The two walked into the bathroom. Xia Weiyi took off her pajamas, then came to him and unbuttoned his shirt, her fingers trembling.
"You're obviously shy, so why are you so proactive?" he asked curiously.
"Brother, you've worked hard today. I want to be good to you."
After taking a shower, Si Wuan wrapped her in a white bath towel and slowly carried her to the bedroom.
He put her on the bed and asked softly, "Don't you have anything you want to say to me?"
Xia Weiyi pursed her lips and spoke after a long while: "Today, your mother and your sister came to my apartment and asked me to cancel the wedding. They said they would accept our secret marriage and would take good care of us in the future."
"Are you moved?" Si Wuan continued to ask.
Xia Weiyi said with embarrassment, "I was indeed tempted at first, but when I thought about how long my brother had been preparing for the wedding and how excited he was every day, I didn't want to disappoint you, so I resolutely rejected them."
Si Wuan looked at her quietly without saying a word for several minutes.
Xia Weiyi's heartbeat quickened. She whispered, "But they're going to reclaim the stocks they gave you and even issue a statement severing ties with you. I'm really worried about you."
Si Wuan cupped her cheeks and said, "I know. They threatened me before and wanted to sue me. So let's sue them. Don't be afraid. If you're afraid, they'll control you. If you follow them, what will you do if they push you further?"
"I know you're so passionate tonight because you want to get pregnant and delay the wedding, right?"
Xia Weiyi was stunned and her face turned red. It turned out that her brother knew everything.
"Yes, I agree with having children, but not to postpone the wedding, but because we love each other."
Xia Weiyi choked up and cried, "Brother, I love you so much. I want to have a little one like you."
Si Wuan hugged her tightly: "Yeah, me too."
Later that night, Xia Weiyi received a call from Si Mumu, asking her what she thought.
"I talked to my brother about it, and he said he doesn't mind if you issue a statement severing ties, or even sue him."
Si Mumu hung up the phone angrily and cried at home: "Why? Why did my brother do this to us?"
Song Chang hugged her and comforted her: "It's all because of Xia Weiyi. If it weren't for her, your brother wouldn't have become like this."
Si Mumu threw herself into her arms: "Mom, I hate you so much. I hate Xia Weiyi. I've never hated someone so much before."
Si Han complained as he came out of the bedroom. He looked better than before, but he looked listless.
He held up his cane and slowly walked over to the mother and daughter: "What's wrong?"
Si Mumu yelled, "Dad, it's all your fault for bringing Xia Weiyi home. Now my brother would rather break off relations with us than marry Xia Weiyi. What should we do then?"
Si Han was speechless. He now regretted bringing Weiyi back to the Si family. If he had kept Weiyi outside, this kind of thing would never have happened.
While comforting Si Mumu, Song Chang told her about her previous visit to Xia Weiyi: "Wu An is going to sue us regarding Si's stock. It's going to be terrible. You have to be mentally prepared."
She was tired and stopped accusing Si Han of past mistakes. She sighed, "I just didn't expect my son to be even crazier than you."
Si Han said nothing. The scenes of him pursuing Xia Sheng and the time when Xia Sheng was in the mental hospital emerged in his mind. He felt a little sad. It seemed that the woman he loved so much didn't love him as much anymore, and it seemed that the things he had been so persistent about were not as persistent anymore.
"The person Wu An cares about most now is Xia Weiyi, so let's start with Xia Weiyi." He said expressionlessly.
"Dad, we've tried countless ways to get rid of Xia Weiyi, but it's all useless. They are of the same mind." Si Mumu screamed, "Especially Xia Weiyi, who pretends to listen to his brother very much, as if he would die for his brother."
She felt nauseous. Xia Weiyi was good at pretending and acting. She was good at it before and even better now.
"Who does Xia Weiyi care about the most?" Si Han asked.
"Of course it's my brother." Si Mumu replied.
"No, there's another person, Xia Weiyi's mother." Si Han's lips curled up in triumph: "And her biological father."
Si Mumu was stunned, and it took him a while to react: "Dad, what are you going to do?"
"I'll make your brother let go of Xia Weiyi on his own initiative."
"Their wedding can't take place, and they can never be together." Si Han's face was a little vicious.
Si Mumu met her mother's gaze. She didn't dare to show too much joy. Instead, she was worried: "Dad, will you hurt my brother? I don't want my brother to get hurt."
"Mu Mu, I know you feel sorry for your brother, but your brother doesn't feel sorry for you at all right now."
Si Mumu shut up after hearing what her father said. She clenched her hands, tears welling in her eyes. “If Dad can get my brother to come home, I don’t mind you using any means.”
"Okay." Si Han walked towards the study with his crutches in hand, satisfied.
He called Si Wuan and said, "Come to Xia Sheng's grave alone. I have something to tell you."
"Dad, I have to accompany Weiyi, so I'm afraid I can't go."
On the phone, Si Han laughed: "You're getting married soon, why don't you come to see your future mother-in-law? Why don't you tell Xia Sheng? Or are you afraid of something?"
Si Wuan ignored his unreasonable demands: "You should be the one who feels the most guilty towards Aunt Xia Sheng."
Si Han growled, "Wu'an, if you hadn't come today, I would have scattered Xia Sheng's ashes, leaving Xia Weiyi without a mother."
Si Wuan was shocked: "Dad, why did you do this?"
Si Han sneered: "You forced me to do this!"
