Chapter 30 A Mental Illness Requires a Mental Cure (2/2)

"You've got some nerve, daring to touch my young lady with your filthy hands."

"Beat them! Beat them hard! Don't hold back when dealing with these lowly people."

"Alright, don't actually kill someone, it's bad luck." The woman, addressed as "Miss," covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief, her face full of disgust. "If it weren't for that little bit of illusory reputation, I wouldn't have set foot in such a filthy place."

"Don't waste the porridge that was just thrown away, force it down their throats."

"yes."

As the carriage carrying the young lady drove further and further away, the person who had been forced to drink a bowl of rice porridge mixed with sand and dirt lay on the ground like a lump of mud, gagging and coughing violently, almost coughing up her lungs along with the vomit.

Xu Juanzi finally recovered and the first thing she did after standing up was to run back. Because she was running too fast, she fell headfirst onto flat ground. Her face was already bruised and swollen, and the fall made her dizzy and her pants were soaked.

Feeling dizzy and lightheaded, Xu Juanzi chose a shady spot under a tree where there were few people and sat down. Not long after she sat down, she saw three people walking towards her from a distance. Although their faces were covered up, she recognized them immediately by their features and figures. It was none other than that slut Lin Zhaozhao.

Lin Zhaozhao was holding a swaddled baby in her arms; that baby was none other than the child of her Li family.

Xu Juanzi jumped up and walked towards Lin Zhaozhao. At this moment, she looked fierce and menacing, and there was no trace of the cowering and cowardice she had shown when she was being beaten up.

"Lin Zhaozhao, I've finally caught you! Where are you going to steal my precious grandson?" Xu Juanzi rushed in front of Lin Zhaozhao, trying to restrain her as before. At this moment, her mind was racing. If she sold the little girl, she would make a fortune.

Lin Zhaozhao already had a foxy face. If it weren't for that face, she wouldn't have been able to bewitch Li Jue so much that he would oppose her at every turn.

If I had money, I'd have to treat my son like royalty when I saw him again.

The more Xu Juanzi thought about it, the more eager she became when she looked at Lin Zhaozhao. But things were different now. Before she could even get close to Lin Zhaozhao, she was pushed away by a sheep that suddenly appeared from behind.

Her body was thrown into the air, and Xu Juanzi fell heavily to the ground, her buttocks going numb from the impact.

"Lin Zhaozhao, how dare you let this beast treat me like this!" Xu Juanzi trembled with anger as she watched Lin Zhaozhao praise the sheep that had pushed her out of the way.

"Who do you think you are? If you attack me again for no reason, it won't be as simple as just pushing me out. If you go too far, you'll lose your life." Lin Zhaozhao smiled slightly, but the smile didn't reach her eyes.

"You dare!" Xu Juanzi's voice cracked with fright. Afraid of being gored by the sheep again, she subtly took a step back.

“I’m the child’s grandmother. If you dare to treat me like this, see how you explain yourself to Li Jue after you die.” Xu Juanzi brought up Li Jue. Lin Zhaozhao raised an eyebrow, her smile vanished, replaced by a chilling aura. “Then you don’t need to worry about it.”

With a slight gesture, the once docile sheep charged at Xu Juanzi on its hooves. Upon seeing this, Xu Juanzi turned and ran, her feet moving as if she were on wheels of fire, outrunning the sheep by a considerable distance.

That beast has no sense of proportion. If he really puts his strength into it, she could really lose her life here. Xu Juanzi is afraid of death and doesn't even have the courage to gamble.
