Chapter 7 Aquaculture Takes Initial Shape (1/2)

Chapter 7 Aquaculture Takes Initial Shape

Once outside the space, Lin Zhaozhao's eyes lit up as she looked at the two piglets Lin Fusheng was carrying. Old Mrs. Lin saw through Lin Zhaozhao's thoughts and smiled as she asked Lin Fusheng to give her the piglets. Lin Fusheng handed the piglets to his daughter in a daze, and then he saw his daughter wave her hand, and the piglets disappeared into thin air. Then, he and his wife had a handful of dark purple fruits that looked like small lanterns in their hands.

"Zhao Niang, what you've done..."

"Your daughter specially saved this for you." Compared to Lin Fusheng's dullness, Li Xiujuan was much more flexible. She knew what to do as soon as the old lady Lin raised her eyes and eyebrows. First, she used cherries to shut Lin Fusheng up, then gave Lin Zhaozhao a few instructions, and went into the kitchen with the old lady Lin.

Grandma Lin summarized and embellished Lin Zhaozhao's words. Li Xiujuan was both surprised and heartbroken, while Lin Fusheng reached out to wipe away tears. Grandma Lin patted him and then pulled him to get busy.

Li Xiujuan, Lin Fusheng, Old Lady Lin, and Lin Yangyang each performed their duties, while Lin Zhaozhao was also extremely busy. First, she dug a fishpond five meters away from the wooden house, filled it with water (well water and spiritual spring water in a 5:1 ratio), ordered fish fry, shrimp fry, and fish grass, and scattered fish grass seeds around the fishpond. Before long, the fishpond was covered with lush green fish grass.

Then came the chicken coop, pigsty, and rabbit hutch. Lin Zhaozhao used soil dug from the fishpond to build a mud wall for the rabbit hutch. How to decorate it was up to the rabbits themselves. She simply laid a layer of straw in the pigsty. The two piglets were used to rough work and would lie down and snore after eating and drinking their fill. As for the chicken coop, she simply enclosed it with a fence she had made earlier.

Having mostly finished dealing with the situation, Lin Zhaozhao looked at the boundless land ahead and felt that something was still missing.

When she saw the calves and lambs on the shopping page, Lin Zhaozhao quickly placed an order. The calves were 100 yuan each and the lambs were 64 yuan each. Lin Zhaozhao bought twenty of each, half male and half female.

The seller also gave away some hay and a lamb that was noticeably half its original size. Lin Zhaozhao used her special ability to wrap the lamb around herself, and since she couldn't find anything wrong, she felt relieved and placed an order for some grass seeds.

The grass seeds were planted in the space, and the calves and lambs buried their heads in eating them. Only then did Lin Zhaozhao withdraw her consciousness from the space.

After resting for a short while, Lin Fusheng and Li Xiujuan returned, carrying two piglets. The couple briefly recounted what they had seen and heard in Shizi Village. Old Mrs. Lin felt relieved. Since they had almost finished packing, she told the family to go to bed early, as they needed to get up early the next day to go to Qingning Town to buy things. If they went early, they might be able to find some bargains.

Under the bright moonlight, the Lin family members had all gone to sleep, but Lin Zhaozhao, who was wide awake, sat on a stool, busily working with a wood-chopping knife in her hand, while five bamboo tubes and a pile of bamboo arrows were already piled up at her feet.

Overwhelmed by drowsiness, Lin Zhaozhao fell asleep as soon as she entered the space, completely unaware of the notification from the space's online store.

[Ding! Special offers section is now open.]

[Today's top recommendation: a retractable wooden canopy, priced at NT$99,000. New customer benefits include unlimited loan repayment period. First come, first served...]

"Mmm." Lin Zhaozhao was fast asleep when her face was licked until it was wet and itchy. She subconsciously pushed it away, mumbled something, turned over, and continued to sleep.

[With the host's approval, the loan is in progress... Loan successful! Congratulations, host, you have obtained the retractable wooden shed.]

The space fell silent. The little lamb exhaled a breath of stale air, hopped into the fenced-off vegetable garden, and began to munch on the tender, sweet vegetable leaves.

As dawn broke, the Lin family members got up one by one. The aroma of food wafted from the kitchen. Lin Yangyang went to call Lin Zhaozhao, but a few seconds later she ran out in a panic, "Grandma, Second Sister is missing!"

"This wretched thing, go find it for me right now!" The family rushed out with grim faces, only to see Lin Zhaozhao leisurely returning with a bamboo tube in her hand just as they reached the door.

"Why do you all look so pale? I just woke up early and, having nothing better to do, went to the back mountain and made a few bamboo tubes." Lin Zhaozhao said, not forgetting to lift up the bamboo tubes. Because of her movement, the tied bamboo tubes collided together, making a thumping sound.

Old Mrs. Lin's anger vanished in an instant, and she turned and went inside.
