The next morning, Xia Weiyi changed her clothes and walked out of the bedroom.
A man in a black shirt and black trousers was sitting in the restaurant drinking coffee. When he saw her coming, he put down the cup in his hand and walked over.
His eyes fell on her, a simple and elegant long-sleeved dress paired with white boat socks.
The girl smiled at him and said, "Brother, I don't want to eat anymore. Let's go back to the Si family."
"Okay." Si Wuan agreed.
Xia Weiyi walked towards the shoe cabinet and was stopped by the man: "Sit on the sofa, I'll get your shoes for you."
He strode to the shoe cabinet and picked up a new pair of white low-heeled lambskin pumps.
"Thank you, brother." She was about to take it and put it on.
Si Wuan squatted down and said with a smile: "Let me put it on for you."
He spoke naturally and gently. Xia Weiyi's earlobes turned red and itchy, and she nodded.
The man held her ankle and murmured, "If you are unhappy at the Si family, you can leave at any time. Don't worry about anyone's feelings, not even mine. Do you understand?"
His fingers hooked the red line on her ankle, his black pupils were dark, and his eyelashes were like butterflies, flapping their wings.
Xia Weiyi subconsciously retracted her foot. She looked down at him playing with the red string, her face flushed. "Okay."
Si Wu'an's hands were still playing with the red string, with no intention of helping her put on the shoes. She held her breath, her skin tense all over, as if she would lose control if he touched her even slightly.
He stared at the red string on her ankle with an almost obsessive look for a long time before raising his hand to put her shoes on. He murmured in his heart, "Tying a red string on the baby will make it never leave him, never leave him. How wonderful!"
On the way back to Si's house, the two were silent.
The car stopped at the gate of the Si family villa. Si Wuan got out first, opened the door for her, and took her hand as they walked into the living room.
It seems like a lifetime ago.
The Si family villa remains the same as usual.
But this time when Xia Weiyi came back, his mood had changed.
She looked up at the room on the second floor where she used to live. There was a girl there who never dared to go downstairs, not even to cry out loud. Then she looked upstairs and saw an attic where people could be imprisoned. She had been locked up there and almost couldn't get out.
Thinking of this, the girl held the hand of the man beside her tightly.
Si Wuan felt her trembling and fear, lowered his eyes and said softly: "Don't be afraid."
"Okay." Xia Weiyi agreed in a low voice.
"Mom, brother is back." Si Mumu exclaimed in surprise.
Yesterday, she and her mother were worried that Xia Weiyi would not tell her brother about this matter. If her brother did not say anything after a few days, she would definitely make trouble for Xia Weiyi. Unexpectedly, her brother came home soon.
Si Mumu didn't hate Xia Weiyi as much at this time, but her heart and eyes were full of her brother.
She ran over like a little bird, hugged Si Wuan's arm, and acted coquettishly: "Brother, I miss you so much." Her eyes were red and tears were about to fall.
"Brother, do you miss me?" Si Mumu couldn't wait to ask, but she was afraid of hearing something unpleasant, so she said to herself, "Brother, you miss me too, right? Brother used to love me the most."
Si Wu'an looked at her from top to bottom with a calm gaze, his eyes landing on her cheek.
"Mu Mu, you've lost weight."
Si Mumu pursed her lips. She really didn't want to cry. Seeing her brother was a happy thing, and she absolutely couldn't cry.
However, she couldn't bear her brother's simple greeting.
She is so dependent on and worships her brother.
What could make her happier than having her brother care about her?
"I have no appetite for food when I can't see my brother. Now that my brother is here, I will definitely eat well."
"Um."
Xia Weiyi looked up at Si Wuan, and he gave her a gentle and doting smile. Her heart, which had been slightly lifted, fell.
Song Chang came out of the bedroom and saw her son. He was still wearing a black shirt, just like before. Her heart couldn't help but get excited: "Wu An is back."
Like Si Mumu, she automatically ignored Xia Weiyi.
It seemed like even saying hello to Xia Weiyi would lower one's status.
When Si Wu'an noticed this, his thin lips curled up indifferently, and his deep eyes deepened. Sure enough, they came back, and they were still the same as before, without any change.
He gently touched Xia's only finger with his fingertips.
Xia Weiyi felt his love and affection, met his eyes, and slowly raised her lips: "Brother, I'm fine."
Si Wuan was stunned. Is it really okay?
Everyone was chatting in the living room.
Xia Weiyi was the ignored person. She sat quietly on the sofa, wearing a beige dress, clean and pure, like a rich lady who had been immersed in a wealthy family for many years, exuding a sense of calmness and elegance.
Si Mumu had always been jealous of Xia Weiyi's beauty, but now seeing her like this, the little bit of good feeling he had for her in his heart disappeared.
Song Chang's lips curled up in disdain. This little goblin now has an extraordinary temperament, but it is not because of her son's nourishment. If the little goblin leaves Wu'an, she will be nothing. She might just become a toy for men to play with.
Xia Weiyi stared at Si Wuan beside her. She could look at him as if no one else was around. He had a plain face and a gentle voice. The more she looked at him, the more charming he became, making it impossible to take her eyes off him.
A faint smile appeared on the corner of her mouth. She really liked Brother Wu'an like this.
"You still remember to come back?" The man's cold questioning words broke the apparent peace.
Si Wuan stood up and called out "Dad" softly.
Si Han's face turned cold: "You still remember that I am your father."
Si Wuan's expression didn't change at all, he was already immune to his words.
Xia Weiyi called Si Han "Uncle." Si Han sneered, "I don't deserve it. I was seriously ill at the cemetery, and you didn't even come to see me."
The atmosphere was tense.
Song Chang winked at Si Mumu.
Si Mumu understood and ran to Si Han: "Dad, it's rare for my brother to come back, can you please not be like this?"
