After Hu Xu and Song Qiao arrived, Manager Wang and his family also came with grains and fresh seasonal goods.
Xu Jiang had no choice but to let the unscrupulous doctor go for the time being and went to welcome the guests with Lou Yunchun.
Shopkeeper Wang handed Xu Jiang the grain bag with blessing paper pasted on it and said a string of auspicious words, "Congratulations to my sister and brother-in-law on moving into their new home. I hope you will have good luck in all seasons and a good harvest. May your life be prosperous and fulfilling."
Qin also congratulated him, "I wish you all the best, happiness and good health."
Xiao Wang and Maimai also learned a few auspicious words from the adults, which made Xu Jiang smile.
"Thank you, brother, thank you, sister-in-law." Then he said to Xiao Wang and Mai Mai, "Thank you, brother and Mai Mai too."
Mai Mai imitated the words and said, "Thank you, Mai Mai."
Everyone laughed heartily after hearing this.
Lou Yunchun took the grain bag from Xu Jiang and said, "Brother, sister-in-law, please come in."
Xu Jiang leaned over and picked up Mai Mai, coaxing her, "Maimai, come with your auntie to eat some candy, okay?"
Mai Mai drooled and kissed Xu Jiang on the cheek, then answered loudly, "Okay!"
Lou Yunchun looked at the two, one big and one small, and felt a little touched. He wondered what Xu Jiang looked like when she was young, and whether she would be as pitiful and cute as Mai Mai.
Thinking of this, he had some other thoughts. He stared at Mai Mai and couldn't help thinking: If I have a child with A Jiang in the future, the child will probably be as cute as this.
Xu Jiang held Mai Mai and led Qin and Xiao Wang into the hospital.
Seeing Lou Yunchun staring intently at his sister and Mai Mai, with a look of earnestness on his face, Shopkeeper Wang came up to him and asked, "Is my sister okay?"
Lou Yunchun came back to his senses, smiled and nodded.
Shopkeeper Wang asked again, "Isn't my Mai Mai cute?"
Lou Yunchun praised: "Cute."
"Like your daughter?"
"Yeah." My daughter would probably be more like A Jiang.
Shopkeeper Wang patted his shoulder and said, "Hold on tight."
Lou Yunchun coughed lightly.
Shopkeeper Wang laughed and thought that the young couple was just thin-skinned and couldn't be persuaded.
"Brother Wang, what are you and Xiaolou lingering at the door for? Come in and have a drink?" Zeng Zhui shouted in the hall.
"Hey, here I come!" Shopkeeper Wang patted Lou Yunchun on the shoulder again, then pushed him inside.
Everyone was present, with men and women sitting at either end across the fire. Yinyin led the maids and servants in serving snacks and wine, and then everyone raised their glasses to congratulate the two hosts on their new home.
The fire is burning brightly, people are talking happily, delicious food and fine wine are enjoyed, and everyone is enjoying the joy of spring.
Lou Jing and several younger generations were discussing current affairs and articles in front of a roaring fire. Seeing that his wife was a little sleepy from being warmed by the fire, he asked Xu Jiang and Liu Mei to accompany him to the backyard for a rest.
She is the elder, and going to the backyard is just the right place to comfort the newlyweds.
After Mrs. Lou fell asleep, Liu Mei asked Xu Jiang to entertain the guests while she stayed behind to look after them.
Seeing that Madam Lou was sleeping soundly, Xu Jiang went to the small garden to accompany the guests.
The women in the family were all enjoying the spring sun in the small garden. Yinyin took Xiaowang and Maimai, holding a branch covered with spider silk, and chased butterflies for fun.
Xu Jiang played with them for a while, then called Yin Yin and went to the kitchen to get some water to make a few cups of fresh mulberry tea. She also picked up a few plates of snacks and served them to the guests.
Qin said, "Stop working so hard, sit down and have a rest."
Several people helped to set out snacks and serve tea, and then asked Xu Jiang to sit down and chat.
Xu Jiang happened to be sitting next to Wu Zhi and couldn't help but pinch her.
Wu Zhi was drinking tea when she was pinched and nearly spit it out. After swallowing the tea, she said, "Still holding a grudge. How can you be so petty?"
Song Qiao asked curiously, "What grudge do you hold?"
Wu Zhi was about to speak, but Xu Jiang covered her mouth, "Don't say anything out loud when the children are around."
After hearing what Xu Jiang said, Qin and Song Qiao became even more curious.
Qin smiled and said, "What's so mysterious?"
Song Qiao was also curious, so he pulled Wu Zhi towards him.
Wu Zhi ignored Xu Jiang's glares and leaned close to their ears, whispering Xu Jiang's embarrassing story to them.
After hearing this, the two of them laughed so hard that they shook with laughter.
Xu Jiang was so embarrassed that she patted Wu Zhi on the back twice, "You are the culprit, and you dare to make fun of me."
Seeing he couldn't dodge it, Wu Zhi simply let her slap him, still fuming. "Normally, you seem incredibly shrewd in your dealings, but when you meet your wife, your mind gets all tangled up. You might not realize it once, but after two or three times, you should understand."
"You gave me the medicine, and I didn't take it. How could I know that?" Xu Jiang was so angry that he pinched her face.
Wu Zhi dodged while glancing at her, just like a scoundrel.
"One person takes the medicine, but two people experience its effects."
Several of them were already familiar with the situation and understood it immediately.
Qin laughed so hard that she rubbed her belly.
Song Qiao had been married for half a year, but he still didn't feel thick-skinned enough. He felt a little shy and kept trying to hold back his laughter.
"You rascal." Xu Jiang was furious and rushed over to grab Wu Zhi back. He pinched, kneaded and slapped her, and finally pinched her chin and said angrily, "God should send someone to punish you."
Wu Zhi stretched his neck and glared at the sky, "It's a pity that God can't do anything about it."
Xu Jiang was itching to punish her again, but she accidentally noticed a red mark under her open collar.
"What's this?"
She was about to get closer to take a closer look, but Wu Zhi pushed her away by covering her face with her hand.
"It's a mosquito bite." Wu Zhi tugged at his collar and drank his tea calmly.
Xu Jiang thought to herself: Could this mosquito’s surname be Han?
At this time, there were shouts of joy coming from the garden. Everyone looked and saw that Maimai had caught a butterfly in a net.
Xiao Wang took the butterfly and put it into Maimai's palm. Maimai was not afraid at all. She gathered the butterfly with her two little hands, and showed it to Xu Jiang by holding up her two little braids.
