Chapter 65 Mutual Affection
With clear skies, gentle breezes, and sunshine, and the whole family enjoying some rare free time, Lin Zhaozhao decided to go on an autumn outing.
The proposal was unanimously approved.
At Lin Zhaozhao's suggestion, Li Xiujuan and Grandma Lin made cold shredded chicken salad, cold noodles, cold dishes, and fried meatballs. They also prepared fruit drinks, which were served in bamboo tubes and could be refilled as many times as Lin Zhaozhao wanted.
With everything ready, the group left the city in a grand procession.
Ping An nestled in Lin Zhaozhao's arms, gazing at the unfamiliar scenery outside the carriage curtain, babbling excitedly. Even the usually composed Yang Yuan was eager to try it out.
The place we arrived at was an open space at the foot of the mountain. Below was a lake with lotus leaves forming a continuous expanse, which was magnificent and beautiful. Above was a maple forest with red maple leaves stretching as far as the eye could see. Being there made me feel inexplicably comfortable.
The curtains were drawn, food was laid out, and the family sat together, a gentle breeze caressing their faces. The children's laughter and the adults' chatter blended together, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.
Lin Zhaozhao really enjoyed this feeling and was completely immersed in it, if only she hadn't encountered the uninvited guest.
"All irrelevant persons, leave immediately." The newcomer was arrogant and haughty, instantly shattering Lin Zhaozhao's good mood.

Upon receiving a reply, Qin Yi left first, leaving a follower to guide him.
“Zhao Niang…” Li Xiujuan was worried, and Lin Fusheng, Old Lady Lin and others were also on edge.
"It's nothing, just go and say hello." After giving the instructions, the attendant led the way up the mountain, and when they reached the halfway point, the villa came into view.
The servants informed them, and they continued onward. After walking for about half a cup of tea's time, they arrived at their destination. Looking around, they saw lotus flowers in full bloom, exuding a delicate fragrance, which was refreshing and delightful.
"Lady Lin, come sit here." Before Lin Zhaozhao could think, a familiar voice broke the silence. Zhang Wenlang waved his hand high, like a playful husky, his eyes overflowing with clear foolishness.
Lin Zhaozhao went along with it and sat down next to Zhang Wenlang.
Qin Yi's plan was to leave Lin Zhaozhao hanging and teach her a lesson, but Zhang Wenlang ruined it all. With everyone watching, he couldn't embarrass Zhang Wenlang in public, so he could only keep quiet.
Seeing that Lin Zhaozhao was being protected by Zhang Wenlang, Lin Jinxiu felt extremely jealous. It wasn't that she had any improper thoughts about Zhang Wenlang, but rather that she was suffering a backlash because of Lin Zhaozhao. Her former protectors were now treating her like dirt, and the contrast was so great that she couldn't accept it for a long time.
She had originally hoped to see a good show when she saw someone bring Lin Zhaozhao, but this is what happened.
