Chapter 11: Divorce Changes the Person

The nurse was about to push open the door when Jiang Wanyan suddenly grabbed his wrist. She didn't know where she got the strength from, but she ignored the nurse's wailing and pulled him for a distance before letting go.

The nurse rubbed her wrist, glared at her and asked, "Are you sick?"

Jiang Wanyan asked him with a cold face: "Where did you go just now?"

"What do you care where I go?" the nurse said disdainfully. "Is that half-dead person in there your mother?"

Jiang Wanyan's face darkened instantly, and she was furious. The person next to her stood in front of her before her, and said with narrowed eyes, "You're fired."

The nurse realized later that they might really be Liang Manzhu's relatives. His face turned a little ugly, and he stammered and said, "I, I was just joking. Don't take it seriously."

Although he didn't like serving others, he felt that as a grown man, it was beneath his dignity to do such things, but taking care of Liang Manzhu earned him tens of thousands of yuan a month, and he didn't want to go back to the company and work himself to death for only a salary of three thousand.

"Are you kidding?" Xi Chenzhu snorted coldly, "Do you think you're qualified to be a caregiver?"

The man looked down on the job of a caregiver. When he was suddenly told that he was not qualified for the job, he still got angry and said, "It's just a few bucks, and you act like everyone has nothing."

Xi Chenzhu ignored her and asked Jiang Wanyan softly, "How do you plan to deal with this?"

Jiang Wanyan didn't want to let the nurse get away with it. If she and Xi Chenzhu hadn't come today, Liang Manzhu might have been lying on the ground for a long time, and the consequences might be irreversible.

"Follow the legal process." Jiang Wanyan said.

The nurse was stunned for a moment, and seeing that they didn't seem to be willing to let it go, he simply changed his attitude and said mockingly, "I just said a few words casually. What lawyer would be so bored as to help you with the lawsuit?"

Jiang Wanyan glanced at him dimly and asked Xi Chenzhu, "Is it okay?"

Xi Chenzhu nodded: "I'll do as you say."

After the two of them finished talking, without waiting for the nurse to respond, one went into the ward to check on the patient, while the other stood guard at the door and made a phone call.

When Jiang Wanyan went in, Liang Manzhu had already woken up and looked a little confused when she saw Jiang Wanyan.

"Mom," Jiang Wanyan walked to the bedside and asked softly, "Why didn't you tell me that the nurse wasn't feeling well?"

Liang Manzhu lowered her head and said indifferently: "It's just a small matter, why should I tell you."

"How can this be a small matter? If we hadn't come, would you have slept on the ground all day?" Jiang Wanyan frowned, her tone unusually aggressive.

Liang Manzhu was stunned for a moment, then smiled: "You are not without temper, why did you allow others to bully you before?"

Jiang Wanyan said helplessly: "Mom, this is not about me."

And she didn't allow herself to be bullied by others. She just didn't want to cause trouble. At that time, she cared a lot about other people's opinions, especially He Ming, so she swallowed all the grievances.

Because Jiang Wanyan was angry, Liang Manzhu's attitude towards her became much better. When Xi Chenzhu came in, Liang Manzhu looked at Jiang Wanyan in confusion.

Isn’t this Yin You’s friend?

Jiang Wanyan coughed lightly and said, "Yuzi was supposed to come with me today, but she was busy, so she asked her friend to bring me here."

Xi Chenzhu nodded in agreement and said, "Hello, Auntie."

Liang Manzhu responded, "Hey, thank you for your help."

Xi Chenzhu: "It's not a problem. Wanyan told me about the nurse. She found a new nurse for you and she will be here soon."

Jiang Wanyan looked at him in surprise, and he gave her a reassuring look. She turned to Liang Manzhu and said calmly, "I found a new caregiver for you. I fired the original one."

The three of them were chatting about some family matters when a woman in a suit pushed the door open and came in. When she saw Xi Chenzhu, she asked worriedly, "Mr. Xi, are you feeling unwell?"

Liang Manzhu asked Jiang Wanyan sharply, "What did she shout?"

Xi Chenzhu walked to the door and led the person out. Jiang Wanyan said with a smile, "This caregiver likes to call people the boss. I asked him to find it, so he called him instead of me. I'll go out and talk to her."

Jiang Wanyan left the ward and just then heard the woman ask in confusion, "Boss Xi, do you want me, an assistant, to be a nurse and take care of the patient?"

Xi Chenzhu saw Jiang Wanyan coming out and said to her, "My assistant is Alice."

Jiang Wanyan nodded and asked the same question as Alice: "Why do you let your assistant take care of my mother?"

When Alice heard that the person inside was her mother, she immediately matched the person in front of her with the woman whose true identity was unknown on the trending search, and looked at her with some displeasure.

Xi Chenzhu said, "She is reliable."

"Can……"

"It's okay, Alice can take good care of your mother." Xi Chenzhu didn't give Jiang Wanyan a chance to speak and looked at Alice.

Alice could only smile and say, "Yes, Mr. Xi, I will take good care of you."

Jiang Wanyan said helplessly: "I'm not worried about that."

Seeing that Xi Chenzhu was determined to let Alice take care of Liang Manzhu, Jiang Wanyan could only swallow the last words. She felt that this was a waste of talent.

Xi Chenzhu looked at Alice and said, "Go change your clothes. A nurse should act like a nurse."

Alice's face stiffened with smile, and she went to buy clothes as she was told.

The doctor in charge of Liang Manzhu came over and said awkwardly, "Mr. Xi, we have something to tell you about the lady inside."

Jiang Wanyan asked: "Can't we talk about it here?"

The doctor looked at Xi Chenzhu, who nodded. Then he spoke, "The woman inside is very weak. We have done everything we can, but her illness is not ordinary. We need her past medical records before we can proceed with the next step of treatment."

Xi Chenzhu: "Wait, the medical records will be sent to you when they are available."

After the doctor left, Jiang Wanyan frowned and thought deeply. Her medical records were in the original hospital, but with He Ming there, the original hospital might not give them to her easily.
