Extra: Mo Jingfei 3

"Sisi, come pick me up at the coffee shop on the corner of Fazhan Avenue. We were in a car accident on our way to the photography studio."

Mo Jingfei listened to the concise explanation of everything over the phone, but she didn't realize that the number she dialed wasn't her assistant Sisi, but Si Shao.

"It's me." The deep, worried voice on the other end of the phone was clearly not her assistant Sisi's voice.

Mo Jingfei took the phone away from her ear and only when she saw the name displayed in the call did she belatedly realize that she had dialed the wrong number.

"Excuse me, Brother Si, I dialed the wrong number. My assistant, Sisi, has a name very similar to yours."

Her assistant's name is Sisi, which has the same initials as Si Shao's name, so they are listed next to each other in Mo Jingfei's contact list.

In her haste, she dialed the number without even looking carefully, and Mo Jingfei felt a little embarrassed at that moment.

"Are you hurt?" Si Shao asked, grabbing his car keys and rushing out of the office.

"No, I'm not injured."

Hearing this, he felt a sense of relief: "Don't be afraid, just stay where you are and wait for me. Don't move, I'll be right there."

Mo Jingfei had no chance to refuse; Si Shao had already hung up the phone.

Upon learning of his arrival, for some reason, Mo Jingfei felt a sudden sense of reassurance...

Fifteen minutes later, Si Shao appeared in front of Mo Jingfei.

It should be noted that his company is quite a distance from where Mo Jingfei is located, so the fact that he arrived so quickly suggests that he must have sped over.

"Feifei, are you hurt? Is anything bothering you? Shall we go to the hospital for a check-up?" Si Shao asked worriedly.

"I'm fine, Brother Si, don't worry. It was just a rear-end collision. Someone hit our car from behind. I called Sisi because I was in a hurry to get to my event."

Mo Jingfei looked at the man in front of her and smiled lightly, reassuring him that she was not injured and was not feeling unwell.

"Let's go to the hospital to get checked out. I'm worried." Although Si Shao had doubts, she didn't seem to be lying based on her appearance and current mental state, but he was still worried that she might get hurt.

"No need, I'm really fine. Besides, I can't be late for my schedule today," Mo Jingfei said, and then twirled in front of him to prove that she was indeed not injured.

"I'll take you there. Send me the address. You can't refuse!"

Seeing that she was safe and sound, my heart finally settled down. I breathed a sigh of relief where she couldn't see me.

Mo Jingfei sat in the passenger seat of his car, but Si Shao remained eerily quiet the entire way, not uttering a single word.

Upon arriving at their destination, he said to Mo Jingfei, "I'll wait for you to finish your work."

"I think I won't finish work until very late today, you..."

"It's okay, I'll wait for you."

"Then I'll go upstairs first. Goodbye, Brother Si." Mo Jingfei couldn't quite figure out what the man in front of her was thinking, and went upstairs with a bit of doubt.

Inside the studio, Mo Jingfei was shooting the cover of the latest magazine issue, while downstairs, Si Shao's eyes revealed a determination he had never shown before.

At this moment, he knew clearly that he wanted to stand by Mo Jingfei's side legitimately and protect her legitimately.

When he heard about her "car accident" today, his mind went blank. He couldn't bear to think about what life would be like without her. So... to hell with his gentlemanly manners, all he knew was that he liked her and wanted to be with her.

At 11:30 p.m., Mo Jingfei came out of the photography studio looking a little tired. When she came out, she found that Si Shao was still in the same position, standing in front of the car, just like when he saw her off to work, seeing her off again.

"Brother Si...you...have you really been here all this time?"

"Feifei, I have something to tell you."

"What's wrong? Why are you so serious?" Mo Jingfei seemed to sense something, but it vanished in an instant, and she couldn't grasp that fleeting thought.

"Feifei, I swear, everything I'm about to say comes from the bottom of my heart. If I'm lying, may I be struck by lightning."

"Brother Si, why are you suddenly so serious?"

"Feifei, I know that what I'm saying might scare you, but I still have to say it."

I...I like you.

When Si Shao said those words, he nervously watched Mo Jingfei's expression.

However, since the words have already been spoken, it is only natural to see them through to the end. At worst, he and she will never see each other again.

However… I'm afraid I can't bring myself to never see her again. If she doesn't agree… then… I'll keep trying.

Thinking of this, he seemed less nervous and continued speaking:

"Feifei, don't rush to refuse. I know it's a bit abrupt of me to say this, but I'm serious."

Over the years, no woman has ever been able to enter my heart. You are the only one. I used to think that I had no desires in matters of the heart, until I met you, which made my once calm heart beat again.

But I also know that I'm a few years older than you, if you mind...

Before Si Shao could finish speaking, Mo Jingfei burst out laughing: "Brother Si, you look really cute right now."

She had never seen Si Shao like this before, looking both expectant and nervous, like a young man experiencing his first love.

"Feifei, what...do you mean by that?"

“It means exactly what it says,” Mo Jingfei suddenly thought, wanting to tease him.

Faced with his confession, Mo Jingfei felt no aversion; on the contrary, a voice deep inside her told her to "say yes."

"So... do I have a chance?" Si Shao had never been so anxious in his life.

That feeling of wanting to get the answer, yet fearing to get the answer, is just... too agonizing!

"Take me home, Brother Si," Mo Jingfei said with a smile, seemingly unrelated to the question.

"Okay." Although Si Shao really wanted to know her answer, he was worried that she would be offended, so he had no choice but to give up.

On the wide road, the car was moving very slowly, so slowly that if a comparison were needed, it would be the same speed as, or even slower than, the walking speed of pedestrians on the road.

"Brother Si, if we keep driving like this, I'm afraid I won't get home until dawn," Mo Jingfei said, looking at the man in the driver's seat.
