Chapter 180 One Hundred and Eighty Kills

Die, die! He quickly folded the note carefully and put it back into Lou Yunchun's hand, pretending nothing had happened.

Lou Yunchun retracted his hand and held the note tightly again.

Old Duan couldn't help but sigh, "It's great to be young." Then the scene brought back memories of his wife, children, and parents at home. He wondered how they were doing recently.

I am alone in an inn, dreaming of my hometown.

Lou Yunchun rode his horse to the familiar street. As soon as he turned into the alley, he saw a man drying books and drinking tea under the big tree in front of the bookstore.

He stared at the figure, his heart beating wildly, then he spurred his horse and galloped towards her.

The man heard the sound of horse hooves, looked up, was stunned at first, then stood up and greeted with a smile.

Before the horse stopped, Lou Yunchun jumped off and walked to her eagerly. He had a thousand words in his heart that he wanted to tell her.

But before he could open his mouth, he heard her politely ask, "Sir, do you want to buy some books?"

He stood there in a daze for a long time before nodding and saying "hmm".

The man smiled and then tied the horse for him. He followed her closely, and she didn't notice it. When she turned around, she bumped into his arms.

He reached out to hug her, but she took two steps back and said, "Sir, please come in."

He withdrew his hand, looked at her deeply, and walked into the bookstore.

The tables and chairs in the bookshop all looked familiar to him. He looked up and saw the wooden couch at first sight.

A wooden couch that belongs to him.

"What book would you like to buy, sir?" She followed him into the house.

He couldn't bear it any longer, so he turned around, walked forward, and hugged her tightly.

"A Jiang." He buried his face in her shoulder, inhaling the familiar scent of ink on her body, and said aggrievedly, "Don't tease me."

Xu Jiang was silent for a moment, then she hugged him with a smile, "You're back."

Longing for her surged like a tide, and he tightened his arms, almost embedding her into his bones.

Xu Jiang gently stroked his back and whispered in his ear about the recent situation of the bookstore, how many books it had sold, how many jobs it had taken, and also talked about the neighbors, Manager Wang, Liang Mo, and stupid donkey and Yue Nu.

Every word she spoke was like a shower of rain watering a dry field. He greedily absorbed it but was still not satisfied.

"What about me?"

She held his face in her hands, touched his forehead, and said gently, "Silly boy, you are everywhere."

His heart skipped a beat, and he closed his eyes and approached the lips he had longed for...

"Sir? Sir, wake up, Captain Zhao is here."

Lou Yunchun opened his eyes and met Old Duan's face. He took a deep breath and recovered after a while. He sat up and said to Old Duan, "Help me change my clothes."

Seeing that he looked pale, Old Duan remembered the look of fear on his face when he just woke up. He helped him dress while asking with concern, "Did you have a nightmare? The postmaster just brought some tea. Can I pour you a bowl?"

Lou Yunchun said somewhat dejectedly, "Okay."

After tidying up his clothes, Old Duan helped Lou Yunchun sit in front of the desk, and then poured him a bowl of tea.

Lou Yunchun reached out to serve the tea, only then he realized that he was still holding the note that Xu Jiang had put in the medicine box. He unfolded it and took a look, then silently repeated the words on it twice in his mind before putting it into his pocket and keeping it safely.

Seeing this, Old Duan turned his head away and pretended he saw nothing.

Lou Yunchun drank half a bowl of tea before he felt his dry throat feel better. He then told Old Duan, "Go and invite Captain Zhao in."

"Yes." Old Duan responded and asked someone to go.

Lou Yunchun took out two bird talismans and placed them on the table.

These two sparrow talismans, one was found from the assassin in Qu Wushan Inn, and the other was found from the assassin who ambushed him yesterday. Their shapes, sizes, and totems are exactly the same. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the sparrow talismans are the tokens of these assassins.

Now that we have the token, we can investigate their background, find their whereabouts, and catch them in one fell swoop.
