Chapter 103 One Hundred and Three Slashes

Xu Jiang and Lou Yunchun tied up their horses and were about to go into the mountains with him when they suddenly heard the sound of carriages and horses behind them.

The two turned around and saw a dozen horses and seven or eight carts hurtling towards them, sending clouds of dust billowing up. Tourists on both sides of the road quickly dodged, but those who were a little slow to dodge were swept to the ground.

Who is so arrogant?

Xu Jiang squinted and looked, oh, the Zhou family.

The man on horseback leading the group was Zhou Huai, and alongside him was the scoundrel who had molested Wu Luolan in the tile shop in Liquanfang last year. Looking behind them, apart from the scholars who had used to follow the Jisheng Book Bureau, many of them were newcomers on this year's yellow list.

They were easy to recognize, all wearing the white robes of Jinshi.

When Lou Yunchun saw this, his eyes couldn't help but become fierce.

The group stopped in front of the stable, and immediately blocked the road. Zhou Huai looked inside the stable, pointed his whip at the stable manager, and ordered in a very impressive manner: "Clear the stable, we'll take care of it."

The manager knew Zhou Huai. Seeing that they were aggressive and difficult to offend, and also seeing that they had many carriages and horses, he agreed and hurriedly asked the groom to tie the horses in the shed to a tree in the distance.

But the others refused to accept the offer. They had already paid, not to mention that they had come first. Why should their horses be moved? They were tied so far away. What if the horses got lost?

The steward smiled apologetically and said, "Don't worry, everyone. It's open over there, and the horses will be more comfortable. I've asked the stable boy to watch over them, so there's no need to worry about losing any horses."

"Since it's open and free, why don't we let them tie their horses over there? What's the point of blocking them here? Besides, everything has a first come, first served basis. Why should we lead our horses out?"

"that is."

“So many people is great?”

Several young men in bright clothes surrounded the manager and questioned him.

The steward was in a dilemma, and finally said, "Gentlemen, how about I return the money to you and you find a place to tie it up on your own?"

"No! Business requires conscience. Since you've already taken the money, how can you break your promise?" A young man in brown clothes pointed to his feet and said, "Besides, this isn't private property. I'm letting you use the land to do business, but you're still being unfair. Believe it or not, I'll file a lawsuit against you and have you whipped."

This guy is also not easy to get rid of. The stable manager was about to persuade him again, but he heard Zhou Huai sneer.

"Oh, what a big mouth you have." Zhou Huai looked at the young man in brown clothes. Seeing that he was dressed in silk and satin, but he didn't look like the son of an official, he couldn't help but sneer. "Sue the government office? I am the government office."

After saying that, he raised his whip and whipped him, "Let's see who gets whipped."

"Ouch!" The young man in brown was hit on the shoulder unexpectedly. He cried out and dodged to the side, feeling shocked and angry.

"How dare you hit someone so casually!"

"Are you going to give way or not? If you don't, I'll beat you again." Zhou Huai pointed at him with a horsewhip, looking arrogant and domineering.

"Try again?" A man pushed through the crowd and came to the stable. It was Lou Yunchun.

Zhou Huai squinted his eyes and whipped him, "Who do you think you are?"

He had never seen Lou Yunchun, so he didn't recognize him.

Lou Yunchun dodged, then reached out and dragged Zhou Huai off the horse to the ground.

Zhou Huai fell on his butt and it hurt a lot. Before he could react, the whip in his hand was snatched away. Then he saw the shadows of whips everywhere and felt a sharp pain on his body.

Lou Yunchun whipped Zhou Huai so hard that he rolled on the ground. He then hid under the horse's belly, blocking the blows with his hands while shouting, "Ouch, ouch, stop it, stop it!"

The onlookers applauded, especially the young man in brown who had just been whipped by Zhou Huai, whose throat was hoarse from shouting.

"Well done, well done! He deserves to be beaten to death!"

His companion recognized the Zhou family and quickly covered his mouth.

If you want to die, scream at least a little quieter!

But his companion couldn't help but smile widely, and shouted in his heart: Beat that bastard to death!

The Zhou family member who was following Zhou Huai was frightened by Lou Yunchun and had no time to stop him. When he came to his senses, he saw that Zhou Huai had been beaten by Lou Yunchun and crawled under the horse's belly, so he quickly dismounted to stop him.

But when he arrived at the battlefront, he was frightened by Lou Yunchun's look, his hands and feet became stiff, and he dared not dissuade him.

Fortunately, Lou Yunchun knew his limits and stopped after whipping the man more than ten times.

The people at the back of the group were also startled by this sudden change and quickly dismounted to support Zhou Huai. Someone with sharp eyes recognized Lou Yunchun, his expression changed, and he immediately retreated. The rest of the group gathered around, but the Zhou family member stopped them.

He couldn't stop Lou Yunchun, and he couldn't stop his own family?

Zhou Huai crawled out from under the horse's belly, rolling around like a muddy dog. He felt both pain and humiliation. Seeing that his brothers didn't help him, he couldn't help but yelled angrily, "Chengwen, what are you doing?"

Zhou Chengwen moved closer to him and said weakly, "He is Lou Yunchun."

Looking at Zhou Huai's miserable appearance, Zhou Chengwen couldn't help but feel fortunate that he ran fast last time in Liquanfang, otherwise he would have been beaten.

"Lou Yunchun?" Zhou Huai was stunned. Although he had never seen Lou Yunchun, he had heard of his bad reputation.

"My uncle told me to stay away from him if I meet him." The uncle he was referring to was the Minister of Revenue who went to Lou Yunchun to sound out the rumors that night.

Zhou Chengwen was scolded for what Lou Yunchun said to his uncle at the palace banquet on New Year's Eve. Now when he saw Lou Yunchun, he was like a mouse seeing a cat.

Zhou Huai glared at Lou Yunchun, his heart filled with fear and hatred. However, after hearing what Zhou Chengwen said, he had no choice but to swallow his humiliation. He grimaced, dusted himself off, and snorted in a cowardly manner, "It's just my bad luck."

Bad luck? Lou Yunchun raised his whip, and Zhou Huai immediately retreated behind Zhou Chengwen.

"Still fighting?"

Lou Yunchun snorted coldly and threw the whip at Zhou Chengwen. Then he turned around and said to the young man in brown clothes who had just been whipped by Zhou Huai, "When you return to the city, write a confession of what happened today and submit it to the Dali Temple."
