang. The young master asked me to come and pick you up to go back to Xinghai Bay. The car is parked on the road opposite the school; it's a black Bentley."

After learning that this was Mo Jingchen's arrangement, An Yiruo was amazed by his thoughtfulness and said, "Okay, I understand."
