Eagles cry in the sky and flags rustle in the wind.
Lou Yunchun stood in the courtyard, watching the eagle circling and soaring in the sky, then flying out of Tingzhou and heading east.
Old Duan rushed in, "Sir, Guo Yuanzhen is here."
"It's time to come." Lou Yunchun put away the eagle whistle and walked into the hall.
Old Duan hurried to another room to call for help.
Guo Yuanzhen rushed into the yard with a murderous look on his face, kicking people as he went. If he didn't like something, he would not let it stand.
When he arrived at the front of the hall, he saw two thin and graceful deputy envoys standing at the door. He couldn't help but sneer. It seemed that these bastards knew that they were looking for trouble.
The two deputy envoys saw him approaching and took two steps forward to stop him, but before they could say anything, he lifted them up and threw them into the yard. The two patrolmen rolled over on the ground twice, looked at each other, and lay there wailing.
The cry was so miserable.
Guo Yuanzhen felt a little relieved, snorted coldly, and stepped into the door.
Inside the hall, Lou Yunchun sat cross-legged in the middle, Lao Duan sat beside him, and the other two patrol guards stood on his left and right.
When he saw Guo Yuanzhen come in, he just looked up twice, then lowered his head to take the teacup handed to him by Old Duan and took a sip slowly.
Pretentious.
Guo Yuanzhen stepped forward, bent down, and flipped the low table in front of him, then grabbed him by the collar and lifted him up. Two patrol guards and Old Duan rushed forward to stop him, but he easily pushed them away and then each of them was restrained by the guards who rushed in.
Old Duan shouted, "Guo Yuanzhen, what do you want to do to our envoy?"
A guard elbowed Old Duan in the stomach, and he immediately bent over, unable to speak.
Guo Yuanzhen ordered, "Drag him out. I want to have some tea and a good chat with the envoy."
You've overturned the tea table, what the hell are you drinking tea for?
Old Duan looked at Lou Yunchun, who winked at him. He had no choice but to suppress his anger and worry and was dragged out by the guards.
After all the strangers had left, Guo Yuanzhen threw Lou Yunchun to the ground, stepped on his chest, and demanded, "Tell me honestly what your real purpose was in coming to Tingzhou?"
"I will carry out the imperial decree and read it out, summoning you back to the court." Lou Yunchun looked at the foot stepping on his chest and said coldly, "You are disrespecting the emperor."
But in return, Guo Yuanzhen's pressure became increasingly severe. "Don't use chicken feathers as a token of authority. Tell me, what are you doing here?"
Lou Yunchun felt as if a huge rock was pressing on his chest, making it difficult for him to breathe or speak. "Acting on behalf of..."
Guo Yuanzhen pushed harder, "Do you believe I will break your bones?"
Lou Yunchun seemed to hear his ribs crackling. He changed his tone and said, "Since you already know, why are you still asking?"
"This is all your scheme." Guo Yuanzhen was furious. He drew the sword from his waist and pressed it against Lou Yunchun's neck. "You are really good at pretending."
It was also his own fault for being careless. Seeing that he was young and arrogant, he thought he was just a dandy who was not worldly-wise. He didn't expect that it was all a deception.
Old Duan, kneeling in the courtyard, roared with bloodshot eyes: "Guo Yuanzhen, how dare you kill the envoy!"
"Aren't you trying to force me to rebel? I'll do as you wish." Guo Yuanzhen laughed in anger, "I'll kill you today as a sacrifice."
Lou Yunchun said, "If you kill me, Wei Chifei and Xiao Gu will come to attack us tomorrow."
"How will they know whether you live or die..." He suddenly came to his senses and said through gritted teeth, "Are you in contact with Wei Chifei?"
Lou Yunchun said calmly: "One letter a day. If we stop sending letters, we will send troops immediately."
Guo Yuanzhen scoffed, "If it were so easy to send troops, they would have come to our door long ago."
"Things are different now," Lou Yunchun said. "They've already captured your men. Sooner or later, they'll find evidence of your treason. As long as they have evidence to hold those treacherous men in the capital in check, it's only a matter of time before they deal with you."
"You know quite a bit."
"Thank you."
Guo Yuanzhen's knife cut into Lou Yunchun's neck. "Do you really think I dare not kill you?"
Blood flowed down his neck, and Lou Yunchun just frowned slightly, "Of course you dare, but not now."
This bastard was right. Now Wei Chifei and Xiao Gu were both keeping their eyes on Beiting. They really didn't dare to kill him until he found a way to break the deadlock.
Guo Yuanzhen held his breath and pressed, "How did you guys get in touch?"
Lou Yunchun and the people he brought with him were clearly under strict guard and had no way of communicating with the outside world.
Lou Yunchun played the fool seriously. "Though your Tingzhou is under tight security, it's not an ironclad system. If you can plant spies in Hexi and Anxi, then Xiao Gu and Wei Chifei can certainly raise spies in your Tingzhou. Besides, there are so many people in Beiting, so many soldiers, so many civilians. Not everyone hates the court, nor does everyone want to be a rebel. There are always those loyal and patriotic warriors who can be used by me."
His words "traitor" and "loyal to the emperor and patriotic" made Guo Yuanzhen furious. He cut Lou Yunchun's shoulder with a knife, and blood immediately appeared on the blade.
Lou Yunchun shuddered, his face pale with pain, but he still said, "Guo Yuanzhen, don't resist stubbornly. Obeying the imperial order and returning to the capital is your last chance."
Guo Yuanzhen sneered, "Last chance? What a joke. I haven't reached the end of my rope yet."
"What do you want to do?" Lou Yunchun looked at him coldly, "Do you really want to collaborate with the enemy?"
Guo Yuanzhen did not answer, but kicked him over, put away the knife and left.
Lou Yunchun shouted, "Guo Yuanzhen, you are courting death."
Guo Yuanzhen paused slightly, then strode away.
"Replace the original guards, lock the gates, and rotate guards. No one is allowed to come into contact with them. Also, interrogate the replaced guards severely. Make sure to find the traitor. I want to see who is betraying the people."
