Chapter 385 Come to Demonstrate

Finally, Max spoke first: "I didn't scare you just now, did I?"

Tonghua waved her hand and said, "It's okay. Thank you for helping us so much today... We plan to leave here tomorrow."

Max was very surprised and gestured anxiously with his hands: "Why are you leaving so soon? You just got here?!"

Originally, they planned to camp in the wild for two or three days. Now, Tonghua and her friends in the team are planning to leave after only one day. How can this not be surprising?

Tonghua replied: "Because Shiyao is unwell, and for my own personal reasons, we decided to end this journey early."

Max asked sincerely, "Can't we stay here any longer?"

"Feel sorry."

Finally, Max shrugged helplessly: "That's a pity. I thought we could spend more time together. I'm not afraid to tell you the truth. I like Tang very much. I wanted to take advantage of this time to let her spend more time with me. Maybe she would agree to my pursuit."

Tonghua asked doubtfully, "But isn't this a social gathering? Aren't you afraid she'll fall for someone else?"

"I have enough confidence in myself. Besides, even if she chooses someone else temporarily, as long as she is willing, she will definitely be moved by what I do."

Although Tonghua doesn't quite understand the Canadians' bold and open way of pursuing love, she still respects them.

While the two of them were chatting, Andy took Nell's arm and deliberately walked in front of them.

Andy raised his chin towards Tonghua in a defiant manner: "Don't think I can't find a man. Look! I plan to share a tent with Nell tonight."

Tonghua was completely unmoved and could only say, "Oh, that's great."

That dry remark made Andy think that Fairy Tale was envious of her. Just when she wanted to be proud and show off, Nell suddenly raised her hand and greeted Fairy Tale enthusiastically: "Hi! Fairy Tale!"

This sentence was like stirring up a hornet's nest. Andy was so angry that he immediately dropped Nell's hand and asked him, "Why did you say hello to her?! Are you also interested in this woman?!"

Nell glanced at Tonghua secretly and said guiltily, "I didn't."

But the expression on his face had already betrayed him, and Andy was so angry that she shouted, "If you're thinking about her, why did you come to me?! What do you think of me?"

After saying that, he left angrily and went straight to his tent. Nell had to chase after Andy to explain.

The farce ended and peace returned here.

Watching them leave, Tonghua suddenly thought of a question: "Well, there are seven of us, but we only have three tents. How should we allocate them?"

When they were preparing tents for camping, the ratio was probably three men and three women, with two people in one tent. But who knew that Tang Shiyao later insisted on dragging Tonghua here to camp and relax, resulting in a shortage of tents now.

After all, the sizes of these tents are all uniform and can only accommodate two people. Now that there is one more person, Tonghua, it is naturally a bit difficult.

Max thought for a moment and said, "Andy and Nell share a tent. Just now, when we were having dinner, I saw Joe and Jason being very close. They must have gone inside a long time ago. Now there are only three of us left. As the initiator of this project, and you two girls, you two can share a tent."

Tonghua asked worriedly, "We're all sleeping in tents, what about you?"

Max is a big man. He can't sleep in the car like Tang Shiyao. Tonghua silently said sorry in her heart for causing unnecessary trouble to the other party.

Max said in a relaxed tone: "This requires you, Miss Tong, to do me a favor."

He asked Tonghua to wait there for a while, then he walked to the trunk of the car and took out a wooden rack with cloth from the trunk.

Max said, "Please help me unfold it."

Tonghua took one end of the rack, and Max took the other end. They worked together to unfold it. Tonghua then discovered that it was a simple stretcher. It was a little different from ordinary simple stretchers. Its joints were connected by springs, so it required two people to exert force in opposite directions at the same time to unfold it.

After unfolding the simple stretcher, Max placed it inside the windshield, which could barely block the cold wind at night.

Tonghua felt a little unbelievable: "Are you going to sleep on a stretcher tonight?"

Although there is a "wall" and a "bed", it is obviously impossible to fall asleep with a wall made of cloth and a bed made of a stretcher.

After all, the weather is still a bit cold at night.

Max: "Of course this isn't enough. We still need to do some simple tinkering to set up the bed."

After all, there is only a layer of cloth on the stretcher, and sleeping directly on it is no different from sleeping directly on the mud. Who knows if you will catch a cold if you sleep in such heavy dew for a whole night.

Max took out a black, square iron box from the car. The size of the box was smaller than an ordinary suitcase.

He picked up the box, put it directly on the ground, and opened it.

Tonghua walked closer and saw all kinds of tools inside, large and small. It turned out to be a tool bag. As for what those tools were used for, Tonghua had no idea.

Max picked up a screwdriver from the tool kit and asked Fairy Tale to unscrew all the screws on the windshield. He took an engineer shovel, shoveled up the soil and dug a hole.

Although Tonghua didn't know what he was doing, he must have his reasons, so he did his work seriously.

After Fairy Tale had removed all the arms and legs of the windshield, Max inserted some of the iron rods of the rack into the four holes he had dug earlier, keeping them at the same height. He then placed the stretcher on top and fixed the iron rods and the four corners of the stretcher with tools.

A simple folding bed is ready.

After the bed is made, the walls must also be built.

Although the previous windshield can be used as a wall to block the wind, it is too large and too high, and can only block the wind from above and on the left. The other three sides are empty, and the wind can easily blow in at night, so it has no effect of blocking the wind at all.

Max used the remaining iron rods and cloth to make a triangular windshield.

In this way, the folding bed is basically covered tightly by the windshield, like a small tent.

After finishing all this, it was almost late at night. After saying goodbye to Max, Tonghua closed his tent tightly to make sure that no one outside could get in, and then he fell asleep peacefully.
