Wu Zhi stubbornly refused to answer.
The disciple said to Xu Jiang, "She gave him drugs and knocked him out. Master asked her to undo it, but she refused. Isn't this just to piss Master off?" Then he sighed, "In all my years at Qianjin Hall, I've never seen him so angry."
Wu Zhi looked a little uncomfortable after hearing this, and then asked, "Is it solved now?"
The disciple shook his head, "No."
Xu Jiang burst out laughing.
Wu Zhi became proud again, it seemed that her medicine was successful.
Xu Jiang urged, "What's so beautiful about this? Hurry and go back! If Doctor Chen gets really angry and kicks you out, I wonder where you'll find such a good master."
"Hmph, you got it wrong. You should kick me out and see where he can find such a powerful disciple." Although he said this, his hands honestly packed up the medicine box.
What a hypocrite.
It was obvious that he was afraid that he couldn't be found and didn't dare to run far away, so he came to hide here with her, but he was still being stubborn.
Wu Zhi warned, "I'm going back. Don't take the sign off for me. Someone might come back looking for it later."
"I understand. Go ahead." Xu Jiang waved her away.
Only then did she leave with the disciples of Qianjin Hall.
The sun sets in the west, its shadows fade into the secluded alleys, and each family begins to pack up their stalls. Liang Mo also returns.
He had been busy all day and had not had a rest yet. Xu Jiang made him a pot of tea and asked him to rest for a while, then led the donkey back to the yard to give it water and feed.
After running for a whole day, my stomach was flat.
When Xu Jiang came out again, there were two people under the tree.
"Brother is back."
Shopkeeper Wang held up the tea bowl and sighed, "It's just in time, otherwise I would have missed the good tea."
"If you miss today, there's always another day. Brother, are you afraid you won't have a drink?"
"Look, this is the benefit of having a girl."
After drinking tea, Manager Wang made an appointment with Xu Jiang to go to worship the gods together, and then went back home to pack up.
Seeing that everyone on the street was heading towards Shoukangfang, Xu Jiang packed up his stall and started making samples. Then he handed Liang Mo a holiday gift that he had prepared earlier and let him go back to celebrate the holiday with his family.
After closing the door, Xu Jiang returned to the backyard to wash and dress, then put on a jade persimmon hairpin, changed into a newly made apricot-yellow and mandarin duck-colored dress, took enough change, carried a basket of offerings, and went out with the stubborn donkey.
The stubborn donkey was full and reluctant to move. After being hit twice by iron palms, it stood up on all fours and walked away with a clatter of kicks.
Shopkeeper Wang and his family also packed up and went out.
When Shopkeeper Wang saw Xu Jiang approaching with the donkey, he asked, "Are you going somewhere else tonight?"
Xu Jiang nodded, "Let's go to Shuiyuntan."
Shopkeeper Wang wanted to ask more, but was pinched by his wife. He cried out "ouch" and turned around, but was given a gentle glare by his wife.
What a clueless fool! The girl is so beautifully dressed, I can imagine who she is going to meet, but she keeps asking questions, how can I answer her?
Shopkeeper Wang understood and said "oh" twice in a dragging voice.
Xu Jiang was a little embarrassed and smiled awkwardly. Then he handed the stubborn donkey to Xiao Wang to lead and picked up Maimai and put her on the donkey's back.
Mai Mai touched Xu Jiang's face and said, "Yi Yi, beautiful."
"Maimai is beautiful too." Xu Jiang rubbed her face, then supported her and let Xiao Wang lead the way.
The streets were bustling with people coming in groups and with their families to worship the water god.
Maimai was very happy to see this and she clapped her hands and cheered from time to time. When they arrived at Taikangfang, the crowd was getting denser and denser. Xu Jiang was afraid that she would be squeezed, so she took her down and returned her to Manager Wang.
As they got closer to the inner river, the streets became more and more crowded. Shopkeeper Wang held Mai Mai in his arms and let Little Wang hold his clothes, blocking Qin and Xu Jiang.
Qin held Xu Jiang's arm and walked beside the stubborn donkey.
Fortunately, the stubborn donkey was fat, with erect mane and drooping eyes, looking like someone who was not to be trifled with. Everyone avoided it, and the family was not separated.
Xu Jiang touched its head and pushed down its mane.
Because they left early today and with the help of the stubborn donkey, the group arrived at the inner river without much effort and even got a good position.
Xu Jiang pulled the donkey to the side of the covered bridge to avoid being hit by the passing crowd, when she suddenly heard a shout from the other side of the river.
"Xu Jiang, Brother Wang!"
They looked up and saw that it was Zeng Zhui, and with him was Xun Yan.
Xu Jiang and others hurriedly waved to greet him, and soon he pulled Xun Yan onto the corridor bridge and came over.
Xu Jiang greeted Xun Yan first, then asked, "Why are you there?"
Zeng Zhui said, "I took Master Xun to visit Qiefang Sluice, and we just happened to get off the boat on the other side."
"Master Lin allowed you to come out?"
Zeng Zhui glanced at Xun Yan and smiled.
Xu Jiang understood, it turned out that there was a shield here.
Xun Yan smiled slightly.
Mr. Lin and Lin Hongchu were in mourning and could not attend such sacrifices and temple fairs. I think they were afraid that Xun Yan would be lonely and bored, so they took Xu Zengzhui out for a walk.
Zeng Zhui said, "I saw the small building just now."
"Where is it?" Xu Jiang heard this and searched towards the opposite side.
Zeng Zhui was about to speak, but suddenly stopped, and the words turned around and said, "I'm leaving."
"Oh." Xu Jiang looked away in disappointment.
Shopkeeper Wang said to Zeng Zhui, "Since we've met, why don't we go together? It'll be more lively with more people."
Zeng Zhui readily agreed.
As the sky grew darker, more and more people gathered, and shops, restaurants, and residences on both sides of the strait lit up their lights.
With the sound of a gong, the Taoist priest came onto the stage to offer sacrifices, and the people rushed to the altar.
After the accident in Fuzhou, Xu Jiang felt a dull pain in her hands and feet when she saw such a crowded scene again. She didn't dare to go to crowded places again and also persuaded other people to stay.
