Chapter 47 Song Family Ceramics (1/2)

Chapter 47 Song Family Ceramics

All the dishes were prepared, and Li Xiujuan took charge of cooking: roast duck and chicken were stir-fried, fish was braised, pork belly was made, and a vegetable dish and cucumber salad were also prepared.

The freshly cooked dishes, with their enticing aroma, made even the neighbor's mischievous kids drool.

This is not a description, but a realistic one.

After all the dishes were served, crying could be heard from next door.

"I don't care, I want to eat meat, I just want to eat meat." The voice could be heard before the person was seen.

While eating fruit, Lin Zhaozhao overheard her siblings recounting the outrageous deeds of the neighbor's wicked wife and child. A wave of disgust washed over her, and she vowed that if Ping An grew up to be like that, she would break his legs.

The mischievous child gradually revealed himself, about eleven or twelve years old, rolling around on the ground, with two strands of yellow snot running from his nose as he sniffled and sucked on them, looking rather unsightly.

Dust filled the air. Old Mrs. Li, who had just been cheerful, frowned. Just as she was about to get up, Li Xiujuan pressed her down and walked step by step to Granny Qian. "Take care of your child, he's so noisy."

"I want to eat meat. As long as you give me meat, I won't make a fuss." Seeing that someone was paying attention to him, the mischievous child quickly got up like a wild monkey and looked up at Li Xiujuan.

Their eyes showed no trace of crying; on the contrary, they were full of malice and greed. Li Xiujuan could easily see what the grandmother and grandson were up to. They knew that the Li family had no way to deal with them, so they would make a scene until they were given what they wanted.

In situations like this, the only way to defeat magic is with magic.

Li Xiujuan smiled sweetly, "You really want to eat meat?"

"Eat!" The little rascal wiped his snot, extremely excited. Even Granny Qian thought to herself, "Tsk, this method is really effective. Good things will come rolling in from now on."

This made Granny Qian so happy she almost burst out laughing.

Before she could even enjoy herself for a moment, she saw Li Xiujuan stride boldly toward her chicken coop. After a chaotic clucking sound, Granny Qian began to wail in despair.

"My chicken, my old hen that I raised with great difficulty."

"Kid, this time you can eat your fill of meat." Li Xiujuan smiled gently, but the gentler she was, the stronger her terrifying aura became. The little brat was so frightened by Li Xiujuan that he wet his pants.

The commotion between Granny Qian and the bratty child, one howling and the other urinating, quickly alerted Granny Qian's son and daughter-in-law. Upon seeing a pile of chickens with broken necks, they stormed over to her door.

Their arrival was earth-shattering, but upon seeing the burly and tall Li Xiujuan and Lin Yangyang, they cowered like little quails, weakly and stammering out their pitiful state.

In the end, out of consideration for their neighborly relationship, Old Lady Li compensated the hen with the market price, while Li Xiujuan took back the chicken with its broken neck.

"You can try making a fuss again and see if the chicken's neck is harder than yours." As soon as she finished speaking, Granny Qian and the brats couldn't help but shrink back.

Undisturbed, the Li family enjoyed themselves immensely. The men chatted and drank, while the women and younger members sipped Lin Zhaozhao's homemade fruit tea. With each bite of meat and vegetable, followed by a sip of sweet and sour fruit tea, everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves.

The meal lasted until 3 p.m. The men had finally managed to gather, and they were all completely drunk. Li Xiujuan helped clean up, and Lin Zhaozhao and a few of her brothers and sisters also extended an olive branch.

"I'm going to open a potted plant shop. The shop has already been rented, and it will be open soon once everything is set up. If you don't mind, you can work for me." Lin Zhaozhao had already thought of her Li siblings. Li Yunzhou and Li Yunhai were strong and meticulous, and could help Lin Yangyang with deliveries. Li Yunyun had a good personality and could attract customers. Li Junsheng had beautiful handwriting and could record the daily income and act as a temporary accountant.

Of course, all of this is contingent on their willingness.
