Chapter 442 Night Walk

Tonghua hesitated for a while. After all, she was not familiar with this person at all. What if this person came prepared? Wouldn’t she be in danger?

Seeing that Tonghua didn't respond immediately, the man naturally realized that his suggestion was inappropriate, so he waved his hands and tried to explain, "I'm sorry, I don't have any other thoughts. It's just that this place is deserted and there are wild beasts from time to time. I'm just worried about your wound. If it can't be treated immediately, it may affect your ability to use your hands in the future."

The man felt very sorry when he thought that such a fair little hand might be covered with scars.

Tonghua thought for a while and said, "It's not that I don't trust you, but I come from a foreign background and have to consider my own safety. I hope you won't be angry."

The man waved his hand and said, "No, I don't mind. You are right to think so. When I get home and give you the medicine, I will take you to my cousin's house. My cousin is a girl, and you should be safer staying at their house at night. Don't worry."

The fairy tale is silent.

The man continued, "Come on, I'll take you home first."

Tonghua nodded and prepared to follow the man, but when she took the first step, she suddenly felt dizzy and almost fell to the ground.

Fortunately, the man was quick-witted and helped Tonghua up, so he did not fall to the ground.

Tonghua stroked his forehead and asked in confusion: "What's wrong with me?"

The man looked at the "Drunken Fruit" tree and said, "The fruit on that tree has an intoxicating effect, just like drinking alcohol, so I named it the "Drunken Fruit." I guess you must have eaten a lot of drunken fruit before, so you feel dizzy now."

Tonghua suddenly realized: "So that's how it is. No wonder I felt a little confused after eating the fruit."

In this way, Tonghua followed the man back home.

As they walked, Tonghua followed the man out of the dense forest. After a while, Tonghua saw a lonely house appear in front of them.

Fairy Tale wondered if that was the man's home.

Sure enough, when the man saw the house, he excitedly called out to Tonghua to hurry up. Then he raised his hand and shouted to the front: "Mom, I'm back!"

At this moment, Tonghua saw a middle-aged woman in her forties or fifties coming out of the house. After seeing the man, she immediately came forward and asked, "I was just wondering why you hadn't come back yet at this late hour. It's just right that you're back..."

As the middle-aged woman was talking, she saw Tonghua following the man. She asked in confusion, "Who is this?"

The man volunteered, "I met her in the mountains. Her hand was injured, so I brought her back to bandage the wound."

"Oh, is that so? Then please come in."

As she spoke, the woman invited Fairy Tale into the house.

The man brought Tonghua to the living room. The woman took out the tools to bandage the wound and said, "Then you guys go ahead and do your work. I'll go cook for you."

After the woman left, the man took the tools and applied the medicine to Fairy Tale bit by bit. As they applied the medicine, they chatted. The man asked a little embarrassedly, "By the way, it's been so long, and I still don't know your name?"

"My name is Fairy Tale, what's yours?"

"My name is Bercy, and that's my mother, Leah. You can just call her by her name."

Fairy Tale nodded to them in a friendly manner: "Percy, Leah."

Bosi asked again, "You don't look like one of us. Where are you from?"

"I come from a country in the East."

Bosi sighed, "You're not from our country? That's really rare! As far as I can remember, there have been almost no people from other countries in our village..."

At first, Percy's expression was filled with emotion, but as he spoke, his expression changed slightly. He lowered his head and muttered softly, "How could it be such a coincidence..."

Tonghua didn't hear his words clearly, so he asked naturally: "What did you just say?"

Percy quickly shook his head: "Oh, nothing."

After Percy bandaged Fairytale's hand, the two stood up and walked out the door.

Leah saw their actions and hurried over from the living room to ask, "Where are you going so late?"

Percy replied, "Our house is too small and there is no extra room. I plan to send Fairy Tale to live with my cousin."

"Wait a minute, take this to Miti first."

Leah returned to the kitchen, took out a basket covered with a white cloth and handed it to Bosie. Tonghua took a look and saw that it was a bag of fresh and large seafood and fish.

After Leah told them to be careful on the road, Tonghua and Percy set out on their journey.

Tonghua originally thought that Boshi's cousin lived not far from their home, but after walking for more than 20 minutes, they didn't see a single house nearby. Tonghua couldn't help but feel curious: "Boshi, didn't you say your cousin is from the same village as you? How come we haven't seen any other residents in the village after walking for so long?"

Originally, Tonghua just felt that walking was a bit boring, so she asked this question. However, when she asked this question, Percy was stunned for a moment, and then said in a depressed mood: "Our house is not in the center of the village, so it is naturally far away from other houses in the village..."

Tonghua noticed Percy's low mood and naturally did not say anything. Instead, she continued to listen to him quietly. "My cousin's house is right in the center of the village. Once we enter the village, we will see many people."

Tonghua said "Oh" and didn't ask any other questions along the way.

After they walked for another ten minutes, they finally met a few scattered figures on the road.

Bosi pointed to the scattered lights of various houses ahead and said excitedly, "We're almost there. Look, the largest and most impressive house in the village belongs to my cousin!"

Tonghua looked forward and saw that there were indeed many houses in front of him, tall and short bungalows and buildings, arranged very neatly, and the most prominent house among them was naturally the one in the middle.

That house is very different from other houses. From the appearance, it not only has three floors, but also has one more floor than other houses. It also looks more luxurious and grand.

As they got closer to the village entrance, they naturally met some villagers.

But Tonghua noticed that the villagers showed disgusted expressions on their faces when they first saw them. Bosi didn't show any expression on his face. He still greeted every villager enthusiastically. However, some villagers even took their children away from them when they first saw them, as if they had some infectious disease.

Tonghua was angry at their attitude and wanted to stand up for Percy, but was stopped by Percy.

He said calmly, "The villagers have always treated me like this. Don't worry about me."

"But why do they treat you like this?"
